It's Sam. In this description of the Mahatma is clearly given. The first sign of the Mahatma is that he is already situated in the divine nature. He is not under the control of material nature. And how is this affected? That is explained in the seventh chapter. One who surrenders unto the supreme personality of Ravi Sri Ka at once becomes freed from the control of maternal nature. That is the qualification. One can become free from the control of mature nature. As soon as he surrenders his soul to the supreme personality of God. That is the preliminary formula the emotional forms. He. As soon as this living entity is free from the control of mature nature he is put under the guidance of the spiritual nature. The guidance of the spiritual nature is called by hypocritical divine nature. So when one is to morph in that brain by surrendering to the supreme personality of God want to change to the state of the great soul Mahatma. The Mahatma does not divert his attention to anything outside Ka because he knows perfectly well that Ka is the original supreme person. The cause of all purposes. There is no doubt about the Satcha Mahatma the great soul develops to association with other Mahatmas of pure devotees. Pure devotees are not even attracted by Krishna's other features such as the forehand and Mahavishnu. They are simply attracted by the two armed form of Ka. They are not attracted to other features of Ka Nor are they concerned with any form of a living God or of a human being. They meditate only upon Ka and Ka consciousness. They are always engaged in the unswerving service of the Lord and Krishna consciousness. It Sauls Muhammad here proper. He didn't like to Rakistan politicians. Sometimes they call him some great politician in the Earthenas politician. As a Mahatma I'm prophetic. Appreciate that it's fine with that. Mahatmas are those who accept the supreme personality of Ghaya and they worship and they engage in devotional service to the supreme personality by Krishna. That's the definition of the Mahatma the Bhagavad Gita. Mahatma is great and atoms and souls of Mahatma is grateful. There's many devotees to different devas and to different forms of the Lord's energy. But these are not the considerably Marmas. Many pious personalities may have many qualities. But to be considered really a great soul. Someone is no longer deluded about who's who engaged in devotional service to the Lord. I was talking with one family and they were saying that all the Lakers were worshipping all the devas was already attached to them. So they Presented very famous mindsligan and were very attached. They wanted to continue to show their affection. And I explained that that's okay. We also respect all of the devas. Again that Christian Hathex Devas are angels who are responsible for managing the material for the supreme Lord. We also worship them. But we worship them as in the what is the relationship to Krishna? Everybody the first thing in spiritual life is Ubanda. And every day in the prayer time. First knowledge relationships. Know who you are, how you relate with the supreme things. That all the daylights are equal to Krishna or independent of Krishna or somehow they're all independent Florence Gods. The Vedas are actually very clear in one of these it too much for us. So when people set up their altars we have to establish this Krishna to everything then come from Krishna Kambhalara. Then comes the Narayana forms the Mahavishnu Yarbudaksha, Yishna Yoga. Daksha is a Vishnu form super soul with the original format Krishna. This is the form that's Krishna. So then accordingly, you put Krishna at the top of the altar. Put him in the templates altar in the worship first. Then you offer respect to the other dealers. There's no harm offering respect when the respect should be offered in accordance to their relationship. Six is every evening Lord Shiva renowned takes the form of a Gopi and goes to guard the Ras Dila. So if you want to be on the Ras Dila you have to get the blessing with Shiva. That's Gopishwar. So to get free from various obstacles to worship Ka Although the bodies are going and worshipping Upeshwar Shiva. Shiva is a bobi. But then Krishna realizes only one male in and that's Krishna. I renounce that to be to him. Shiva wanted to come that he could become a Gopi. For that he got transformed into a Gopi disrespecting he was given the job of being a gatekeeper. Then the devotees they had to worship the Gopis worship Pattayami form of Durga in order to be Krishna as their husband. For the right things one can worship the Devas. One should be for the right and the right understanding of relationships. Ultimately it's Krishna is giving what he gives through assistant. If it seems like somebody has a mixed loyalty two things. There's two supreme words. That's the problem of spiritual life. It's a big obstacle. There's Mahatma. If I understand the one supreme court the original don't have that confusion anymore. We want in all devotees to become Mahatmas. I was thinking that today is Christmas Eve. So the prophet once mentioned that Jesus was also a Vaishnava. Then he said he was Shakar. He was preaching all of God. And Prabhupada mentioned how he as a preacher he sacrificed in fact he was Margaret in order to deliver so many people different times he'd say different things. But the other we don't know of course exactly what his original teachings are anymore. Some controversy over the editing of the Bible but some are saying that he said only except those who would follow him. Whereas in the case of Lord Chaitanya he is his death to everybody. They're hoping to get around the trial so they're hoping that they get blessing to be released. One said he was multimillionaire, but he was there for some tax. But it was remarkable that many of them were mentioning one person sincerely said that I'm actually in many ways and grateful that I come to jail because I got Krishna. If I wasn't here, I would say I probably wouldn't, you know, lose my circle during a work in Krishna. But somehow here I got Krishna and chanting reading the Bhagavad which is quite one person he was life sentenced assassin. So we're all in this prison house the material world. And they told they come down and they try to help us to get out of this material world. When you're in prison, you get some special realization that you are compliant. And when you're out of the business, you might think that you're free. Whole world is there for you to enjoy. This is just a bigger prison. Prisons within the prison. So the real point is that we're supposed to get out of this prison by being Krishna conscious. So anyway, Ashwini was praying for liberating everybody from this material prison and sending them all back to Ghana. Krishna said he can do it. So the war comes down into this person who delivers this one's out. So they do prison preaching and have an experience worrying preaching to the prisoners but not being in prison. They come out grace and wazir. But interesting. So the great souls there are certain under the divine protection. Even in one sense. Sometimes teaching is a thankless death. Not so many people appreciate the different mahatmas. Sometimes when they were oppressing the name is on the report. Jesus was present and saying that the Roman emperor gave a choice. You could have the man Barbarous who was a criminal free or Jesus free. And the people voted for martyr and crucifix like Jesus. Some kind of difficult situation. Try to help people. But then when they're not appreciating what this is telling today they have a cup day today. Because for New Year's or Christmas Eve more people are under the influence of. In some places when people get impressive here they become a little more narrow. But here they become more aggressive. They don't like to not so receptive to read the books. But I have this wonderful audience from Guyana who migrated to Canada. Just like many people migrated from different places here. Guyana is in the South America, but in the Caribbean area. So there's a huge expanse of land and they grow a lot of sugar cane and tropical things, mangoes. Most of the people there are from Bihar, originally from India, few from Tamil Nadu who migrated there under the British rule. As people migrated in many places like Malaysia, Singapore, Fiji. Guyana is writing four plates. So many of the people migrated to America and to Canada. So this person had migrated to Canada. He was a master welder. He was getting $40 an hour from roaming. So then in the weekend he was going to the publisher and he wrestled. And thanks to Cave he met one devotee who was distributing books offered him to buy what he did. He said, I don't know, I am, but I don't know, bhai. And then he went to some other pub and a Few more. Where's the winter tank? This. This time? This time maybe they don't know was in the winter. So everyone realizes it's colder here in December. Here it's summer and there it's winter. There it's like freezing cold minus 20 and stuff. So when he came out from that just for Ramakrishna the same devotee was there to Islamic and solitude. I'm just begging you very humbly take this bar. This is what everyone just get anybody take it. I think you're a nice man. I want you to have this bar. So he thought here I am an immigrant of this country and here an ethnic Canadian is begging me for I reach the top. This must be a symptom of my success carrying out. They gave him $10, put him in his big case, went home. Although he had a background but being alone from the family country where people bring more to me he got into the situation. But then he completed by real association he got awakened. So the book is traditional. So how one book takes something. You never know one book can make such a big difference. 15 My point of the goal is to distribute 108,500 million the heavy competition. And this person made so many his family members, his friends, many other greetings. But he was a very active preacher. Now he's moved to Orlando and still preaching. So we're out to make mahatmas. Normally it's not so easy to make mahatmas. Some Mahadmas come down from the spiritual world. Some are made what got up and Was following behind Lord. Some of the followers wanted to stop him. You know, and after all, John comes back to see anything new. He was. I mean, should we have stopped him or something? Obviously he's under the influence of alcohol and that will wear off by tomorrow. But he was chanting Hare Krishna. And the benefit of that will stay within forever like that Every month. I was told by he was working as a some kind of accountant in one firm. Or maybe, you know, one of his work colleagues picked up a book from somebody in the street with George Harris Tamihan. So he gave that to George Aaron. I think I like George Aronson. They said his friend wasn't like a devotee or anything interest partying, girls, whatever. But he was. So I got to book everything him. And when he got to go to Then he got very inspired, went to see the temple. Just happened to be Radha Yacha in New York Rome. While he was there, she actually saw Shogun and went to the right judgment central birth. So he's our own boots book for discount mediator. So some he got delivered by second. What's it called third party Hasan book. Somebody got the book and he handed it to him. You never know. I don't have one. One disciple. They were on his shelf. And for three years he did read the books. This gave his formation as you know, it's a good cause. Sometimes we'll visit some temple. I guess life inspired him to give after two years. One day for some reason he said I wanted to book it all along the way started reading the Brahman. He then shrink. He was the Brahmin by birds. And he was every day doing Pujas. One of those altars with all the name. You never knew who was the supreme. When he read the Ra book book he said it's so clear Krishna is supreme. I never know. And his name was also Krishna. But you never knew that Krishna was supreme of all kind of people. And that was very clear. So now his whole family chance 16 rounds. It took three years. This is the book. It's all sitting there. So Prophet is sort of their map to alter. Mahabhas are not bewildered. Most people are bewildered. Remember ask some student what's the purpose of life? Purpose Graduate, get a job, get married. Yeah, but then all die. Unless all. What's the purpose of the whole thing? I didn't think about that too much. I gotta pass my finals, I gotta get a job and so many other things I'm worried about. Right, but where they're actually headed or they bring the whole thing toward literally. But this is a type of Indian what to speak of society. Some people have making a lot of money for the purpose, not to make more money, build more buildings, buy bigger yachts, have a better big house, nice bigger parties. When they said they have a party that spent $500 ahead for the cater from there, tell you what to eat. But like the people that don't know how to do it. I just read this morning, sitting paper, one lady, after 17 years of faithful association and kept dying. And she phoned her kid for $50,000. 50,000, which is maybe 65 or more. More positive. Now she's got little kid, same exact pimples, birthmarks. But it is not known that by being so much attached to the problem of soldiers, the cast of interest. Actually, if you want to have children, you have a cat in the house. The cats can see whether the lady mother is pregnant. They have like some subtle vision. They can see ghosts and things. Just like when the cat runs across your path, it's considered bad luck. Because they chase ghosts doesn't mean the cat's not the bad luck. It's the ghost. This is the ghost. People say. I know they can see. That's what people say anyway. They're supposed to perceive that the baby knows that when the baby is born, the baby's going to get all the affection, all the cuddling and petting and everything that I get won't get anymore. So that the cat curses the mother to have a miscarriage. So if you have a cat and you have a miscarriage, you want to have a baby, rid of your cat, send the cat away. The point is, people want to get so attached to everyone like that, spend so much money. And when they die, because I know what the purpose of life is, they spend all their heart and energy giving so much attention to their family members. Or better step up. But then still just people are exploiting work, family, protect to care one family and they spread to another family. And that also makes them very much conditioned. So Prabhupada was encouraging them to be Vyasas, householders who have spiritual purpose in their life. The true title of Vihasta household was the Pihanedis and Vihastas Pihanna just based on personal and extended Sanskritification. Everybody should be essentially happy and the Ghast says everybody should be essentially ka conscious and essentially attracted. But say that everybody is liberating it all work together. Krishna is in the center or sense gratifications in the center. The green on atheist nature is to be envious and want to deliberate other conditional households. This went to a new country in the memories for the first time. Whether it's some devotees who are working some people who are working there one or two demotions and because we requested them when they went there that they should start house programs. And it's very much restricted Although you're allowed in that country to do a program in your house. But if you disturb the neighbors then you get deported. So you're risking your whole life chances. So but still they took their list and they were preaching there for about three years. I went there and there was about 50 people chanting on Krishna. 20 people took Siksha levels. So let us Vinhasta actually trying to help other people to be Krishna consciousness or Mahatma. Where you become Mahatma is by acting like this to try to help other people to be Krishna take that sacrifice. I would tell people to be very careful. Don't take necessarily but try to heal our Krishna something I'm really grateful to see how Krishna is spreading. And also just on the way here I went to Thailand for the first time for a while. I remember for a few years although it's my zone but there's nothing going on in the wild. But recently visiting more regularly the tormention loading up. There's a couple of disciples there who came from study in the Thai university. Quite a number of people I just was there for in transit for less than 24 hours and about 30 people came to see me looking up like this. I try and encourage everybody before the if this one Mahatma one great soul and they would empower others to preach. The problem by this being great Mahatma came by Krishna but he didn't want to keep it to himself. He wanted that we should also be creatures of the spread Krishna consciousness take care of mountain deities and other beings. Just like Goliath was preaching to his school friends. Maharmas are fully engaged in devotional service. They know me as this famously original and exact. So we're teaching people how to be fully engaged in devotional service. Hallelujah. So what we want to do is attach everything in Vishnu. Whatever you dream material to attach it to Krishna do it for Krishna. And then if you start doing more everything for Krishna those things that you can't do for Krishna is those things you want to do gets from. But more or less 80, 90% everything you can do for Krishna only thing you can't do is get drunk for Krishna chant har Krishna service. But even then you're out pretends I'm naked. But if someone doesn't have so much income but they take a hand in a big house and they're working double shifts, triple jobs. At a certain point it becomes what they call uber karma which is like over endeavor. You don't need that. You have to see what your needs are, what you actually need. As soon as they come, they said you sit down and read the chapatis and they cook the name people living in a little guy's heart. I went to this one place. There was no road. We had to go by nail and boat for two hours we went by boats. Then from one left a big boat to a small boat going in St. Louis canal. And there somewhere in the middle of lonely or whatever three hours from the nearest rows where there's a little grass hut, there's no electricity everything hand pumps and they cook us at 20/ preparation 20sub G's three core dials, eight sweets serving all relational living in a grass hut in the middle of, you know, say the jungle. But you know, it's like you know quite in one place. You know what we consider to be the infrastructure of the modern civilization. So if you use whatever you have, if you use Sri Krishna, you use have a percentage work. If Krishna sees it from they're going to use whatever I give them for Krishna just like they're pursuit Brahman. He was given a palace and they used the position. The Krishna sees that you're going to get a big house, get all worked up, pay huge mortgages, going to stop sharing your job right now and forget about worshiping, forget it. You have to keep your priority. How do you do so how to do that? So right now I come for the Sunday feast. Things like that take care of your family, your children and everything. So then how to balance it? You have to work then if you don't have a watch the best we have all in life we have a goal. We want to be fishing consciousness. So we don't want to take it 30 yearly basis on Krishna consciousness you never know whether you died in the meantime or you go back after 30 years or five years. You have to keep on. Anyway, I'm trying to keep it better because I decided the way they move around in the house is here. It's not a difficult thing. You have one house, you get more money later you get a bigger house. Just put this one was shopping in Dubai. Dubai shop. Just so happened that everyone. Whenever you buy something over a certain amount they give you your receipt and it's automatic. You don't even enter. Just automatic enter. Automatic. She won a card, $70,000 card. She's not getting $70,000 card. So if you want to do, I'll sell it. Put my daughter. Find a way for my daughter to go to college, give so much tuition, whatever. She has a plan. She asked about this. Well, didn't gamble. You didn't gamble? You didn't invest your money. You just. When I was flying over here, I was connected to all the airline agents and didn't do what they told me they're going to do and end up charging me lot more for my ticket than what I was expecting to pay. So I was thinking again of wasting Christ's money and never even pay this much from Australians what to do. I was going to get around the wood tick if it didn't work out. And then they had a. A raffle in the airplane. They're giving away free tickets and somehow I paying attention but. So we get whatever comes the point of what comes. But be a reasonable labor to use that sometimes in case we do not get what we desire should it affect us. William Harris, the businessman. But then he would have then put all his energy in his business. But he did a business on maintenance more to maintain his family and everything. But he gave a lot of time for his preaching and book publishing and everything as a great hostile. So because of that he sacrificed making a lot more money. He made that decision that I don't want to give up my Krishna consciousness for the sake of just making a lot of money. That same decision.
