So he, at the same time, he's the most merciful to everyone. So he is the maker of the law. He's the maintainer of the country. He is the punisher of everyone. And he's also the most merciful for all the Jivas of all the universes in existence. So it is proper that we worship Lord Krishna because He is the most perfect of all rulers and implementers of justice and law. So as our Chief guest has said, actually we need as well as simply laws. We also need a faith in the Supreme Lord. And that combination is what makes the human being perfect. If we have Dharma without God, that also becomes meaningless. It is also atheism. And that type of law enforcement of law will ultimately not work. But if we have a combination of that law or the Dharma with faith in the Supreme Lord, then we will get a perfection of law itself. Why? Because we have behind us the Supreme Lord, the mercy of the Supreme Lord, the discipline and the justice of the Supreme Lord, and the wisdom of the Supreme Lord. So in that way, if we combine our belief in God with implementation of Dharma, then we will actually have peaceful existence on this earth. And of course, peaceful existence in the spiritual world when we get liberation from this material world. One of the young western devotees came and offered Lord Jagannath to Prabhupada as a gift. He said, who is this? Where have you gotten this? I said, I went to an Indian gift shop and I found this. So he said, what is the use of my being the king? What is the use of my being alive? The only one thing I want in life is to get association with Chaitanya Mah Prabhu. And I am the only one who cannot do it. So he thought maybe I should take my life. What is the use of Devikant? Some of the ministers and some of the very elevated people like Ramananda Rai came and told Chaitanya Mahaprabhu that this king is very good king. He is very pious king. He is a devotee. You should do something so that he doesn't lose heart. It's not good that he Becomes depressed because he cannot see you. I know you walk seen. But maybe there's something else you can do. So then Lord Chaitanya gave one chowder cloth to his son, to the Jubaraj, the prince and sent some prasada to give the king some hope. What happened though? On the day of the rot, there's a ceremony that's observed in Orissa where the king sweeps the road before Jagannath. Normally kings don't do that. They don't sweep the road. They help other people just like to do that. In fact, I was at Rath Yacher, Birmingham, England. And we asked the Mayor, Lord Mayor, his worship, Lord Mayor of Birmingham, to sweep the road. And he told that, well, in my municipality, I have other people to do this sweeping on the road. But out of respect for your culture and your tradition, I will do it. The Lord Mayor of Birmingham took the broom and swept the road before Lord Jahannah. Now you're all the kings. Because this is a democracy. So now there's no king in India. It's a republic. All the citizens are king. You, your representative, to rule the government, manage the government, whatever administrative. So we're going to ask all of you to sweep the road before Jagannath. But we have our VIPs here. Do it first. What happened was when Lord Chaitanya saw that his king Pratap Rudra Maharaj was sweeping the road, his heart changed. This king is not an ordinary king.
