I used to feel like I never had enough time. The problem was I wasn't actually doing anything that moved the needle. I was just busy all day long. I thought I was working 10 to 12 hours, but I was really only working like 4 to 6 hours of focused effort doing things that move the needle. So I started working in time blocks. I would set a timer for 90 minutes or 2 hours and I would focus on one single task. What this did is it allowed me to get into a flow state and work at a higher rate of productivity than I would if I was constantly task switching. No checking my phone, no switching tasks, just one thing. 90 minutes, laser focus. This gave me enough time to actually lock in and get real work done. Once I started working in this way, I was able to get more done in less time with less stress.
