The harder you fight your mind, the louder it gets. Most people think that the goal is to get rid of certain thoughts. You're trying to overpower them, judge them, fight them. That's like trying to stop the ripples in a pond by smacking the pond with your hand. It's just gonna make it more chaotic. Thoughts actually gain strength when you treat them like a real problem. They lose their power when you stop reacting. You don't need to win against your mind, okay? Because you never will. You just need to stop identifying with the mind's content, the thoughts, the emotions. Not every single thought deserves attention. Not every single emotion deserves action. The moment you create separation between your thoughts and emotions, you open up a gap to be able to respond instead of react in alignment with the 2.0 version of yourself. This is day 9 of the Becoming Built for Impact 90-day challenge. If you're ready to stop fighting yourself, follow along.
