Short monologue-style excerpt from the YouTube video "RAISE WINNERS" (creator: Jacqueline Elliott). The speaker addresses her 13-year-old son Ian, describing a parenting choice made since he was seven: instead of indulging him, she intentionally challenges him with tough-love and high expectations to shape him into a leader who will make a difference. The tone is direct, emotionally invested, and motivational.

Chapters

Son's 13 years old. Ever since he was little, since he was 7 years old, I thought, hey, Ian, I can treat you like the rest of the seven year olds around. I can give you everything you want. You can have video games. You can have an easy life. I can tell you yes to everything that you want. Or I can treat you like the badass that I pursue. The leader, the one that will change people, the one that actually has his heart in here, the one that's going to make a difference in this world, to be this man. Sometimes you're going to hate me. Sometimes you're going to disagree with me. Sometimes you're going to want to give up, but you're going to be great. And we're very direct, but our heart is in it.
