Nothing is more important than investing in your people. People are the answer to everything, and it goes a really, really, really long way when you just take the time to understand even a personal situation about your team members, your employees, whatever. Shows them that you care, and they reciprocate that in everything that they do for you. It's one of the biggest things I've noticed. I take the time to actually listen and care about the people that work with me. They appreciate that, and that energy is reciprocated in the work that they do. They show and they put more intention and effort behind what they're doing. They want to show up and be the best version of themselves because they feel valued. It's a super basic concept, but it is profound. And if followed, comes back in spades, comes back in absolute spades. You actually truly care about your people, invest in them, and help them on their own personal journey.
