A creator filmed himself reading absurd books on the subway and hit 24 million views. He'd grab cheap $7 books, shoot multiple videos in 30 minutes, and use the stunt to promote his book on meme marketing. Low cost, massive reach.

I got 24 million views reading this book on the subway. It's one of the best books of all time. You might have seen my videos, me reading crazy books like that one and this one on the subway and many more, right? And so why did I do this? Because I wrote a book called Memes Make Millions. It's memesmakemillions.com. It's all about unhinged meme marketing. And so I figured, you know, to promote my book, I had to get super unhinged. And read the craziest books possible. So me and my video editor, we would, you know, take the subway and I would just read book after book after book, right? I would literally pull them out of my backpack. I'm buying these books like crazy from Amazon for like $7, right? It is actually the highest leverage marketing. It was insane because I would film like 7 videos in a half hour and these were getting tens of millions of views, right? Where did Subway Reader go? Daniel Pennygotten.
