Janet, why do you sign your emails Learning and Un Learning?

So, you know, I'm in the business of demystifying leadership for those prioritizing a more conscious approach to their work into their lives. But there's first, a little bit of bad news, and that's that our thinking and our doing is so automatic, we don't realize that it's sourced from outdated paradigms. We are stuck in the industrial age, the birthplace of behavioralism, incentives, bribes, gold stars. So I am continually unlearning these outdated behavioral approaches just because some external authority figure, a teacher, a boss, a guru, an expert, they told us that they know the way and that we need to copy paste their best practices. I'm not buying it anymore. It doesn't mean that I need to or you need to outsource your development to them.
