A creator's views dropped from 500,000 to a few hundred after abandoning viral tactics for authentic content. They propose posting genuinely for 20 consecutive days to let the algorithm find your real audience instead of chasing hits.
Trying to go viral is probably killing your reach. I used to make content solely for the purpose of going viral, and eventually this felt kind of empty because I changed what I wanted to talk about. The algorithm stopped paying attention to me. So now I've started to talk more authentically again, and you'll see my most recent videos have only like 500 views, and my old videos have like 500,000 views. And this is like day 5 of me doing my new video style, and it's not really hitting yet because the algo has to find a new audience for me. Instead of getting a viral hit, you should just post 20 days in a row of you doing your actual authentic voice. My challenge to you and to myself is to start posting content that feels authentic to you and to stop chasing the algo.
