Jake Burhans argues Western culture teaches you to measure yourself by grades, jobs, and achievements. But you're already enough. When you stop chasing external validation to fill a void, you can act from abundance instead of desperation.

Western society has brainwashed you to believe that what you achieve and what you get in life is going to make you feel whole and complete. From the time we were a kid, from when we were in elementary school, you got to get an A. If you get a D, you're nothing, right? You gotta be on varsity team, you gotta go to the best high school and get good grades so you can get to the best college, so you can have the best job, so you can have the best success in marriage and all this stuff. You have been brainwashed to think that external things are gonna make you feel okay on the side. You're born into this world thinking that you're not enough and that you gotta go build yourself up. It's a fundamental misconception of the reality of this world. You are enough inherently and everything you do is an overflow of already being enough, right? You have so much joy and so much love and so much confidence and so much worthiness in your life that you just wanna give it away. And that's why you act. You don't act from lack, you act from sufficiency.
