Shopify's new AI toolkits let store owners automate tasks like discounts and customer emails without hiring developers. You just describe what you want in plain language. This levels the playing field for small brands competing against bigger players.
So Shopify released their AI toolkits, and I don't think that people recognize how important this is for small e-commerce brands and actually changes the entire landscape of how you think about e-commerce brands being run, who can enter into the markets and what happens inside of them. For example, you could just open up Cloud Code and say to it directly, what products in my Shopify store are having bad sell-through this month? Give all of them a 20% discount and it will just apply that discount directly. Or you could say something like, hey, go check on all the orders that are late and send them an email apologizing, offering them a free gift with their next purchase. But this is massive for small store owners. You don't need a developer to change things for you all the time or manage the store for you. Now it just comes down to, do you have the best products? Do you have the best taste? And are you a fantastic marketer?
