A first-person narrative by a mother who felt she lost her identity after becoming a stay-at-home parent. She describes prioritizing family care to the detriment of her self-worth and attraction from her partner, then intentionally reclaiming herself by exercising, dressing differently, and reconnecting with her pre-motherhood entrepreneurial identity to feel more fulfilled and noticed.

We believe in having it all. You can be a stay at home mom and you can have your children. But a lot of times, like, it gets undervalued because you don't find that fulfillment in that. And we tend to forget. Like I used to have, my kids were perfect. I had to make sure their clothes matched. I had to make sure their clothes was pressed. I had to make sure their shoes, I mean, everything matched. And their hair was perfect. And I was walking around with a bun. I was. I didn't value myself. I wanted to make sure that everybody was taken care of. I just left myself last. And then what happened was that I realized that when Andy would get home from work, the kids would run to to him, like, hey, dad, this or whatever. He show up with me and he's, hey, baby. It wasn't as exciting because I was just there. So one day I was like. I realized that I didn't really have an identity anymore because I became that mom, you know, taking care of the family. And I knew that I had another level because I came from business and entrepreneurship growing up. But I forgot about that when I became a mother. So I started working out, I started dressing a little better, and I started just being more interesting for them. And then they're like, oh, what's mom doing now? And it was.
