What's going on? Just wanted to come on, give a quick shout out to Jake and the Built for Impact coursework. It was amazing.
Hey guys, this is Marcus. When you first start this program, it feels like it was built specifically for you. No pun intended.
Hi. Hello. My name is Alex. I work as a lead manager in Jake and Isaiah's company, QA Homebuyers. Alex before BILT was an overthinker, always worrying about the future and constantly in a hurry as if life had a deadline. I was very hard on myself. I believe that if I allowed myself to enjoy the present or probably relax a little bit, I would suffer, you know, in the future.
I think before this course, I was really just stuck in like the systems, my operating patterns, and really didn't take a step back to observe like, you know, the intention behind every action and decision.
The way it talks about how we always operate from a state of lack and we're making decisions from pressure and fear, trying to fill this imaginary gap we believe we have in our lives. And I certainly was no different.
And after going through the whole program, I became more aware of my thoughts. I now process and analyze them, taking my time before responding. And yes, you heard it right. Yes, responding, not reacting. I used to react to so many things, even little ones, right?
But yeah, the course just gave me a great opportunity to, you know, gather some self-awareness and really be present in every moment.
What shifted for me after the program was a complete change in how I handle this pressure, calming my nervous system down and approaching situations with peace and creativity instead of that chronic, ineffective state of lack. That change was an instant. There was more space in my life for a positive and helpful mindset where ideas can flourish and decisions are powerful and not driven by that usual fear.
The pillar that impacted me the most was Break Limiting Beliefs. Yes, as an overthinker, I used to self-sabotage and I label myself with many negative things and I filled my mind with a lot of poison. But, you know, gradually that noise started to fade as I learned that I am not My thoughts. So are you.
The thing that resonated with me the deepest was probably the Section 2, Upgrade Your Operating Systems. I loved the concept of, you know, regulating, making sure you're in a place of regulation before making decisions. And then also knowing that you can't rewire your brain from a place of survival, right? You have to be in that creative mindset in order to make real change.
The pillar that impacted me the most was the Imagine one because it showed just how much resistance we face when we try to become a new version of ourselves and how to overcome that barrier to change. Because that's at the end of the day, that's what we're trying to do, right? To be a better version of ourselves.
And to those who are new to this program, I highly suggest preparing yourself and fully immersing in the experience. You have to truly commit to it, otherwise you won't gain much from it. That is all. Thank you so much. Bye!
If you're on the fence about this course, I would just say maybe take a look at what you've already tried to change, right? Because a lot of times we think that new habits or, you know, a new book will, you know, solve a lot of the problems that we're facing. But in reality, like, it's the system itself and like some more internal things that need to shift. And I think this course is super unique in addressing those changes that everybody needs to make in their life to reach their full potential. And for that reason, I think everybody would benefit from going through this course.
If you're on the fence about this program, I would have to say just go for it. Maybe you've interacted with some of these ideas before and you believe you have a firm grasp on it, but the way the— that build was made covers all the bases and answers all the questions you might have when learning or increasing your knowledge on these topics. And at the end of the day, it'll be the difference between knowing and truly living it.
And overall, it was just incredible. I think this is going to be hugely impactful to everybody who takes the time and really devotes themselves to practicing it on a daily basis. The foundations are no doubt super beneficial, but you know, the real, I think, change comes with, uh, comes with constant application.
