Janet Macaluso explains how to design work and life using living systems theory instead of industrial-age methods. She argues for understanding where your practices come from and building solutions based on your own essence rather than copying off-the-shelf approaches.

As part of the regenerative leadership framework and the third line mastermind, we also will apply living systems theory throughout how we work, not the industrial age approach. So we'll work from and design your life from living systems first principles. You don't maybe know them now, but you will. And we will then be able to not only understand but question what's the source of our thinking and the practices and the method. So anything that you want to be able to work on as you go forward, you'll be able to say and discern yourself, am I coming from an industrial aged paradigm? Is this where this thinking came from and the practices that I'm about to offer my people or places? Is it behavioralism? Human development? Feel good? You will know and be able to source the work that you want to work from from a living systems perspective. You won't get stuck on only problem solving the current existing issues. We work at the next level of potential and we won't be using blindly outdated traditional approaches. Now you might say to me, oh Janet, I get it. I'm not in the factory. I'm not in I Love Lucy's candy factory. And I'm just going to ask you to question, really just look at the world around us. Whether it's this generic track housing or the way we educate our families, our students, our beloveds, or even maybe the programs either I have offered in the past or in in you have offered or have been part of. Is it just a copy paste, off the shelf approach or something unique and special for you based on your essence and the people you work with? So next time we're going to actually focus on leading from essence. See you there.
