Real estate agent Jake Burhans learns why sellers ghost early offers. The seller says no written offer for a month, but Jake pushes to two months, explaining that market conditions shift too fast for today's number to matter anyway.
I know we're looking at a few other properties right now. If my team were to come back with an offer that made sense for both of us, is this something you'd be willing to put into writing today?
Um, probably not. It would probably happen within the next month.
The next 2 months. Got it. It might be best to revisit in 2 months just because, as you know, right, things are constantly changing. You know that more than anything. So getting a number right now is going to be— could be vastly different than it is in 2 months, right? So it almost makes more sense for us just to reconnect when you're like actually ready to move on, and then I can get you a real number.
