2005 || Śrīmad Bhāgavatam Class #JayapatakaSwamiArchives

A 2005 Śrīmad Bhāgavatam class by Jaya Pataka Swami exploring distinctions between God (the Father) and the Son/devotee, the nature of Krishna and devotional service, and how divine mercy interacts with conditioned souls. The lecture interweaves scriptural episodes (Rukmini’s reception of Krishna, Narada’s warning, Lord Chaitanya’s vow), personal temple anecdotes, and reflections on karma (including tsunami narratives) to explain why devotees experience intensified ecstatic love and how chanting (japa) should be practiced. A concluding Q&A addresses whether to visualize past pastimes, cultivate separation, or simply hear the maha-mantra while chanting.
They may be qualitatively equal because they're both the same kind of entity, but they're not exactly the same. Father, Son first before the Son. This is very interesting because today in modern Christianity, many times they say that Jesus is God. I don't know, it's some kind of impersonalism. Jesus says, I am the Son. He says, I am like unto the Father. Son is like the Father. Who are you with Him? Any son or daughter is like their father or mother. So he's like his Father. But he never said I am the Father. But when you say he's God, God is the Father, Jesus is God, he's the Father. So it's some kind of reservoz, some speculation that's entered into their theology. And they use some words that I am the Word, since the Word is God. So I don't want that word. He's a spiritual master. And spiritual master represents the scriptures. The scriptures are not different from Krishna. But that doesn't mean he's the Father. It means these are personified teachings of the Father, Son. And so in. It's interesting here, proverbs are so clearly. It completely goes against this passage, against that the sons and the fathers are qualitatively equal, but the Father is never the Son, nor is the Son ever. The Father only gives. What's interesting also is that the Father is. It's not a big deal that we should be the Father, because we can only be what we are. But being God, I mean he is God, we can't imagine what it's like. He knows everything, so there's no surprises for Him. But being a devotee of the Lord, that also has its advantages. The Lord was explaining that we are the server God and He is the serve God. There are all different aspects of God, but ultimately everything is God in the sense that everything is an expansion or energy of the Lord. But he is the original personality of Lord. We are the servants of Him. So we are the servant parts of ourselves, part of the God attitude, part of the whole epsilon truth, part of the whole God reality. But our function is to serve the Lord. When we serve the Lord, we get fully happy if he's in a little good place with us and gives us a little bit of mercy. For us it's like a tsunami. Our Buddhism, Sri Lankana and Chennai and Tamil Nadu were feeling that people there by the help came from Europe and different places. And so a little wave in the ocean, when it gets to the shore comes a gigantic tunnel wave which sex up on the water from the shore. I was talking to some of the ladies who were feeling sad. They're still really traumatic. They're really freaked out because they can't sleep. They don't have a house anymore, but they sleep away from the beach. They're building some temporary houses on the beach. But they were afraid to sleep there because it was so traumatic. All of a sudden wake up and find yourself in a tunnel to change order. So do not feel secure anymore to be like nice devotional before it wasn't common for them. They used to take a while to get over the truth. But Krishna, he's a little bit pleased with us. For us it becomes like a new sway from ecstasy. And that way the Lord is in the Lord. It appeared a bit of more happiness than the Lord. This being with the Lord, it's pretty bit hard to make an impression on him. But he has plans. His nature is to be always pleased. It's only run running super great progression. He gets pleased with the other services of the devotees. But the devotees, when they serve the Lord, they actually get so happy. And this seeing the Dolores happiness makes the Lord happier. And he wants to serve the devotees. And then when the devotees are happy, you see the Lord's happy, they get happier. And when they get happier, the Lord gets happier. This keeps on increasing. But somehow in relation, Krishna sees that the devotees seem to be happier than he is. So he wanted to figure out why. It seems that the devotees what is the very experience. It's one of the devotees of when this was the Palestine mentioned in the Chaitanya Mongo, that when in the Varvar Guga fished away from Satyavava, went from Satyavava's palace to Rukmini's palace. Rukmini, when she found that Krishna was going to come to the palace, she got it all prepared, everything clean, Brought Kirtan Hari, brought Brahmanas and chant mantras, brought music. Benj decorated the door with sugar cane stalks and full water pots. In ancient Vedic culture, when you want to have a decoration to welcome some what makes the thing auspicious. You put full water pots and the full banana trees with the fruits hanging and sugarcane is darkness and whole grains, sprouts, sprouted greens. Things like that, sort of natural things. Things which are auspicious, natural. They might here in the west pretend for all these aluminum tinsels, which are all kinds of the decorations you make to show some kind of auspicious occasion like Christmas or. So it's all like classic aluminum and things you have a Party that does same kind of stuff. They probably smile, but they make tradition and put like leaves from mango tree ampatan and they also put the leaves from coconut. In South India they make coconut tree leaves flakes in them up. It's all natural. So Duka Manishi decorated her house with all these natural things. No tinsel, no Christmas lights. It was very beautiful and was very auspicious. When Krishna came, panchos, music, mantras. When someone very special comes like he did, he had a kid and two flowers. I was embarrassed. I don't know what to do. I could have reciprocated. I said, Krishna, he's perfectly able to reciprocate. He smiles everybody. He helps, touches the elder's feet and he hugs the. Embraces his equals and blesses his juniors. He smiles at everybody just appropriately. And he does everything perfect when he's received. We read the reception in the first canto Coming to Dwarka. It shows how Krishnas are experts who reciprocate with that. But let me thank you as a very humble representative of Srila Prabhupada for your wonderful reception. And apologize for being late. Right? Came and disappeared. So Krishna he was very happy by the home. It was like a formal reception at the gateway. First and came in quickly sent the kids forward. Seems in Vedic culture. Imagine the mike wouldn't conquer anything in public. Ancient times, even this was still because of her own court, her own palace. But first she just said the children he had. They came and hug their father, gave him garlands and things. Then she took him in the inner quarters and together her reception. Her personal, private reception. Her private reception used to be sorted for a witness. And she bathed the feet of fishman. She had the water and she bathed the feet. Scented water, rose water and different waters. And Kuspa. Then she took bishop mother's knee and held at her and over her heart. And she's looking at Krishna and she's so happy. At the same time she's crying. So Krishna is like kind of uneasy. Like you seem happy, but you're crying at the same time. While you're crying right now I find the time for tears. And then he said, what's wrong? Something wrong. And the kids were not listening to you this morning disobedient. The servant had an argument instead of expecting him by your crime on his arrival. And look what is he spoken. She said, you don't know. You know everything. You know, my brother has made such a local. You know what Shiva is doing in Thailand? You don't know what your devotee feels for you in our hearts. It is the one thing I know right around in Shiva. Wow. That was like. It was a big thing for Krishna. People don't tell him less about things. Sure. I mean, he was definitely a little fuster. He was pretty hard to fast at Krishna. So that's all for me. He's pretty special. No, tell me, tell me what's wrong. Why are you praying in Vrindavan? You capture everybody's heart and renown like that. You come here, you're capturing our heart. If you promise you will never be in my promise. But I cannot help but thinking of that call. Remember that although you're coming here now giving us your mercy. And soon your nature will leave us and evolve somewhere else. No, I don't leave you. I do a thing like that. She picked her up on his lap, wiped the tears off. Every day traditional, just a simple reception based on crying. That was like really special because in. Normally in room you just feel happiness. And I felt so happy to see. When I was the president and Manchu, we only had this little jugular. Venus and I used to be there at one point. I was the president, chief cook, et al. Jari and secretaries. Hansada took all the people. I went to Vancouver and I had four roads in the temple. The temple that was by the side of the park. Montreal, the holy galley, street floor. And so I would cook. We would get all kinds of bone donated by the wholesale fruits tournaments to have outside the city of a wholesale fruit place where all the fruit comes in by trucks from America, from all over Canada. Ships and things. We would go there and they would fill up. They would give us. Okay, take a. For food relief and for the gentle medium. Okay, take a. Take a box of apples, take a box of strawberries. There'll be hundreds of these merchants and ignore everybody. In a box, we fill up a whole little truck. They were very poor in those days. I don't know how they drink. But we didn't have congregation, we didn't have books. So we were. We didn't have so many. We didn't have many sources of income. So our main source of income was the Sunday feast. And we had all this boga. So I cooked the 26th preparation feasts Sunday morning. We'd have six chutneys, fruit chutneys. Because we had so many fruits buildings. I mean fruit chutney, fruit hub, five hands of hula, blueberry hub, apple hub like cherry hubble or whatever. Chutney and olives, pies. But some Cheese like in the end it was a huge. Was a huge feast. And it became very famous. All the college groups in Miguel, that's right next to Miguel and all kinds of Indian community became. We get 2, 300 people for a Sunday feast. They would often request a two dollar donation in those days long time ago. But that was 400, $500 you would get. Most of the program was donated with that it would maintain the rent. But when I prepared this offering, I ran into the shower, came back out because I was also equal to. Then I take this big train after some make the train up some of the other glories and walk down the lawn of the building alley, bowling alley to bring that offering to Jagannathal. And this is one of the most happiest moments in my life. It was like non stop 6 hour yike doing all that cooking. When I brought that offering. All these decorations of Jagannath still a place very happy memories. So big he's expanded very happy memories here. So like that. But when Krishna Rukmini met, she was really happy that she was so special. She's also feeling separation that I going to have to leave or he'll leave me and miss him again. So it's very. She's very special. Meanwhile, while this is happening, there are many clients and he's the Guru of Krishna. That's his role. So Krishna's like relief, you know, it's getting pretty intense here. Life's great. So oh Guru came out of this air and goes on and pitched his mind. But he plays like this place to die. What really goes on? Who knows. Who knows. But he came and Narada came and so Kishnat gave him. Guru had a special seat there. Brought him in a Guru's seat. Now they made his feet together. But he saw that Bhagavan was agitated. He said like what a day. You know, my guru is always peaceful. He's always dear up. And today the Guru is upset. My wife, I know this reception. She's crying like what a day. What kind of day is going on? It's not loyal to anything. But it's so yes. You always peaceful. You always control. Why you disturbed today? I never seen you disturbed. Never. You're a liberated soul. How could you disturb? And he said well, I'm going around the world and I see the symptoms of Kali Yuga coming. I see the people who are materialistic. They used to be simply attracted to you. Now they're becoming more attracted to sense gratification. And because of their attraction to the sense Gratification. I'm very right. And understand that you're about to leave. Just like when the sun is about to set. The same heat doesn't come on midday. Even though midday it's warm here. Super warm. Her guess there's one degree plus. Anyway, it gets warmer midday. But at the end of the day it gets cool again. In India they midday 40s. This is also midday 2527 at this season and the night time we were down to a very cold 17, 15, something like that. But in Delhi daytime was 5 midday and night was 1 degree 2 degrees. I cooled for Delhi when I was there for Delhi. So Naraya was using this example that the sun is setting. So therefore the light is still there but the influence is reduced. So you're still here but you're just about to go. That's why your influence is reducing. And it will be coming more materialistic when you fully leave unsworked. When you leave, they tell you it will begin what's going to happen? So I'm very worried. How are these people going to get delivered? How are the people incoming right to congratul mercy. Radha only is so compassionate. But although he is a liberated soul, he feels his compassion for the conditioned souls and how they can lead a victory. So that's why I'm concerned. That's why I'm disturbed. Because I see that you're about to leave. And I don't see the hope when the conditions fall. So tell me how they can get your mercy. So then Krishna, he said that today was a very special day for me. Today my wife is telling me that I don't know what my devotees feel for me. And my guru, he is very disturbed. And he is once on how the traditional souls, the Kali Yuga look at liberated and get the mercy. So I promise you I'll come back and tell you now. But not as a Lord. I'll come back as a devotee in order to and I will deliver the conditioned souls. I'll give them the Hari Mahasankir chan process to achieve bhakti. And as a devotee I will experience what it is that my devotees feel. During this moon of being a devotion the Lord everything's possible. You don't know. You think I don't know what it's like when devotee feels to me, I'll become a devotee experience. And when Lord Chaitanya experienced it. Amazing. Indescribable. Laughing in ecstasy, crying in ecstasy, rolling in the ground in eggstories. Madness and separation of Vishnu Mahabhava experiencing one on one. The Lord Chaitanya because he's more aware of his devotee. He has a more intimate relationship with the devotee. He can relate with the devotees very well. Devotee love, pure love. Krishna is different worship Krishna server and servant. Servant for itself. Interesting. So I was thinking like that father's living and so the Father can be a devotee. It's interesting. He becomes a devotee. He's no longer the father, He's a different devotee. Krishna Caitanya would sometimes click back in his Ishwara vow just for a few moments in some narration. Then in the confidence that he was alerted when he was in the body most of the time. Then you couldn't worship him. You wouldn't accept the worship as God. Worship as the Vaishnava, not worship as God. Now representing the second canto which is about discipline. The Lord's feet of the Lord. The first and second cantos are the speed. Third cantos like the knee, the fourth, fifth can toes or the forget exactly how it works out. Almost the waist and you have the 6th and 7th is the chest. 7th 8th of the head go up. 9th is the neck. 10th is the face. Something like that. Under that the 1112 again right below this feet. It's like no stretch in it. So now we understand the greatness of the Lord. How he is so great. He creates how he creates a universe. A universe. And how he only creates them. He activates them. The same thing creates this whole animation. Everything runs under the control of the different higher entities. Under laws of karma. Because I remember there are people really upset with the tsunami sites. Some people told me not about one person said where was God during the tsunami? It's all his fault. But there's no God, right? But just people. And they will do. They don't know. I think why does God let these things happen? Hundreds of thousands of people die. Of course he doesn't want it. He doesn't want people to eat and eat either. He doesn't want people to kill innocent other creatures. And unfortunately there's a lot of majority of people are medias. And this is creating a lot of innocent animals who are being killed horribly killed resistance. And as a result people also die. Big of karma comes back. Most of the people that were around us are going to love towards us. I think it's a horrible thing. We're trying to help you. We don't want to see people suffer. That's why we're working so hard to prevent it. You see things that are going to happen. There's going to be wars, there's going to be tsunamis, there's going to be earthquakes, there's going to be cyclones and hurricanes and all kinds of things. As long as we break the laws of nature and we create so many violent crimes against other living entities. And it's not. Krishna is watching. He's not like directly he intervenes and saves glories he doesn't directly accept. He sends in a lot of great things. He sets up the system and he lets. He has to prove it. Like he comes in like for approval but he doesn't direct his method. It all happens automatically so that he's reading out of something that's sometimes but that's like specifically if it's related like people stealing property from the temple or something like that. In Sri Lanka there's an interesting story that there was a fisherman boat, a Muslim fisherman. They were out in the sea when the tsunami hit. And the tsunami was right under the. They didn't even know it was in the ocean. 6 was it 8, 15 centimeters or something? Maybe 50 centimeters. It's not a big thing. But he's the short so he was obviously seeing them when it was hidden. His village was being destroyed in the north. But then he saw this picture. This lentic chilies have actually the most like the vision of an untestation. A big snake with a blue person lying down like a snake. And he was a Muslim. He didn't. He didn't know who this was. He just was surprised. How could somebody be lying on a snake and how are they in the middle of the ocean? So he freaked him out. All of a sudden they went back to his village. When he came back there was nothing there. Everything was completely destroyed by the tsunami. And then he told that somehow he was able to go and save his baby boy and this and that stuck on a tree or you know, some detailed thing. He just reached there in time to help people and afterwards he told him he saw this vision or he saw this person in the ocean all supply and sometimes I know that that sounds like a Hindu God, that's a temple down the gold, something like that. I went by one time, looked in the window and so they went and they saw that there was a savant deity flew kilometers down the way they put it in the newspaper because it was a Muslim that saw it without a Muslim and we couldn't divide. They needed more of these things. But there are all the major papers that came out of the loaded. So Krishna was there, nothing. But then Say to don't know exactly what it means. This kind of third hand story from the Krishna protects his devotees. Somebody surrenders to Krishna, he takes a personal care for that person. But if somebody's not very personally taking any kind of service attitude to the Lord, he doesn't necessarily take a personal care. Also the Lord gives a warning like this Tsunami has a warning. When it comes in it sucks all it stays out from the shore. I saw pictures of it without several kilometers of the shore, big white lake. It like sucks in all the water from the shore. And then it builds up, goes up, goes up. So what happens is it the beach goes back for kilometers dry. The tourist people didn't know this bonson exists for so many years that they would have really forgotten. Wow, look at far out. The beach is so big. They're running further out not knowing that they have a 10 minute warning. And 10 minutes a huge waves would come in. They should be running as fast as they can the other way. There was a little girl and her challenging class. She brought this that tsunamis suck out the water from the beach. So mommy, mommy, this is silent tsunami. And she got all the people from the beach and they ran away. And that beach, particular beach, too many people were saved. There was another old lady whose grandfather had told her that when the water goes far out it's going to come back big in a big wave. So she told her villagers, let's go. This is a big wave coming. Big wave coming. They all ran around their stump. He went out to a temple and took shelter up in the Buddhist temple in Thailand. And they were saved. So people had 10 minute warnings. A lot of people they just, they just ran out further out when they came in. Krishna gives us warnings different ways. Prabhupada said being gone is a very tough job. Like the thieves are praying. I'm starving. I don't know where to maintain my family. Please allow me to steal from this householder and feed my family, buy my drugs whenever they want. And the household is praying, please protect me from the thieves. I don't want to be robbed. So who does your service? Listen to him one way or another. So usually he gives some kind of warning to the household. Had these would come some warning instead. But if they're not careful and they don't take the warning seriously and the deepest of chance, just like mosquito praying, I have to have the blood to drink. There are people praying. Please don't let the mosquito by doing things. I don't want to get very sick. So the material first Goes right in here. So I'm here. Why they always go down here? So take, take care. Mosquitoes are here. So like that they did so many sensor. This is so if a tiger has a little motive. Guinea pig. Whenever the tiger is about to strike, this little rodent type animal, it's too small for the tiger to catch. It goes in some hole, in some. Just when the tiger is about to leap and they can leap in huge distances. This animal goes up cheek, cheek, cheek, cheek, cheek, cheek, cheek, cheek, cheek, cheek, makes some sound. Then that animal is only the tails. Tiger doesn't like that. But he can't do nothing about it. It's like that's a special warning given by Krishna to the deers. Otherwise the deers don't stand a chance. But if the deer is saying, is that really a tiger or a space? When you hear that sound, you go, you're safe. You hesitate one minute the tigers already and one second. So people need to know how Ka creates the universe, how Ka operates. Nobody want to put the blame on Krishna. Why there's a tsunami, why there's a hurricane, why there's a Kai. These things are being done by very kind of very mechanical, lots of nature which are being directed by personalities like Yamah. And you can ask Yamaraj, why me? Like there was a time when this one sage, he was arrested because some he was falsely accused of something. He was arrested, he was sentenced by the charge to be killed by firing squad of spears. And then the king found out and he sent a messenger to stop it. Because he knew the sage was innocent. The sage was tied to the post. All the soda Hamar gets fed and they're just about to fire their spears on you. Talk about tension, right? You're just on the firing spot, ready to go. Then the messengers come up order from the heathens, they have the Rishi. So the king said, why? You know what? He had so much power, he could go to Yamaraj and ask him, why did this happen to me? What did I do to deserve it? I didn't do nothing to anybody. I'm a vegetarian, I didn't hurt anybody. Why did I get this violent kind of danger this was? Then he said, when you were a four year old child, you took the grass straw and there was a little insect. You were poking the insect, insect was healing it for him. This straw was like a gigantic spear coming down and it was like going to punch his eyes out. And he was fearful like anything that you're putting him in so much danger. So as the reaction to that karma. You had to be put on the firing squad and kill that fear. I was a four year old, three year old. Come on. I didn't know anything. He said this is completely unreasonable. That as a little child I did something out of my stupidity and I had to take the full reaction. I curse you to become a Sudra. This is a stupid. You know, you're karmic wild stupid. It shouldn't be like that. Then he made a curse. He said I had two curses. One is that from now on all the parents up till the child is 5 years of age they have to take all their karma for whatever their children do. So parents beware. If the kids are poking little and insects are pulling heads off of mites or something, you're in big trouble. You don't see they don't do anything by so. But then that's how Yamaraj became Vidura. As he was cursed by these sage. So I think the people they really we can understand. They really need. If they could know their culture, they know a lot more how the law is a karma work and it would not be so resentful to Ka. We bring it upon ourselves. So anyway, thank you all very much for your patience. And today we're having initiation ceremonies right after this, after breakfast, interview the candidates and we can start. Did that group from did they find out about them? This would be a lot. Any questions anybody has? Yes, what's your name?
It's a question about chanting Japa. I've heard how many things? Either not think about anything, just try to listen. Hear the Mahamantra or when you're chanting, you have to meditate on then activities form the Krishna. And also when we're chanting, we should chant with separation. As if you're really a letter from a long lost lover or confused. Because I don't know which of these three I'm supposed to do were on for to know in what mood I guess or project magical property. Should I not think about anything and just listen? Should I be thinking about something?
Interesting question. Good question. Actually we have very famous. This question was asked Shiv grandpa. Maybe not so graphically but he asked what they should do. He said they should chant Here the main thing is to chant and hear the mantra. While hearing the mantra, we want that by getting pure time that we will naturally feel separation from Krishna. If we're thinking about our boyfriend and your own letter and we're trying to that one becomes like Samantha. We're trying to like we're trying to take A material devotion trying to feel that what we chant like Krishna, it becomes more like a drama. We want to feel that for Ka. We want that emotion for Ka to awaken in our heart. And if we do it artificially, then we will feel those emotions, but it will not be the spiritual fully satisfying emotion that we want. There are people in the event, especially specialized specialize in this kind of chanting with so much emotion. But it's not that something that actually spontaneously happens. It's something that they impose like that they try to think of something that normally would make them feel like that chant. Then it becomes a biography. That's what is called the Sahaja, making the whole thing cheap. We want to chant, we want to hear and we want to feel those emotions from Krishna naturally. But what he said about thinking about the past acts, that's something that happens naturally while we're chanting. Sometimes just the remembrance of the past, antidotes in the mind. That's okay. When I've understood is that it's alright if the time, if the past time actually comes in our mind. We're thinking of the past time while we're chanting. That's auspicious. There's nothing wrong. Let me try that Faint of the pastime while we're chanting. You don't listen to the chanting. The chanting is Krishna, the holy name is Krishna. So we went to meditate on Krishna. And while we're meditating on Krishna, then he reveals to us his Rupa, his Muna and his these things start to manifest in the mind. If it comes naturally while we're chanting and we start thinking of some pastime or Krishna without like having to really work at it as a separate kind of exercise or listening to the mantra number four, chapter 17, verse the two calm dispatchant. That's okay. That's what I understood.
While you were telling us this story about Krishna, his one time experience with his wife and Narada when he was there, it made me think what actually devotees feel. So now I am asking question, what about us who are hearing this and having desire to be the victim?
And.
In Lord Catanya pastimes in this when Lord Catania manifested himself devotees, he's the vortex in that form they worship, they meditate. And when he manifested to Namarcharya Harinasakura, he went out of consciousness and Lord Chaitanya. Get up, get up. I'm here, I'm here. So now the comment there was that when devotees are internal and experiencing internal, this intense feeling, they are not functional externally, they are not Aware what's happening. And one of Goswamis, when he was perceiving, watching what's happening in the spiritual world. And one sage was passing by and he was laughing and he thought he's laughing to himself. It means he was not aware. So what is for us?
Chance.
You said we should not meditate on it for our relationship in that time. You should hear. And if Krishna manifested in mind to.
Us.
It'S just in mine because we are sleeping.
I think she misunderstood that. I said, if you're chanting and Krishna manifests an alignment of you.
But we are still functional. We are sleeping externally.
No, I will.
Is this enough?
Only having him. We went in 1969 to the Sifarabad when he was arriving in Boston. And at that time the boardings were so much living separation to Siparabad. Because he went from here and we didn't know if he's coming back. He was ill. He was going to give ayurvedic treatment. He was having some heart problem. So we were like really praying. And that's when Namaste everything. And then so Prabhupada came back. The devotees came from the whole eastern United States. At the time we had a new temple in Boston and they came on from New York and they only had a few temples in the east. That was in Montreal and Toronto. So that time we all came and met in Boston. So in the airport there was about 150 devotees. And then when the devotees Prabhupada was under some kind of ventilation, so there was like a screen, one of those portable screens. You could see the feet and you could see it was just like 6ft high. So Prabhupada raised his beeping above the top of the street. So then when the boys saw, they just went like, wow, they're jumping up and down. And some. He took his hand and he hit another devotee on your head with his cartridge. And that we don't know how somebody maybe hit himself because we don't know. But somehow the devotee was cut. But they were like so much ecstatic. The Prabhupada was there. They're jumping up and down. One newspaper guy was photographing blood, pouring, drowning. He was smiling, he was bleeding so that he, you know, that was like, okay. These people are really that conscious of their bodies. Because he's pleading, you know, he's hurt and he's smiling. And seeing his expression, I need all papa. I don't know. He doesn't even know that he's bleeding till maybe got in his eye or something.
So it means the notis are expressing love for them.
That means that when you're in that ecstasy for that moment, you're not aware of what's going on in your body. But 90%, we're very much aware of what's going on in our body. 90%, 99.1 whatever. But sometimes when we are in that ecstasy, we're not even so much aware that time Krishna has to take over the external running of our bodies. If you happen to go into that extreme pain of Bhava ecstasy where that will override your material sense perception and more awareness, suddenly be aware of what's happening and found that you cut your leg or you did something and then you would have time and ecstasy. So this went with pain is just our body's like an instrument panel, like on the car. It tells you problem, problem, beep, beep, beep. You know, look at your leg, that's a problem. Some insect is biting you or something. That's how we are. What pain means is we're being informed. We're not the body, but we're dealing with inside pleasure thinking that this is the real experience. But the actual experience is a spiritual bliss and that bliss isn't dependent about it. When you're feeling that spiritual happiness, you're chanting Ayusha and feeling ecstasy. Your mind is a spectator. The mind is beyond the mind. It's beyond the senses, it's watching. It doesn't even know where is this happiness coming from. We can trace out if I have a good Sunday or if I eat okay, then maybe this is getting some happiness. I was feeling more happiness taking that plate of offering to Jaganna than later eating the prasad. Although it was also nice, but offering it with so much ecstasy to take that. After that Yajna we had all the devotees there and the temple cooking. That was a whole service. Taking it to Jagannath that was so ecstatic. Again had words to express how much happiness. I vote doing that some so called cooking yagya and offering to the heaven. So you get this happiness. So they're not dependent on the. They're completely out of these worlds.
So devotee is expressing love by insults or love for Guru by pleasing him. Trying to.
Yeah. It says that when we're in the natural world and we're still identifying with our bodies, we express our love for Ka through seva, through service. And when we're liberated and we get out into the Nitya Leela, that time we'll realize our eternal relationship with Ka and That time we'll express our love for Krishna through that relationship. As a cowboy friend, as a parent, as a lover, as a wife, as whatever our relations, as a servant relationship, whatever the relationship is, that's how we express it when we're in the leelas. That kind of don't necessarily. Mother Yasoda is not chanting Jakob, but she's chanting Krishna's name all the time. And she loves Krishna like a mother. And it's a natural thing. Does it make sense now you understand?
Yes.
But through that stable you can actually experience the spiritual taste, spiritual ecstasy.
And when devotee is greedy for service, greedy, it means that there is.
You get some devotees to say why. In fact, some devotees here, they get service so that all the time everybody is putting a lot of service. You got service up to. You got to up to your grasses, you have to finish your lunch, you have to do your all the service. But that's very good. We should be ready here to do service. We find some devotees, they're ready here to do service. When you find some devotees, they have a certain amount of egrements, maybe not so much sure in them. But then they wonder why I'm doing all the service. Nobody listens to me, nobody else, whatever. They get into some kind of resentment. And that's unfortunate because we shouldn't be so greeny to do the service that we don't let anybody else doing the service. We should try to facilitate others to do service too. But we should be more eager to do service. That's how we benefit those who are more eager, those who have more desire to serve, generally are the ones who move out faster in spiritual life. You made it. We're all worried. Everybody single. I have some oil from the chicken bay offering in my airport. Thank you for watching our videos. Be sure to subscribe to our channel.
