After building a million-dollar real estate business, here are 3 things I am never going to do again. 1, push harder when I'm tired and burnt out. This did absolutely nothing for me but run me into the ground. Now I honor rest and actually understand that I'm more productive after it. 2, dwell on my guilt about what has happened or what I could have done better. Again, doing absolutely nothing for me but making me miserable. What has happened has happened. Learn the lesson and move on. 3, thinking that something external— money, some level of the business— is going to fill an internal void, is going to make me feel better. Nothing external will ever make you feel better on the inside. Love, peace, joy, acceptance, confidence, significance— those are all internal states of being that need to be cultivated. If you do not change how you operate internally, the results will never feel different.
