Janet Macaluso explains living-systems frameworks as methods that uncover hidden worldviews and change how you see problems. She describes them as a way of seeing informed by ancient thinking, not mechanical tools, and says they provide what she calls "ruthless discernment." The frameworks are meant to be shared and help clarify thinking about complexity.

The next point for the framework is critical thinking frameworks. These critical thinking frameworks really provide and offer us rigor, ruthless rigor and discernment in the way that we think. It uncovers, like an X ray, these hidden paradigms and worldviews. Sort of like I didn't realize I was seeing these through these, these lenses. And once you see the world differently through these frameworks, it gives you actually not only insight, cognitive insight, but it's motivating us and it creates this discernment that my clients say, I'll see things that I'll never unsee. And we're going from just looking at day to day existence and problem solving to really motivationally thinking, thinking about our next potential, not only for ourselves, but the people in the ecosystem we're part of. So it creates this clarity and effectiveness to help us deal with this complexity world in constant change and flux. And that's what I mean by being fit for the future. That's something that these living systems frameworks, they're not tools, it's not a process, it's a special way of looking based on a lot of ancient thinking, actually. And so I'm thrilled that I'm able to offer these as part of the program. It's not about blindly copying and pasting old mechanical autopilot thinking, it's actually not even thinking, it's thoughting. So I, I know being around my career for so many years, I've done things and I thought, oh, I've done it in the past, I'll just do it. And then I went from my last job to my new job and I'll just do that again. Copy, pasting, that's no new thinking going on. I'm not regenerating, I'm not reinventing. I'm not really a living systems when I'm just copying and pasting, that's thoughting. And what we're going to focus on that builds this rigor and ruthless discernment is thinking clearly around complexity and then also sharing these frameworks with others. Let's not keep them a secret. And it's sort of just, I love this picture. It's this hippo is seeing the world through his lenses and he sees his horn wherever he goes. That's what you'll be able to see and never be able to unsee. Last and final point on our hexad is the anti hero resourcing process that we'll look at next.
