20041218-19 || Gītā Jayanti Class (contd.) / Morning Class || Mathurādeśa / Kolkata

A recorded morning class by Jaya Pataka Swami focused on karma, rebirth, and the spiritual power of chanting/reading the Bhagavad Gita. The speaker narrates a parable in which a Brahmin boy, reborn as a bull due to wasted human life, is rescued by a woman who donates "50% of her good karma," leading to his rebirth as a human who then resolves to chant the first chapter of the Bhagavad Gita daily. The talk emphasizes that even reading one chapter or verse brings strong spiritual benefit, cites anecdotal cases (including a prisoner released early after receiving a Gita), and ends with practical calls to distribute Bhagavad Gitas and an event announcement for a mass distribution on 1 January.

50% of her good karma.
Although sentenced to 20 years, he was released after 6 months following receipt/readings of the Bhagavad Gita.
1st January at Sunlight station car parking, starting at 10:00 AM; distribution for 100,000 (1 lakh) people.
Born in a good family. But you didn't use your life to be ka conscious. You didn't use your life to understand the purpose of life. So you don't deserve to be a human being now. In your next birth, you will become an animal. Human life is meant to understand who am I? What is the purpose of life? What is the purpose of Dharma? If we don't try for that next life, we can become a pasu, an animal. So next life. He was born as a bul. The girl went to the orchard to look for the boy. Found a dead body. She ran away. She don't dare tell even anybody because she don't want to get disgraced. So she has Hawaii. She there in the orchard. So she ran off.
This was.
So this boy took birth as a bull. He grew up a little bit. The farmer distilled him as a bull. So castrated him and made him a bullock and used him for plowing the field and pulling a wagon. Then one crippled man bought him to carry his goods. And he would go from bazaar to bazaar, hut to hut, market to market to sell some handicrafts. Just like there are some farmers selling some vegetables outside here. So he was selling things. So he was very poor. He would beat the bulls. He wouldn't feed the four very well. It was very tough life being a bullock. He was better off being a nice Brahmin boy. But he wasted that Brahmin life. Now he was a bullock. One day in the hot summer of May, it was almost 50 degrees. It was so hot, he had no water that the bull started to foam at the mouth and started to spin around and around and around. And he was making sound. And all the villagers were coming and watching. What happened? What happened? They seen the bull playing around and around and around, foaming at the mouth. He fell down. He's shaking on the ground. So very horrible.
Scene.
One lady saw this and she said, I give 50% of my good karma to this boot. 50%. She gave the bull died. The bull, the atma and the saddle body. Sukha Sharir was taken against the Amaraj, now Yamaraj. He was there. The accountants to Jagupta and others they said that he has to suffer more. He didn't suffer enough. He didn't get a fraction of what his bad karmas are. But Yavraj said no one lady donated 50% of her good karma to him. So now because of the good karma, he'll be born again in a Brahmin family and he'll get another chance. He can remember his previous life.
So.
This time he was born again. He can remember. So he don't want to make the same mistake again. He saw that first time I blew my life. I ruined it. I became an animal. I was suffering like anything. This time I going to make my life a success. I'm going to become Krishna conscious. I'm going to get back to Godhead and enough of this. Birth and rebirth. And birth and rebirth. And birth and rebirth. And birth and rebirth. And birth and rebirth. And birth and rebirth. I want to go back to Ka. But I first want to find out who is this lady that gave me so much good karma that she saved me from that hellish condition. How does she have so much good karma? She giving it away in charity. Most people give charity to get good karma. Nobody giving away good karma. So somehow he found out the lady and he went knocking at her door. Yes, she saw this young nine year old boy. Who are you? What do you want? I know. You don't know me. Ten years ago there was a bull who was homing at the mouth and he was dying. And you gave half of your good karma to the bull. So I was that bull. And because of your donation I got birth as a human being. And I can remember my previous three lives. So I just wanted to come to speak to you once to thank you for your kindness to me. And I also wanted to find out one or two questions from you, if you are permitting. So it was a big surprise for her, you know, how would you do it? But she said, okay, come in. So he explained how he had gone through these life and now he was getting another chance because of her. He wanted to know how is it that she has so much good karma that she's able to give it away. And she explained that Sidon a parrot and this parrot knew the first chapter Bhagavad Gita by heart. That this parrot was living in an ashram where the pandits were always chanting first chapter Bhagavad Gita. So the parent memorized so therefore, because every day she was chanting first chapter Bhagavad Gita she was getting so much punya, so much good karma that she was giving it away. So the boy was so much, had so much faith in the first chapter of Bhagavad Gita that he started to chant every day said O King. After looking over the army arranged in military formation by the sons of Pandu King Duryodhana went to his teacher and spoke the following words.
Of God.
O my teacher. Behold the great army of the sons of Hadu so expertly arranged by your intelligent disciple, the son of Jupada. Given this army of many heroic bomb and equivalent fighting to Bhima and Arjuna, great fighters like Yudhana, Virata and Rupada. There are also great heroic, powerful fighters like Vishaku, Chekitana, Kasi, Raja, Purujit, Kunti, Bolsha and Saivya. There are mighty Yudhamanyu, the very powerful Uttar Maoja, the son of Survaja and the sons of Draupadi. All these warriors are great chariot fighters. But for your information, Abessa the Brahmanas. Let me tell you about the captains who are especially qualified to lead my military force. There are personalities like you, Vishnakarna, Kipa, Asvattama, Vikarna and the son of Somadatta called Bodhisattva, who are always victorious in metal. There are many other heroes who are prepared to lay down their lives for my sake. All of them are well equipped with different kinds of weapons and are all experienced in the military science. Our strength is immeasurable and we are perfectly protected by grandfather Bhisma, whereas the strength of the Pandavas carefully protected by Bhima is limited. All of you must now give full support to grandfather Bhishma as you stand at your respective strategic points of entrance into the phalanx of the island. Sakam, Nag, Natma, Prudha Bhavan, then Bishop, the great valiant grandsire of the Kudu dynasty, the grandfather of the fighters, blew his bombshell very loudly, making a sound like the roar of a lion giving the old Havant joy. After that, the conchals, drums, bugles, trumpets and horns were all suddenly sounded and the combined sound was tumultuous. On the other side, both Lord Krishna and Arjuna, stationed on a great chariot dropped by white horses, saw with their transcendental kanchal. So the other kanchals in Bhai Bhishma Deva was not described as Divyav Shankar, but the conch shells in the hand of Krishna Arjuna are described as Divya. Lord Krishna blew his mantra called Panchachanna. Arjuna blew his the Devanata Bhima the voracious either and perform a herculean task, blew his terrific concho called Cobra. So like this, every day we read Bhagavad Gita first chapter, the lady told the little boy, and because of this we get so much happiness. So the boy he also decided, I'm going to read first chapter Bhagavad Gita every day. And the Parrot also revealed that he was become a liberated person by reading, by chanting Bhagavad Gita he could also speak and tell his history. Like this they all chanted Bhagavad Gita every day. And the Padma Puran says they all have seen the Lord ascend of Bhagavad. Like this, my dear friend, every chapter Bhagavad Gita. Even if you can't read the whole Bhagavad Gita readout chapter and that also will give you all the blessing. Even if you can only read one.
Verse.
That will also give you so much blessings. So on this holy day, Bhagavad Gita chanti Bhagavad Gita manifested in this world. World that vibration is dynamic, it's powerful, it's spiritual. It can liberate the entire universe. So all over the world we try to distribute many Bhagavad Gitas. Here also we have programs where you can get Bhagavad Gitas and send to your friends. Do some book tables here I think where if you don't have a Bhagavad Gita, you want to give to someone Give. If you want to sponsor Bhagavad Gitas it's also an opportunity to donate to schools, to prisons, to hospitals, to any kind of institution where they might have a library, where they might have a youth. For the Bhagavad Gita we have even a visit program, jail program in India where the visitors they can read the Bhagavad Gita. And we heard how one prisoner he was given 20 years sentence he granted Bhagavad Gita after 6 months he was released. If you read the Bhagavad Gita you'll be released from this prison of this world. How many of you are determined to read Bhagavad Gita? If anybody gets Bhagavad Gitu tonight.
