Are You Done Being The Bottleneck To Your Family's Financial Future?

A webinar by James (Jim) Blakemore addressing why many non–real-estate professionals (doctors, lawyers, dentists, engineers) become the bottleneck to their family’s financial future due to investment confusion and inaction. The speaker contrasts two dentist scenarios—one exposed with no passive-income safeguards and one diversified with passive investments—and introduces his entrepreneurial background as context for advising on investment approaches.

Hello, welcome to our webinar. I want to thank you for taking a few minutes of your time to spend with us here this afternoon. My name is Jim Blakemore and the title of our webinar is Are you done being the bottleneck to your family's financial future? Now, a lot of people are probably going, okay, now what the heck does that mean? Why would you be, why would somebody be the bottleneck to their family's financial future? And frankly, the reason is most non real estate professionals are really, they're get, they're overwhelmed with investment noise. They're not, they don't, they're not sure how to select the best investments. They're not sure of what they should do to protect their family's financial future. So in many cases they do nothing. They just, you know, they do their job. They are, they're, you know, they're doctors, lawyers, dentists, engineers, non real estate professionals that have a very significant income. They're very comfortable in their lifestyle, in their family's lifestyle, but they're not really sure what to do to ensure or safeguard their family's financial future. Just imagine two different situations. You are a dentist, you make a lot of money. You do, you've got, you've got a whole, maybe you've got an office full of, of assist, you have other dentists in your office, you have many patients, your office is well thought of and the income comes in and you know, you've got the nice house, you've got the nice cars, you've got the, you know, you've got the first class vacations, all of that, but you haven't made any provision in case something goes wrong. You know, your income is pretty much dependent upon you and you haven't done anything to stretch to, to spread that out, spread that responsibility out beyond you and, and your immediate income, or imagine this scenario, your same dentist, you've got a, you've got a office, you've got assistants, you've got, you've got a whole book of satisfied clients, patients who are your, not only are your patients, but your friends and your, your income is secure. You've got a, you've done, you've taken steps to make sure that the income that you are responsible for your dentistry practice is, is backstopped by proper investments, a wide variety of, of projects that are passive in nature. You don't have to worry about them, you don't have to take care of them, but they generate income for you on a regular basis. Again, my name is Jim Blakemore. I'm a serial entrepreneur. I've been involved in various businesses and investments for my entire life. And no, I've got. I'll be per. You know, I was gonna. I'll say it. I've been involved in ventures and adventures in business, and some of them have. Have been very lucrative. Others of them have been, well, we won't say how not so lucrative. So, you know, my story starts. My story starts in when I was in college, I was. I was. I grew up in an entrepreneurial family. My, my. My family's history starts with my great granddad, who came to Texas as a teenager. He started a business. The business burned down. He was. He was, you know, he lost. Started sweeping floors in a sawmill to make money. He wound up buying the sawmill.
