In this solo talk, Jake Burhans explains the Hermetic principle from the Kybalion that “all is mental,” arguing that every creation in the universe originates as a thought. He outlines a three‑level model of creation: (1) thought – the idea exists on a mental plane, (2) speech – articulating the idea moves it onto a communicative plane, and (3) action – taking inspired, aligned action collapses the idea into physical reality. Burhans emphasizes the importance of sustained awareness, focused intention, and inspired execution to manifest anything from everyday objects to larger life goals.

I want you to think about something. Everything that's ever been created in this entire world all began in the mind. Okay, the first law of the Kybalion, or the first Hermetic law in the Kybalion, is all is mental. The whole universe is mental. This makes complete sense when you think about it. Anything that's ever been created in this world, anything, all started in the mind. This car that I'm driving right now, the phone that I'm speaking into, this hat, this sweatshirt, all created in the mind. Someone thought about it long enough, put their awareness on it long enough, to begin collapsing it into form, right? You think about it, you speak about it, and you do it. The 3 levels of creation. When you think about something, it's, you know, it's created on one plane. When you begin speaking about it, it creates and manifests on another plane. And then when you actually do it, that's when you really bring it into reality. You take action, taking inspired action in alignment with what you want. But everything starts in the mind, always mental.
