A short transcript from the YouTube video "WE HIRED OUR DAUGHTER" showing an interview-like exchange between two speakers (A and B). Speaker A says she wants to work to experience having a job and to get closer to Speaker B; she plans to learn how to film and will watch tutorials before using the camera. Speaker B emphasizes that learning often requires doing the less-fun preparatory work first.

Why is it that you want to work here?
So I can get an opportunity to see, like, how it feels to actually have a job. And so I can also get closer to you.
Like, you're wanting to work, right? You're here now and you're learning how to do. What is it that you're going to do with your work?
I'm going to learn how to film.
How to film? Why are you so interested in filming?
That's something that I'm interested in.
What is it that we have you do before you pick up the camera and start filming?
Watch tutorials and stuff.
Sometimes before you get to do the actual fun stuff, you have to do a lot of the boring stuff. Right. Put in the work.
