A marketer with access to the app's codebase added a "Buy Red Bull" button that links to Amazon for a 24-pack, generating affiliate income. The button was supposed to go to DoorDash but Amazon had better availability. The speaker apologizes to the engineers for the hacky code.
The engineers gave me access to the codebase, so I vibe-coded a Red Bull button into our app. You just press the button, and then it opens Amazon, and you can order Red Bull. Originally, I had it direct to DoorDash, but it wasn't available in some locations, and I figured, you know what, you're gonna need a 24-pack anyways, plus I get affiliate income, and this is why I am the marketing guy and they're the engineers. Sorry guys, please don't see this video.
