Sam Ram. Sam Ram. We were talking about Lord Chaitanya's parents appearing from Sri Hatha and coming from Sri Hatha to Navadri and Nithi Langa appearing in as the son of Anayoja and who Padmavati Babi is. I'm going to take test at the end of my period here to make sure you remember all the details. I remember my take. So what was the situation? We also talked about how Abduter Gosai was frustrated with the situation in Nawadeeb and all the people were pious, so called pious. But they were totally non devotional. They were worshipping different demigods for material benefits. The so called learning pandits. They only gave interpretation of Bhagavad Gita and Rman Bhagavatam on how to have good sense gratification. Dharma Artha Kama. The Gadavtadha Kama. We heard about kama this morning from his holiness Lokanath Swami. Elaborate discussion on Kama. So that was the goal. Very few, very rare. Some people wanted merchant, but no Bhakti, no love of Godhead. This was the problem. In fact people would put on big wedding ceremonies to show up how rich they were, how religious they were. They married their daughters spend. Even today in India, some men, they spent millions of dollars for one wedding. Their dare not get divorced. It's a big thing, weddings. So that was the situation in our big wedding. It was kind of a religious ceremony. So somebody married his daughter, spent a big bundle, give everybody a big feast. Then the other person, he'd already married his daughter. He did a bigger festival for his daughter than the other one that did. The first one he had no daughters to marry. So then he decided to marry a cat and a dog. I mean a male cat and a female cat. Later on the next one he had more daughters. He married a male dog and a female dog and cat. One word. There was a staircase at the time, but it was dogs and kids. So then the Vaishnav. What does this have to do with religion anymore? Dogs don't get married, cats don't get married. Human beings get married. So it was like everything. Superficially it was all really religious but. But what was really going on was just egotures, just such kind of things. No Ka consciousness. So now Dvaita. This was the kind of environment. So Advaita. He worshipped Lord Krishna by offering Tulsi leaves and Ganges water. He loudly shouted the names of Krishna begging Krishna to come down. Fasting, crying, praying, worshipping. He somehow got the reciprocation I will come. He's going to come. Meanwhile, Sachin Bhatta conceived of a child by an immaculate conception. They had no relation that night. But he had dream. They both had the same dream that a light came in the heart of Chagannath Mishra transferred to the heart of Sachin Mata went from her heart to her womb. And it was a brilliant, effulgent light. Actually in all the cultures it says the name of God is holy. I was listening to a tape rabbi. He was talking to a bishop or a cardinal. And he quoted in the Bible it says, O our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, for the name is holy. Many people don't know what is the name of God. God is English. God has to have some names. Probably in some ancient languages. Like president, something that Mr. President. You can say that Mr. President, whoever the president, he has a name too. I won't even say his name. Don't get purified by that God. Lord God. Lord God. Lord God is superhero, transcendental. He has a name. So the Vedas in Sanskrit, they have many of these names of God. They have Vishnu's Astrana, the thousand names of Vishnu, which includes Krishna, Rama, Govinda, Vishnu Narayana. So many. Some people like to chant Vishnu's Astrana. But amongst all the deeps, Lord Shiva and the Shiva Purana. He said that the name of Ram is equal to a thousand name Solution. We find out how Jagannath is. Want to see what we have seen about his health. We get some news about Jagannath. Will he be better by tomorrow? I think he recovers and simply resting a little more by tomorrow morning. So the devotees of Krishna, the Vaishnavas, the devotees of the supreme Lord, they would be chanting these names for other people who are not having so much faith in the ming that they didn't purify anyone. They thought that if his chant the names, Allah would be diminishing the name potency and that the name will be offensive and cause some kind of negative influence. But actually it's the most positive thing that society can have is to hear the holy names. So all the people though on this lunar eclipse, the system is when we have a lunar or solar eclipse, you generally go to the Ganges and stay in the water. Because lunar eclipses are supposed to bring some kind of negative influence. The eclipses make people impure negativists. But if you're in the gantes, the ganches are so that it counteracts any negative points of the eclipse. So all the Hindus were activated ganches and they were with us there in the Ganges, there even chant one in their chant sa there was a loud sound coming from the Ganges of thousands and thousands of people chanting their holy names. And so the devotees, they thought this is why this is supposed to be inauspicious moving eclipse. But this is the most holy day. Everybody's singing the names of God. And even the Muslims and people who are not Hindu, they were joking. Look at these Hindus. They're all chanting some people somehow jokingly. Seriously, they're all chanting the names of God. So we should chant the name of God devotionally. But even if somebody chants the name of God non devotionally is better than not chanting at all. That's our theology. Because even chanting while joking, at least they're connected to the Lord in some way, shouldn't change lovingly, should change devotionally. But it's better that someone who doesn't even Think about God. Doesn't call his name, doesn't have any connection. Gives him a zero point. I think once Jesus said that, give me hot water, give me cold water. I can drink both. But if you give me lukewarm water, I spit it out. Meaning give me someone who's for it or give me someone who's against it. Both of them. At least they discuss with you about spiritual matters of their benefit. People who are disinterested. Like lukewarm. Just lukewarm water doesn't taste so good. They're not useful. He gets a negative, reconverted so many negative people. He converted so many positive people. So anyway, this was the situation. Everybody was chanting the Holy name and Lord Chaitanya appeared. So when he came into the world, it was filled with chanting the Holy name. This was an indication what his mission was going to be. What does a vision might have been? What's your name? Let's give the Ryan a big hand. Yes. He came to establish the Yuga Dharma, the method of self realization for the age. Which is chanting the names of the Lord. When he appeared, it said that there were angels, extraterrestrial divine entities who came down to the earth and took the form of the wives or priests and Brahmanas. They came and they gave gifts to the baby. Mother sat. You wonder where are all these beautiful Brahminees coming from? Remember that I know all my neighbors giving gifts of different things. And then the next day came the wife of our great Acharya, Sita Thakurani. And she came in a palanquin. She came and she gave a tiger jewel. She gave her lilian. She gave frankincense. She gave kousa grass, fusrat. All kinds of auspicious articles to the baby. Turmeric roots. Things which would make it very auspicious for the child. She was very happy to see the baby. Lord Chaitanya was golden. Baby was golden in color. He is the father of the grandfather, his grandfather, the father. The mother came and saw. Astrologically said that he has all the auspicious markings. All the auspicious symptoms of a great person. Like 36 different bodily features of a great person. And he had all of the 36. He predicted he's going to save the world. So he said, get the name Vishwam Bhar. Vishwa means universe. Para means to take the Lord off the universe. To sustain, support and save the universe. Universal savior. Actually this sister Kumar Ghosh wrote a book saying how Lord Chaitanya was the second coming of Christ. The Prabhupada didn't give it too much importance. Detachment. Then as Lord Chaitanya grew as a baby, one day he started crying. And they cried. And they stopped crying. Offering him candies. Called the doctor. Why is he always crying and tired of cuddling and rocking and all the things that normally were doing Nothing worked. The doctor said he looks healthy, no fever. Didn't know what to do. Then some of the ladies started singing to the chant. Hari, the little baby Lord. He started smiling. He stopped crying. He thought okay, he's very numb. They stop chanting more. And they started chanting again. So they had to keep chanting. Otherwise he'd start crying. This way. The house was filled with the chanting of Hare Krishna. Whenever he was awake, ladies would come from the neighboring houses and they would chant to keep the Lord smiling. Then after some months, actually after six months. Normally there's a ceremony called Anuprasam. You know that ceremony. The first grains you feed to the child should be sweet rice offered to the Lord. First gram of holy sacrament, sacramental meal. And normally the non Karna would be held earlier than that. After about a month and a half, two months. But somehow not finding myself together. Mount Karma is when the name, the spiritual name, the official name of the child is given. And well, there was a dispute. The man wanted to give the name Vishwam Bharam, savior of the universe. The women said he was born under a neem tree. And Neem is the holy tree that takes away all inauspicious. World Health Organization. When there was a Time magazine that said Neem tree something. I forget what it said, but it was on the front cover. The super tree is a gilkil. It's a pesticide. It's technologically so favorable that it's even meme could save the world. So this economy mine keeps away coast. So they asked Dilla Varchaka Bharti that we should arbitrate this. See that? Even in the time of Lord Chaitanya they had mediation and arbitration. Understand? Even at that time there was some different point of view between the men and the women. But this now let us still exists. So then he said, why not call him a nickname Nimai. So he'll be known as Nimai. That only has Hindu called Dakna. What you call a person like my official name was Gordon. But my nickname was J. So they always called me Jay. I got J at the time. One year, I think it was Vijay Raja said my guru from his birth had the name of Lord Chaitana. It's A Gorga, the wealth of the Lord. I never thought you were the one that said it from the explosion. My middle name was John Gordon John. Although we didn't intend it, they gave me some blessing. Cannot wait to find names of Krishna people name. But anyway so they said the official name. Like in India they give an official name which is just used for marriages and for very special occasions. And then most people have like a name that their parents just call like. So both names were used. It was amicably mediated. He was denied public usage and bishop bar for his official. Then they did this Anambrasan. Anuprasan is to take the first grant after the first grades. They do a little ceremony which is kind of a family ceremony which the child goes for books or money. But in this case Jagannath Mishra, he put all kinds of books to see whether they go for the Puranas, the Mangatam, the Forbedas, Saithyas. We put our pens. We go for pens as I describe. We go for the money for gold, silver, copper, small chains. Is he a big Thai money man or is he a small chain wallet? So it's a whole spread. He's just using the money and books, holy books. He wanted to hang out. So then Lord Chaitanya was crawling over the six months. He crawled straight towards the books and there he grabbed one book and started hugging him. And all the pangats thought oh he's going to be a Pankit. He likes the books. But the devotees wanted to see what book is he hugging. It was the Srimad Bhagavatam. Yes, he's my devotee. He's a devotee. His background? He's devotee. He loves the Bible. You ever heard of a baby Mine? I had so many ambar process Sometimes once I saw they would take the money and put it on the hood.
