20041209 || Addressing Devotees at Prabhupāda's 108th Anniversary || Malaysia

Be distracted. So being born in a yogi family, that's really good. Someone who's practicing the yogi. So this is one way to make devotees. We hope that we make many nice Krishna conscious devotees. All the Vihas Brahmacharis have their plans for other ways to make devotees. Seminars and some retreats and programs. Those who are already older, they can make devotees when they're ready. I remember once I was riding in one life member's car and he was playing the tape bogus logi yogi. And that yogi he some religious person who is known to do weird things but at the table said like that you will go and you will try to make spiritual advancement and you will be out in the outer space but you will not achieve anything and you'll be rent aside. It was like in this viable music. You listen to that. Oh wow. It's dangerous stuff. So then you know that was his selling point that do whatever he was offering. Because somehow that would be different. Noticing how they used Arjuna's question reversed it to get people to accept him by paranoia. So people that don't know the Bhagavad Gita, they don't know all these things. It's very clear. So the point is anyway we try the level best we can to be Krishna conscious. Somehow if we get deviated, well, whatever we can do for Krishna that always stays to our credit. There's a little account that's our fixed deposit cd. We don't lose for whatever reason they do. There's no loss. Obviously somebody gives up excuse of Krishna consciousness because they want to enjoy a little more materially. So they get that. That's easy to get much more than what they could have gotten just by some gross material attempt and go to the heavenly planet which is very tough to get there all the way. He had to do all kinds of agnihotras. And as for megas highest activities, a little devotional service. Because it's directly connected to Krishna. It's so powerful that it can take you to the heavenly planets. I told that story of the eight warriors of 18th chapter Bhagavad Gita. How they went Ramana and took over the position of the grant. You want me to. That's how that won't be. One time there was an Indra. He was seated on the throne in his capital. That time Indra capital was in the city of Amaravati on the side of the Mount Maryland. There were the Apsaras were dancing and the Gandharvas were singing and great Rishis Were praising glories to King Indra. Performer of a hundred astromeda Yajnas, charitable, learned ruler of the three worlds. Indra G like that. So many mantras and praises. So what is it? Flattery? You tell someone how good he is and then he wants to maintain his good name. You don't want to blow it. So he was super opulence. Indra has a hundred times more opponents than the other principal Devas Like Agni Dev and Vayudev who's the king of the Devas. But so happened, while he was seated on the throne two Vishnu Duttas came with a Brahmana. An elderly Brahmana from this planet. Well, Vishnu Duttas. He knows his boss's Vishnu and Vishnu Duttas are the messengers of Vishnu. Swamili got off his throne and came to receive the Vishnu Duttas. He went to them. Welcome. What news have you brought? You walked right by him. They took the Brahmana and picked him up and sat him down on his throne. And chu he. He was transformed into a Indra. Into Indra. Everyone look what happened. I just lost my job. This man. You lose your job? Someone told me he's in between employment. You get laid off sometimes. Didn't think he'd get laid off. Being Indra. That was a pretty solid job. Maybe his Punya ran out. Whatever. Somehow this Ramana came and was put in the spot. He wanted to approach the vision. Excuse me. Can you excuse me? They're gone. You know what happened? I just said Indra. You know you're our friend. You know we were together all day to look at Vishnu. He's our Lord. If he puts this person now, he's become Indra. You know Vishnu's the Parani swarm. What can we do about it? Better go and talk to him if you want to find out what this is all about. So then Indra day went ex. Indra went to Kirunakshay oceanside. There he started to pray to attract the attention of Vishnu. To get an interview. Hare Krishna. Hare Krishna. Then wish to communicate it. Yes. What do you want? My Lord? I've been trying to serve you. I've been serving you as Indra in this universe. And I was recently replaced from my position by one Brahmana from the earth. I mean I have performed lots of pious activities before becoming an Indra. I planted trees on the side of the road. I dug wells. I also performed Nakshi Puja. I performed the Mahadev Puja. I climbed the Himalayas. I bathed in the ocean. I did all Kinds of Punya. But I don't see that this Brahman did any of those Punyas. So how is it that he became Indra and I lost my job, my servants to you? Vishnu replied, the things you did were nothing very great. These are like dry fruits on the tree. This Ravana, he pleased me very much. Therefore I made him Indra. Asking me, if you think real quick like this, you don't get too many interviews with Vishnu. What did he do to please you so much? He wasn't envious. Challenging. He wants to know, okay, if he did something so pleasing to the Lord, I better find out what it is. How he said, do the right things. So then Lord Vishnu said he would read five verses from Bhagavad Gita chapter 18 every day. Therefore he pleased me very much. Climbing the Himalayas, digging wells, planting trees, doing a big tour, devotees. He just reads five verses of Bhagavad Gita 18th chapter every day. And I knocked off my seat like nothing. Obviously I didn't know what was preaching to the Lord. It is much more pleased the Lord if you read the Bhagavad Gita, digging all these wells and doing all kinds of Devi and Mahadev puja. That got me there. I mean, but I couldn't stay there. So then, 18th chapter. Please, says the Lord, let me give the Lord 18th chapter. So he took human form and came down on the earth. And he looked for a temple where he could learn the 18th chapter Bhagavad Gita. And he came across one Krishna temple. There was a spiritual master who was teaching 18th chapter Bhagavad Gita. So he learned it from him, learned all the verses. He memorized all the verses of 18th chapter. You would chant 18th chapter every day. He memorized 18th chapter. Challenged by memory, the whole 18th chapter. So he began chanting every day without fail. So after some time, Asundra had two visitors. Vishnu, Dutas. They came to him. He's a celestial being. He's an extraterrestrial. He lived for thousands and thousands of years. He was given some very special treatment there. So they came and visited him and asked him or told him. Vishnu is very pleased that you chanted 18th chapter Bhagavad Gita. He's very pleased with you. So now he'd like to know what blessing you would like. You like to be Indra again? How many of you want to be Indra again? If you had the chance, who would want to take it up again? Because Lord of the three worlds, Heavenly king, raise your hands. Who's fired up for them. He didn't raise his hand either. He said no, I already did that. Now after reading 18th chapter Bhagavad Gita I realized that Lord is the supreme and we should surrender to him. And the greatest thing is to go to him. He says in 18 so bow down to me, be mighty, lordly, worship me and remember me and you will surely come to me. This is my promise, there's no doubt. Send that to me. Giving aside all other religions and simply fully surrendered to me. I'll bring you back to me. I'll protect you from all the sins. So and so. So he said, I want to go to the Lord if it's possible, if you can take me that I can directly do service to the Lord. That's what I would like to do now. He said, yes, you can give me that bless. So then they took him to the spiritual world where he could serve the Lord directly. Who won out Exhindra or Brahmin who became in so the Indra who was chant, I mean the Ramana was chanting five verses. He must have been asked what would you like? I kept speculating. I don't know how it happened. But he didn't want to be Indra. He wouldn't be in Israel if he would have said no, no, I don't want to be here. I want to go back to Godhead. So he must have won in it and he got places in India. We're told by Prabhupada that sometimes the Voris are taken back to Godhead on a tour of the universe. They show different planets. Sinhalog, mystic powers, Jana Lok, Mahar Lok, Satya Lok. But before that you go to Hindalug and well if you like any of those planets you say wow, this is a nice place. I like it. It's like you go on the bus, you get down and you stop. So the Mitchell nature is very attractive, especially the higher planets. Long life, subtle bodies, no disease. Hardly people get sick in one day and night. Say they wear the garland. Garland is always fresh the day they're going to die. The garland feeds uh oh. Nice knowing you brother Faith. Everybody knows you knows Today is the day ladies. Thank God your whole life get all in one day. How many like that? It's all one day. Come back down again to the earthly planets. But if you surrender to Krishna, he says come back to him. So the real for me I this tells you that warriors, the 18th chapter, sixth chapter also has warriors. I don't remember what this is right now. But the real point is that surrendering to Ka, that's what's most important. There's not really any atonement if we make a mistake in devotional service. What one's supposed to do is continue to reform himself and continue with devotional service. So here we're talking about yogis who failed. We're trying to save people from failing. We're trying to keep them in the process so they don't fail. But even if somebody has that feeling, it's not the end of the world. They'll get more chances. Krishna never forgets. You serve me, so don't forget. But better if we don't fail. We keep trying. Normally it's really hard to achieve this kind of success. You give up Brahmanas, kings, indras. But now, by Oshitagi's mercy, the persons who normally wouldn't get such a chance, they get the opportunity. What to speak of just ordinary people? They can't deliver. They were like. They were like that. They were like the godfathers of the Hawaii. Even the government was afraid of them. All the organized crime intoxication seemed to be under that. Because, I don't know, they didn't have so much organized time. Whatever it was, they were the top. It says that they became such nice devotees that they were crying for Krishna. They went to live in Katwa because it would be too heavy to live for too long. Once Lord's time, they left Nabadim, they went to Katwa. It said that they would go every day to the Ganges and take their bath. They'd chant their rags and so they would be crying while they were chanting, crying in ecstasy. So from cold hearted murderers, torturers, robbers, criminals, they were changed into soft hearted Vaishnavas who are crying in ecstasies. That means there's hope for us. We should keep up with our Ka consciousness at all costs. Right? Time. Any question? Yes sir. Over here. Row number six.

What happened to the four handed, superimposed or disappeared. And what happens?

He gives fairness processes to Arjuna. Karma yoga, Jnana Yoga, Dhyana yoga. Here's Dhyana yoga. But also he gives Bhakti Yoga. So let's Arjuna choose what he wants to do. So Arjuna also says, I get confused. You tell me to do this, you do that. What's really the best? Krishna says, devotees who are most intimately united with me are those who are performing the worship of me constantly. And the most intimately divided, I consider the best of all the yogis. So some options are given here. It doesn't Mean that even in this verse Krishna the end will and of all the yogis, the one with great faith who always abides in me, thinks of me within himself, renders transcendental service to me. He is the most intimate Ayan with me as yoga in Yoga and is the highest of all. That is my opinion. So Akhimah different forms of the Lord. Four handed form of super souls in the heart. We know that. But super soul is coming from Krishna. So we can also meditate on Krishna. Those who know we meditate on Krishna. When somebody is more attached to the majestic form. I met one person. He says Krishna is too familiar for me. I like something majestic. I want to worship right. I can do that an option. Is that so Paramatma does have disappeared. But he's accident. Krishna directly takes charge of our lives. And since Paramatma is his expansion then he works under Paramatma. So we can say Krishna is in. They're not the one Lord. They're just different forms. Any other question? What happens is somebody he gets a bona fide's beauty. Says that if you rejected one of his virtue master, then you don't get another one. For 10 million births one cry of birth. Once there was a devotee who rejected was associated in Vrindavan. There's lots of dangerous elements for us spiritually that you get followers that like to criticize your Sampradaya is not good. We have better sampradaya this time. They give so many things. You take initiation to me. I'll give you your Siddha Pranali. Tell you what mobi you are. What associate you are in spiritual day allure people. If it was so easy then how would they give it to us? You find that even after people are revealed their so called eternal relation then they they leave also Krishna consciousness. They leave their own practice. Someone was told like that you're such and such. And later you see them selling gasoline that day problem small people. What happened to your s? It's not so cheap. You don't want someone to help. You are Gopi. You're a mopa. You're a con girl lady. Your mother a patient in the one set. This is all theory. I want to realize. I want to see Krishna and myself and my original form. We want to realize. We don't just want somebody to tell us. It's like they can tell us. We're Napoleon. What does it mean? This is something to be realized. Upalabdhi realization man. That king of all knowledge. Because you realize it by you know it by Realization not just nearing the bodies are strong. Because when they chain like they feel happiness, they feel bliss. They realize it. Somebody can tell, wow, Dharma is not real. It wasn't great. We know it's real because we're experiencing it. We're experiencing spiritual happiness. We know the difference when you eat prasadam and you eat ordinary boga. It's not the same few minor realizations we have. We have a nice futile big festival. We may experience the lacks when we read something and we get all kinds of understandings of the dreams. It would not have been possible. So devotees have their own kind of realization. Eventually we want to realize who we are eternally in relationship to Krishna. But that doesn't necessarily come very easily. They may come after we leave our body. Or maybe it will be real to us. No. So anyway, there was a time like that when somehow got the Lord was told yourselves. So he stopped calling Brahma took re initiation take reinitiation. When the guru is a Monothide guru, that's a level of rejection. So the Prabhupada once said, okay, he's not going to get another one of Thai guru. Now for 200,000 births. Everybody thought, wow, that's heavy. That's not heavy. I light is one corner. Normally 10 million. I reduced it to just a fraction. 200,000 special lessons. So that's quite dangerous. If somebody rejects the one to find a guru. You don't want to do that. Every day we read the 10 offense to Holy name. The worst offense is to offend the pure devotees that a kid is saying the holy names. So even that is if you think your spiritual master is not able to give you enough guidance. If you take his guidance on having a Sikh chamber, one should reject the mercy one's got him from the modified rule. Okay, Hare Krishna. Krishna, who had his name as Krishna. Is he the one that was South Indian? And there's a lot that Kalakrishna does. Sometimes Kaliyakrishna, who was the secretary of Lord Chaitanya. But then he also had a problem. He got rights of gypsies, was almost going to fall down. And then he was saved by Lord Chaitanya, grabbed by the Sika, dragged out from there. But when Lord Chaitanya came back, he said, you can't be my secretary anymore. This guy, the host I will fall I to save him myself. So then he was taken by Nithananda and brought to Bengal. There he was telling all the devotees of Bengal were to tell his best and the same. And I was going Ramana Dumi. And we came across one place Raghunanda and Thakur's ankle bells had fallen and there was a temple. I remember the name of the village. Anyway there was two deities. One deity established by Kaliyakrishnadas, another deity established by his disciple. So it seems like Krishnanda's mercy who had a little problem earlier. He was. He had one of the Mahantas and he was a spiritual master. He's the same person. We hope everybody stays safe. That's a good waiver. But even if sometimes one gets a little bewildered with it, I started really to try to keep them out on the path. Keep everybody Krishna Ganishes as much as one this may be somebody else. This one will surely attain Chichi Tapi and Shertunova simply by remembering Kaliya Krishna diet completely devoted to Lord 99 that Kaliya Krishna dies. Do nothing but the Lord is here to tie. He left his body while doing bachan and vagabonding. Maybe it's not the same that's Kalakrishna does in Raja Leela. He is Laga a coward boyfriend of Krishna Bharan it they all have been.

Very supportive and very kind throughout the entire episode. Not only them including senior Vaishnavas in our temple. Regional Secretary Prabhu Vice President. I'd like to thank them. And I got just a few points to elaborate on this. Inquiries were done with regards to the serious allegation by the poison sms. And I also have in detail explained all the accusations and allegations that were held towards me to Guaraj as you and respected Vaishnavas. And of course I also have to admit that I made some mistakes. And one of the main mistakes I made was lack of transparency in my acts. And due to the lack of transparency in my act a lot of speculation has arisen. And I mean if I don't have any more transparent activities many things could have been solved. Very, very. And I also like to admit that we know cardinal sin is committed or illicit actually is committed. So as such I have discussed medicine and devotees teaching Ashwin Prabhu and so on. And it's very very important for us to atone for some of mistakes. And as such I also have accepted voluntarily that the remedial measures that were informed on top of that I have also personally come up with a list of other remedial measures for my personal atonement which is which will I be taking on on my own. But there is something officially that was granted by the designated ODIs and something personally that they take a form of personal reification. And I believe the three months I'm going to spend in the holy Garba Dala Nirmapur will be very very purifying, will be very very reflective and I also use that to continue from my laptop in my studies. So I wish to continue that and I like to at this point I'd like to thank all those devotees, the Gur Maharaj, Swinesh Prabhashi Maharaj, Bhakti Nata Maharaj and all the senior Vaishnavas for their continuous support. And I also wish to gain your continued support in carrying out my humble duty as the temple President of Sri Lankanath Pandey. Of course not worry, I will not be here forever. So I actually the beginning of me accepting the responsibilities I made one provision that I would actually leave at the end of 2005. Somehow situations came about that I at one point wanted to leave earlier due to some reason that swish problem has worked out and it is also very interesting of the coincidence of the timing because in the year 1996 during the Srila Prabhupada centennial year I joined this temple and that was my offering to Srila Prabhupada to serve the mission of Srila Prabhupada Pulling and now It's Srila Prabhupada's 108th anniversary and it is very interesting coincidence as I saw and I see Bharavakrishna dances for good. So I take this 108 anniversary Srila Prabhupada's appearance festival as an opportune moment for me to renew my vow to serve the mission of Prabhupada with more vigor and more determination to serve the mission of Mahaprabhu to serve my spiritual master and to be more specific to Sir Shreem. And so basically with this I'd like to conclude my brief statement of apology. Once again please accept my sincere humble apologies for whatever consequences my personal ex would have created for the well being of your spiritual life itself. Probably some of the spin of events that to some degree affected some of our devotee spiritual life. I think it is a very very great thing and very adjusting of my part to impact your spiritual life in such a manner. I think it's rightly that I do for that apologies for such a thing and with your continuous support and your prayers I believe we can again come back and again do what is really necessary for the mission of Srila Prabhupada for the mission of Mahaprabhu and for the mission of Ismail as a whole. Levels of discussions is about as it was mentioned by sins that Uttama Chaitanya Das is going through some mental introspection where he can best serve Krishna from where he can be best situated. As it happens, you know, in the life of many of our Brahman Sharis that sometimes they think whether this is the best situation from here, whether I should be a rehasta. And then he thought that rather than becoming rehastile, which was kind of leaning in that direction for a while, then he didn't see our future for him as being a temple president. So then he was looking in other directions and things. So the first discussion he had with him was that, that mostly I would say in iskcon this being a temple manager or temple president is yet to deal with a lot of other married people. You have to deal with a lot of women and everything. Most of, I would say 80%, if not more of our temple presidents are actually riyanists. I said that leaving the service because you are thinking about changing your ashram, isn't that a really good thing? Because rather it's good to have someone who's already been through the whole ashram and knows all the Brahmacharis and also relates well with the link with the behestants to be in a position of a president, whether he's a Grihasta or whether he's a Brahmacharya, he's good to have those connections. So we're discussing an answer to think about. And so then recently he thought that he's not sure now he's going to think about whether which ashram he should be in as pain any minus in with anybody. The other aspect of it was that what seems to me, for me, the greatest thing that we've heard that was really been confirmed is that he just didn't act transparently, didn't tell us what he was doing, didn't tell similar striking form what was on his way. And so it became an opportunity for many people to pass rumors. From what we understand explanations, nothing very serious happened. But as a leader in our spiritual community, we have leaders that do business, that do collection, especially the Rehasas. We have all kinds of believers in our different temples around. They have to do business to make. And so that's not really the issue. But that somehow wasn't really communicated what he's thinking about, what he's going through and maybe it's kind of a stigma when you're Brahmachary and you want to thinking about changing that you want to share with you don't know who you can find them many issues we're trying to make it less of a trauma that it's up to people. People want to be a bharna pastor want to be a Brahmachari want to be a sarcastic let them do that. If they decide that's not the best situation you'd rather have smooth transitions and so these are the kind of issues Maharaj I only like to speak something he was also saying how prabhupada he was very merciful trying to always keep him by indeeds and think that over the years eight years eight years been a president how many years 12. Eight years has the one that's in the voted full time then he's done a lot of practical solid services got the congregation well organized built the center with the help of all of you and many other services. I don't think we'd like to just throwing a towel or stop his service. He's as he said apart from these two things which Sindh Shakubu read on he's made an undertaking that while preaching always with somebody else he'll always tell everybody what he's doing and be very transparent and won't make the same mistakes again. So we're hoping for the best and putting our faith in him. I hope that all of you can digest that also because we don't want to lose good people. So there's a war against Maya somebody who is wounded like I said what was just basically a communication problem as far as we can see. We chant our Krishna, we hear our Krishna and we serve Krishna. Then we become attached to Krishna. We awaken our love for Krishna.

Grow because of their association with Krishna. People who have other habits, other traditions, if they also come into association and they also share in here, they also experience a change.
