I've been an entrepreneur for 5 years, and one of the best lessons I've ever learned is that your vision isn't something to be attained, it's a direction that you walk in. Early on in the business, we had these big goals, and I would feel a lot of pressure and fear and anxiety that I needed to get there, right? It was like some accomplishment I had to grab, and it was always just out of reach. But when I finally just shifted my perspective and realized that my vision is just a direction to walk in, like a compass pointing north, I ask myself every single day, not when am I gonna get there, How can I whip myself faster to get there and create the pressure and the fear? I just ask, am I walking north? And if I'm walking north, that is the win. That is the win. If you can look at your work and your vision like that, you will run laps around everyone else because the person who enjoys walking always walks the furthest.
