A short YouTube video by Dr. Jason Dao introducing "causality research": what it studies (how one factor causes another), how it differs from correlation, and why it matters for designing policies, treatments, and interventions. The speaker notes a personal motivation (recent citation of his work) and invites viewers to follow up or contact him for further discussion.

Hello everyone, I'm Dr. Jason Dao. Today I want to introduce what is causality research. Recently I found one of my causal machine learning paper co author with my wonderful collaborators being cited again by a prominent professor including Eric Shin and Quin Zhang. So this intrigues me to make a video on causality research. So causality focuses on understanding and determining causal relationship, specifically how one factor or event directly influences another, which is the cause and the effect. Unlike correlation which only indicates that two variables have a relationship, causality aims to establish a direction and mechanism behind the relationship. Causality research is essential in many fields such as social science, economics, medicine and artificial intelligence to design effective policies, treatment and interventions. So if you are interested to learn more about causality research or doing causality research, feel free to follow up through direct message, retweet the message or like just get in touch. Thank you.
