THROW ME IN THE FIRE

As a woman, I just want to tell you guys that we like to see you freaking kick ass at work. We want you to grow. We want you to excel. We want you to be proud of yourself. When you get home, you're like, babe, I closed this. I did this, I did that. I kicked ass. I'm like, this is why I love what I do. We want you to do that. We want you to grow. We don't just want you to be, you know, the husband that's just, you know, the good dad and all of that. We want all of it. I wanted all of it. Selfishly, I told them, hey, you can have it all. I don't want to be, like, part of the leftovers. I want to have that same energy. But I want you to kick ass. I don't want you to give me all of the attention. I want to be the battle mate. I want to be the one that goes into the fire with you.
