A first-person YouTube reflection by Jacqueline Elliott about reclaiming herself as a mother. She describes feeling empty despite loving her children, deciding to 'put myself first,' and how that shift made her a role model: her children now look up to her, compare her to heroes like Wonder Woman, write her letters, and value themselves more.

I love my kids, but I was feeling empty. I felt like I was empty. I felt like I had more to give. I wasn't an example to my daughters. They were looking at freaking JoJo Siwa and all these other things as heroes. I wasn't the hero. I wanted to be the hero. I wanted to be the example that my son knew to look for in a woman later on in life and how he needs to respect her. In the marriage that Andy and I had to make sure that we were a good example to our kids, I realized we were lacking that. When I found myself again and I decided to put myself first, everything changed. They look up to me. They know what it's like to have a strong woman to look up to. They know how to value themselves. They write me letters. They watch movies, and they see Wonder Woman, and they're like, oh, my gosh, mom, you're just as strong as her. Oh, my, mom, you look just like her. I mean, dude, that's what they see now. They look up to me. They want to be like me, and that's what we should be as parents.
