Unlocking the Success Mechanism Within You

Jake Burhans explores the success mechanism from Psycho-Cybernetics: choose a clear vision, stay emotionally aligned with it, then let go of how it happens. Vivid visualization rewires your brain and shifts your internal thermostat, which the external world catches up to. The key is relaxed trust, not frantic effort.

Chapter 2. All right, Chapter 2, getting into it here. By the way, if you have not subscribed to the YouTube channel, please do so. I'm going to be coming out with a full chapter presentation on Psycho-Cybernetics as well as other books I have. Buy Back Your Time, I'm doing. Multipliers, I'll be releasing those videos in the coming weeks, which is a complete leadership guide and how I've used it in our wholesale real estate business, scaling the business to multi-million dollars. And I'm gonna be doing with all the other books that I have been reading fervently over the past 3 to 4 years. Getting right into it here. So we are on chapter 2, Discover the Success Mechanism Within You. So now remember, this book talks about a cybernetic mechanism, which is ourself, and we are a goal-striving being is what it basically tells us, that we're always constantly striving towards our goals. And this teaches us how. So chapter 2. Discovering the success mechanism within you. Your job is not to choose the what— sorry, your job is to choose the what, the system handles the how. What does that mean? You got to choose where you're going. You got to lock into that vision and into that feeling. Let the universe deliver the how. I always, always use this analogy. We want to get to the how in a logical way. When the mind is tasked with getting us to our goal, we say, okay, we want to go A, B, C, D, E, F, G, all the way to Z. The universe works on a completely different playing field. Something that is completely logical to the mind, and it's gonna get you to Z, but it's gonna go A, R, C, D, E, Q, M, N, O, Z, and it gets you there. And the problem is we try to control the how. So when it doesn't unfold perfectly logically the way that our minds thinks that it should getting to our destination, we think we're failing. We think the setback or the challenge or the hurdle is a negative thing, but really it's perfectly delivered to us to mold us into the person that's capable of holding what we want. We don't truly know who we need to become to get what we want. We only have the desire, and our goal is to keep that vision in our head, stay in the feeling of already having it. Like Neville Goddard said, stay in the feeling of the end state and let the universe deliver to you. Understand that everything is always working out in your favor, okay? Every, every success, okay, it's getting you on the way there, but every challenge, every hurdle is morphing into who you need to become to get your goals. So understand that everything's always working out for you. You're always creating your reality. You are wired to win, okay? Every human has a built-in success mechanism, a mental supercomputer powered by desire. What does that mean? If you feed it a clear goal or problem, it will start solving it automatically, okay? That's the main difference between humans and animals, is that humans get to choose. We have a conscious mind. We get to choose what we want. So how does a supercomputer work, right? It works with starting with your vision. Under— first you got to believe you could do it, then you gotta have the vision of what you want, and you got to get— tap into the frequency, the end state of what it feels like to have that. And if you can stay in that end state, the universe will begin to deliver things to you. As soon as you believe that you're that person, start to deliver things to you through what they call synchronicities. Which are events, circumstances, opportunities, things that happen that are so random you could have never predicted that they would happen in this way, but leave you no doubt that what you're doing is working and you are on your path. They're like little winks from the universe. Carl Jung talks about it, right? It's like the signs and symbols of the universe. The universe doesn't speak in language, which is a very limited— like, the English language, or language, is a very limited way to communicate. The The universe communicates in signs and symbols and synchronicities. So if you can feed it that clear goal or problem, your brain as a supercomputer, right, or your subconscious mind as a supercomputer, you can just hold the goal in your mind and hold the feeling and stay in that quantum state, right? And this is also about what it means to quantum leap. So quantum leaping in physics is when an atom basically appears in one part in space disappears and just instantly appears in another part of space, okay? It's not like, oh, you saw the atom or the photon or whatever traveling from one place to another. It's like it was here, then it disappears, sorry, disappears, and then it appears over here. And that's what quantum leaping is with your state of being. Oh, you're this low-level person, right? And then you have this grand vision for yourself. If you can tap into the feeling of that, because we're energy, you're literally quantum leaping into that timeline And you're gonna have new thoughts, new ideas, new synchronicities, new phone calls, new opportunities. And that's how you literally quantum leap into yourself. But you need to have the faith that you're able to stay in that desired state of being until it collapses, right? We're so impatient. This whole world is designed to get things instantly. We can get an Amazon package in fricking the next morning. It's like I just ordered a micro USB cable. It's like, do I really need it at 7:00 AM the next day when I ordered it at 10:00 PM? No, but that's what we're conditioned for. So people don't have the stamina to actually get to where they want. You know, you don't love the process enough. You need to love the process more. Don't care so much about the outcome. Like, have it in your mind, but love the process of getting there, because what you achieve by accomplishing your goals isn't as important as what you become. Okay, so it's all in the becoming. The person who enjoys walking walks the furthest. But you were designed to choose, so you get to choose your direction. And your system will take you there again through synchronicities. Visualization is the key, is the access key. So you activate this inner system through imagination, desire, and emotion, right? Imagery, desire, and emotion. See the result, feel it as if it's real, hold that vision consistently. It's not just daydreaming, it's deliberate alignment. But we do this all the time. You think about a potential future and then you get emotional about it. How do we do it? We do it with worrying. We think about a potential negative outcome, and then we start worrying about it and tie negative emotion to it. And a lot of times we'll manifest that because that's what we're tied to. So why don't we just flip it and do this positively? So you want to visualize the desired end state. Now, when you get into a state of being, okay, and— or sorry, you get into a calm state of mind, your body is at peace, and you are visualizing a potential future outcome, Your body does not know the difference between a vividly imagined reality and the actual reality you're in, or your brain does not know the difference. Okay, Hebb's Law says that in neuroscience, Hebb's Law says that neurons that fire together wire together. So if you can sit down in your head, imagine your future, fire those new neurons of the new self, you're gonna begin to rewire your neural pathways and synaptic connections in your entire brain to be that new person. And when you rewire your brain, you're gonna think new thoughts, feel new emotions, have new behaviors, take new actions, and get new results. So it all starts in the mind. Why do you think Olympians, professional athletes, speakers, musicians, they're using visualization? Because it's real. It's backed by neuroscience, and it will change your freaking life. But you got to start the visualization, and then you got to have— after the visualization, you got to really— it's not just, oh, visualize. You got to feel into it. What does it feel like to be that person? What are the tastes and the sounds and the touch? And like really be vividly in that, just obsess about it, right? Until that reality is more real than your current reality. And if you're living in this different reality at the quantum level, the physical has no choice but to catch up. Remember, we're talking about the thermostat. So you're basically at 70 degrees, you're rewiring your thermostat to be at like 85, but the external world is still set to 70. But if your new baseline is 85, what's gotta happen? The rest of the world's gotta catch up and meet you at 85. So that's what you're doing with visualization and desire and emotion. You gotta trust the process, okay? The harder that you try to— and I've dealt with this so much— the harder you try to figure out, oh, it's not happening the way I want to, I had the setback, relax. Everything is working out. It's always worked out for you, hasn't it? You have figured it out 100% of the time up to this point in your life, okay? 100% of the time, you have figured it out. Undefeated. Think about that. So let's take that frame of reference into the present moment, understand that I've always figured it out. So no matter what's happening, trust, trust that there's a greater force, okay? The force, the force that heals the cuts on your skin, that grows the trees, that gives birth to children, that digests your food, that beats your heart, okay? That force that created the entire universe got your back. You'll be okay. So stop trying to figure it out all the time. Trust things. And be open to ways that these opportunities can come, that come in the least expected ways, right? Synchronicities. The more you relax— and again, if you're all ramped up all the time and worrying, you're in this fight-or-flight state and you're cutting yourself off from creative intelligence and ideas. That's why you always have to remain relaxed. Always remain relaxed. You gotta be the calm in the chaos, okay? You don't find peace, you are peace. You choose to have peace inside of you. And yeah, things may get chaotic on the external environment, but eventually that will collapse to meet your interstate. So you got to be confident, right, in, in the universe delivering it to you. And again, struggle in this fight-or-flight really shuts it down. So let go of the how. Don't— you don't need to know how it comes about. Just wake up every day and do the work, follow your intuition, you'll get there. Possibilities are already available, right? So the success mechanism draws from a storehouse of infinite intelligence. People could talk about this. There's like infinite ideas in the quantum, right? I talk about like different levels of consciousness or different radio stations. So on each radio station, there's infinite flow of ideas. And some people say like ideas are out there and like they get the idea. Like some of these famous people, I can't cite anyone right now, but said like, hey, like I needed to make this song or I needed to do this painting because I knew if I did, the idea was gonna go into the other guy's head and he was gonna bring it to life. So all these ideas are out there in this infinite storehouse of intelligence. So the moment you choose a desire with a belief that it's actually real, it becomes real. You know, your external world just hasn't caught up yet. The second you decide it, right? The observer effect in quantum physics tells us that as soon as awareness is placed on a potential future outcome— potential future outcome, aka an idea in your head, a vision— when your awareness is on that, it becomes real right in that moment. It's real, but you got to hold your awareness on the outcome long enough for the external world to catch up. And we're so impatient, we can't wait long enough and we quit, or we reach a failure when really failure is just— is part of the process of success. You have 1 failure, 2, 3, 4, 5, you eventually get to success. But we got to be patient, right? The universe is on its own timing, right? You— people want the thing, but they don't want to do the work to get there. They don't want to go through the challenges in the development to get there. You gotta trust everything's working out in your favor, and there's infinite possibilities though. So dreaming without the how. I use this analogy, it's like imagine you just won the lottery, $300 million is in your bank account after taxes are paid. Write out what your entire life looks like. Money is not an issue. What's your purpose? What's your work, your relationships? Do all that stuff and tap into the feeling of what it's like to live there. If you can just be in that feeling long enough, eventually your world catches up. Yeah, it might be a year, 2 years, might be a few months, might be 6 months, but you are creating your reality whether you want to or not. So if you're creating your reality anyways, right, maybe it does take 2 years, maybe it does take a year, but why not just think about the reality you actually want in a dream world versus the one you don't want? Because you're gonna be here in 2 years anyways, so why not just be thinking about the stuff you want versus you don't want? Right, the key is alignment with the frequency, not effort, because when you're aligned, ideas come to you out of nowhere. Effort feels inspired, right? So you really want to move when you feel inspired, when you feel inspired to do something, because that— when you're working in those inspiration sessions, you get like 10x done, which you would when you're forcing something. So if I wake up and I don't want to make content, or I don't want to make a video, you know, or I don't want to engage on social media or whatever the case may be, I don't do it. I only do it when I feel inspired to do it. When I do— when I am inspired to do it, I do it in like an hour and I get everything done and all these ideas and would have taken me like 4 hours. So it's not about more work, it's about more alignment with the state of being that you want to be in, and everything will flow to you. So again, you already have what you need. The mechanism is within you. Your role is just to decide what you want, be Visualize it and trust it. All right, stop obsessing over the how. The system is already working on it. The moment you truly choose, it is already yours. Just stay aligned with the frequency until it arrives. I think I gave you this assignment before, but I want you to just— if you've already written down your— if you haven't started this series at the beginning, definitely start at the introduction because there's exercises at the end of it. But this is all about visualization. I want you to set aside 5 minutes, okay, in the morning or in the evening to— you've already written down the 2.0 version of yourself, right? So that 2.0 version, who you are, XYZ, I want you to spend 5 minutes visualizing that. Sit down, calm your body down, relax. All right, there's one visualization or body relaxation technique you can do, which is imagining your body is just covered in cement. Imagine your body's covered in cement. You can't move a single muscle on your fingers or your face or anything, right? And just let your body relax. Take some deep breaths and then visualize that thing. It's gonna feel weird at first, might feel fake, but again, like method actors, you need to just play this role until it becomes real. See you in the next video.
