Jake Burhans compares cold-calling 40,000 homeowners to building a personal brand through content. He argues that volume beats perfection: create 1,000 pieces of content and you'll improve whether you plan to or not. Stop overthinking and keep producing.
I realized that as I build my brand, building content is just like when I started cold calling in wholesale. I cold called like 40,000 homeowners, right? Just putting in the reps. The first call I had, freaking horrible, right? I was scared to death. Same thing with putting content out there, I feel like. It's just doing it, content after content after content after content, and you just get better at it. And you don't give a flying F what the content is. You just get it out there, and by sheer repetition, you know, if you put out 1,000 pieces of content, it is unlikely that you will not be better at making content by the 1,000th rep. So stop overthinking it.
