Gartner's own analysts put it plainly: AI capacity is now constrained by power building. And we can go to the next slide. Mm-hmm. So, Q. Now, the supply side— every generator, every battery, and increasingly every large load has to apply to connect to the grid. And the application goes into what they call the interconnection queue. Lawrence Berkeley National Lab tracks it. At the end of 2025, there were about 2,060 gigawatts of generations and storage waiting in the line across roughly 8,200 projects. That is more than the entire installed capacity of the United States just waiting.
