Short excerpt from a YouTube talk (by Jacqueline Elliott) describing the difficulties of living for Christ: the speaker says believers face intensified opposition from the enemy because they become a threat, warns against pride ("God will slap us around" when we become proud), but affirms that following Christ brings purpose and fulfillment. Tone is pastoral, candid, and admonitory.

It might be harder living for Christ than if you don't. Because the enemy now has a target on your back because you're a threat to the enemy. So you know what? Let me come at you guys. And I think the bigger the threat, the harder he comes at us. Like, if you got listeners out there and they got no problems in life, you're probably not a threat to the enemy. You got some problems. You're a threat and he knows it. True. And in spite of that, it's the best decision I've ever made. So much purpose, so much fulfillment. It's not about you. You're the vessel. Like, God used me. And the moment we start to go, wait, I'm kind of cool. Like, look at what I'm like. He's just gonna go slap us around and like, exactly, you know, every time. Yeah.
