If you're smart, AI is actually gonna make you work more, not less. Ah! There are so many more opportunities to do cool things. You could build more software, you could contact more people, you could create more cool art. So that means the opportunity cost is higher. Remember that idea in Economics 101 or AP Econ or whatever, right? An opportunity cost is how much time you're wasting not doing something. So because you could do so much more, The opportunity cost of putting away your laptop is so much higher. I've noticed actually with me and my friends, like, we're all starting more software companies, we're all starting more projects. It's harder than ever to put away your laptop. It's harder than ever to sleep, for God's sake, because there's so much cool stuff to do. If you're lazy, maybe AI will let you chill. But for the ones out there trying to make money, AI is making us work more than ever. In an age of infinite leverage, you have to be smart with what you do with your time. That's why I built a project using AI actually called Elon Email. Every week it sends you an email from Elon Musk saying, what did you get done this week? You reply, you say what you got done, and then Elon roasts you, right? This is all using AI. It is savage, ruthless AI that roasts you and gives you advice on how to run a better business, right? And it really came down from this realization that the opportunity cost of not working hard is higher than ever.
