The biggest myth about selling is that you have to know your product better than anything. And I think although product knowledge is super, super important, I think more importantly is being able to communicate and knowing how to read your people. So I 100% believe that people knowledge far exceeds product knowledge. If you know how to read your customer, you know how to make them laugh, you know how to sell yourself, you have a way better chance of getting ahead than somebody that knows and is an expert at the product itself.
