Instead of asking ChatGPT to write ad copy directly, have it ask you questions first. The presenter shows how answering prompts about your product, audience, and pain points gives the AI specific material to work with, producing hooks like "Ever look in the mirror and wonder when your skin started looking tired?" A reusable template helps you apply this to your own campaigns.

You may not realize it, but ChatGPT actually writes terrible copy, but I can show you how to make it write wonderful copy. You just have to flip the workflow upside down. Okay, so this is how most of you do things. You prompt the LLM to say, hey, write me copy, write me an ad for, let's say, a skincare brand. Let's look at an example. Okay, so I've asked ChatGPT in this scenario to write me an ad for a skincare brand. It just says basic things like keep your skin happy and gives you a breakdown of the ways that it works. Okay, so we're gonna actually switch this backwards, right? You are the genius. The LLM, ChatGPT, is just a partner to help you. So we really want the LLM prompt you. So to fix that, since you're the creative one and you know the brand, I'll put it down below, but here it is. Basically we're saying that you're the copy coach, ChatGPT, ask me the questions. And you'll see it'll give you a whole breakdown. It'll ask you a bunch of questions. Where are you running it? Who is it for? What are the pain points? So after we let the LLM prompt us and we fill in some things, we get much better hooks, right? Ever look in the mirror and think, when did my skin start looking this tired, right? It's leaning into the pain of that person. Or your moisturizer shouldn't clock out before you do. Humans still are the magic. And one day maybe ChatGPT is actually better than us. But for now, copy the prompt below, use it next time you want to make ads for yourself.
