Śrī Māyāpur, India
Mons Alva Tarvu (Italy)
ISKCON Mayapur (1st place in the world; 1st place in India, large temple category)
That we give every year to the gbc, to the devotees. So first we're going to give you. We have to go through this fairly quickly. 7:15, I have to end in half an hour so that we can give the awards maybe maximum 40 minutes. Our program today is we're going to give you the report, let you see what's happening around the world. And then we're going to give out the awards for the temples and for the individuals. At that time, we're going to hear some of the leaders in congregational preaching give their testimonies, their realizations. Today the number, the top award is being received by Mons Alva Tarvu from Italy. But he's not here on the stage yet. So we're going to go ahead with this and then there's going to be another drama. Then I'm going to come down, sit in there with you and I want to watch the last drama because I heard it's really good. At 8:30, 8:45. First we offer our basis to Srila Prabhupada. Prabhupada said that the cult of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, the Hare Ka movement, is very nicely explained by Lord Chaitanya Mah Prabhu. Authoritatively, everyone can congregationally chant the holy name of Ka, the Hare Ka Maha Mantra. One can also discuss the subject matter of Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam and install deities of Radhakrishna or Goranitai or both, and worship them very carefully in one's home. It is not that we have to open different centers all over the world. Chaitanya charita mangalila 3, 190. So prabhupada here is telling us we can have unlimited home centers. We don't need only temples. We need so many home centers where the Shastra is discussed, where Kirtan is performed. So these kind of instructions from Srila Prabhupada give the congregational ministry direction. The Prabhupada wanted us to side by side, have temples and have an active, dynamic, dedicated congregation. Our mission statement. Well, I wonder whether I should read all these things. This is the goal, a deeply caring attitude towards all the members. You got a mic there? I can't read from this angle. Is there a microphone down there? The organization of the congregation in small groups to maintain intimacy and to allow easier management and care. That according every devotee should be engaged in propagation, in sharing the message of Ka consciousness with others. I like to mic that's in supervision and support. We establish a culture of training. This is our publication report. We have some new publications. One is that we have a Spanish Bhakti Vriksha manual now a newly second edition. It was published in Bolivia. We have this congregational developed journal, some new editions. Youth of Iskcon you can get copies at the Pendo. So later we're going to ask Matsyavada to speak something to us and we want to give him one of the awards, our top award because of this kind of dynamic preaching. We'll get to that a little later. A few minutes about your vision for this Tuti Bhaktivedanta and we want to thank you with our heartfelt love and appreciation for the wonderful service you're doing to Srila Prabhupada. He wants to show a cd. Did he give it to you? Have anything? You have a C.
Without audio.
Say it. Without audio.
When I met RLA Prabhupada 1976 and I asked Srila Prabhupada, in what way can I serve you and what should I be doing in my career? And Srila Prabhupada replied, become a devotee Uero famous designer. At that time I was a very famous designer and I didn't know what to do to become a devotee.
Krishna legend of Bhagavad Gita Shtegala Yantra.
Srila Prabhupada very simple, he said chant Hare Krishna, read the Bhagavad Gita and explain to everybody. So in this way I practice this service in my home with all these simple principles, adopting them very every day. And in this way I was making devotees chanting Hare Krishna, studying Bhagavad Gitas and preaching to the friends quizps those principles in their own teachings. So in this way, slowly, slowly we cooperate with different types of universities and institutions and we enlarged broadcast the preaching of Christian consciousness in Almost actually over 100 institutions.
This is really something that actually we're in a very tight program here that we had to give all our awards out by 8:45. But actually I'm thinking I was going to show that maybe if we can get monsieur to give us a further explanation at our workshop tomorrow because his contribution is something truly dynamic and I really am very proud to be able to give this award. Bhakti Dinot Takarwa we didn't frame it because we don't want to give you overweight. Let's give another big aguar Haribo Haribo Haribo Reaching pioneers making history I want to call some devotees. Please come to come here or Come from the backside. Bhakta Janapriya Prabhu Adi Devi Mataji Jadavacharya Kadambakana Maharaj Awards.
Not the Congregational Management Awards. So where's Adi Devi? Too shy to come out. The next one. Oh, I'm calling the next one. Next one. We have His Grace by Kanta Pati Prabhu and her grace Loka Mati Lakshmi Devidasi Haribo. I saw them earlier.
Where are they?
Oh, it's a different Vikramantapati.
Alice is retiring from his job, coming out from the Middle east sometime in the future. You want to give that recognition. But he's not here now.
So I think the best thing to do is for Jaipur Thakkar Maharaj to receive all the awards on behalf of those personalities who are not manifesting on this stage. Otherwise we could be here for a couple of yugas and I don't think that's a good idea.
Wonderful formats for Sunday school programs, for Super Sunday programs which are now being sent all over the world. So we wanted to. We need devotees that dedicate their expertise in different areas to congregational development. So out of appreciation for someone who's given so much of her time making many different modules on Sunday programs, we've given this to Tapas Feeni Devidafi. He's taking receipt on behalf of her by Freeman and the Gordas. Have you noticed this? This is Kavichandra Swami Maharaj. She's going to help us give out the award. Who give the final board of thanks if there's enough time.
Okay, Next we have Herb Ray Shobha Mai Devi Dasi. The Janava Devi Award for organizing and steadily leading the Sunday School Congregational children at New York. Where it says New York, but I presume it's New York Temple. So do we have Shobhammai Devidasi.
Ram Bhadra Prabhu recommended her that she's been dedicated for about 20 years organizing for the whole New York area. Wonderful Sunday school program and also special outings. So out of regard for her long term dedicated service to the congregation, she's getting the Janavadeghi award. She's accepting it. We saw that beautiful temple that was constructed. Almost all of the money was raised by Prabha Mudas. He's not here but I hope we get someone on his behalf. But we're giving. These are worldwide awards. If there's somebody here from South Africa can receive it on his behalf. But we're going to be. Otherwise I'll personally try to deliver it. And as we know, Marj you know, Sarvamadhavi Devidasi, one of their dear friends, Mahabharah Das will receive. Please organize. Vishnu Chaitanya Das has organized Namhatas in Kuala Lumpur. A very dynamic program. They have over 66 namhatas. The five bhakti rickshaws. They did 580 damadar month special programs and house programs. Issa really worked hard dedicating himself in spite of his owning a full time job and his wife looks for all the people coming. So we wanted to give him this special award he got the Sita Thakur ran here Chariot Award.
The Srivastakar Award for training and supervising the Bhakti Brickshaw servant leaders in Croatia. That's wonderful. We actually have some live personalities from Croatia. Cameraman, these are actually the real people from Croatia.
Real people. Hare Krishna, you dedicated for many years developing the Croatia. I'm a friend of so many congregational devotees. Congratulations. Keep up for many more years of good service. Hare Krishna, wonderful team. Husband and wife.
Okay, next we Her Grace Shri Mati Mathya Devi Dadi. The Malini Shivas Award for their dedicated service in the congregational development by pioneering Namhat programs in Tennessee, usa. Do we have Nithal Gorasunder and Shrimasi Naivinasi or somebody representing them? Yes, we do. Adibal, you look very young to be doing all that preaching. You're following in the footsteps of Nimai.
Wonderful. They have, they've been doing. He's a professor in the university and he has a regular Namhatra program in his house. And he's made dozens of devotees and just kept steadily for decades with this program. And he's created an entire environment sponsoring a temple in Nashville, Tennessee. So over the many years he showed a complete dedication to Namah and Bhakti, this congregational preaching. So that's why we gave him a special award. Malini Shivas.
And now don't get too excited, please. Effort in establishing Bhakti Rickshaw and developing the congregation in New Delhi, India. Haribo.
He came back from the Middle east and went helping and establishing the Rehab Awards for New Delhi because of their great pioneer, very intensive work in the development of the congregation. But he was the person who brought the technical know how. And we want to thank him very much with his wife. Wife's not here, but he's here for teaching how to do the Bhakti rickshaw and how to do the program. We're also going to be calling other people from New Delhi. Congratulations, Hare Krishna.
And we are indeed calling someone else from New Delhi. That's His Grace Dinanayaktas of Vira Chandra Prabhu Award for his dedication in training the Bhakti Bhiksha servant leaders in New Delhi. His Grace Dinanayat Prabhu Haribo.
He's the head of the department. He's not here now. He's the one that's giving everyone shelter. Getting the Virchandra Award, Nithyananda's sake received by the Sankirtan leader. And as we have Adibo Jai. Thank you.
And again we have from New Delhi His Grace Rukmini Krishna Das. And Her Grace. Oh, sorry, we will have to take the Sankirtan leader again.
27 Bhakti. 27 and 12 is 39 Bhakti rickshaw groups in the Delhi area in just a short one year span. And they're also doing something like 25 student programs. It was really remarkable. All the things that he's doing.
Fantastic.
Two of them.
And now we have Her Grace Premananda Devinasi. The Sikha Thakarani Award for organizing the annual Chicago USA Summer camp for congregational children and youth. Her Grace Primananda Deidase. Surprise, surprise, she's not here. Radha Sundari will come again and fight on her behalf.
Yes, she's had a wonderful program in Chicago organizing Sunday summer camp for all the kids. And so the local TVC recommended that she deserves the award because she's saving the kids every summer by having special congregational training programs.
So next we have a bit of a tongue twister. It's his grades. Chaitanya Chandra Tern Das and her grades. Gori Chandrika Devidasi Takarani and Mitaego Shy Award for dedicated service to the congregational community development in FSU and cis. That's his grace, Chaitanya Chandra Charan Das and her grace Gordy Chandrika Devidas.
Chaitanya Chandracharan is well known by all the Russians. If Angir Muni is here, you can come and receive on his behalf. Chaitanya Chandrachan not here. But he dedicated himself. He was since the Soviet time. He also suffered the difficulties of the Soviet and how he travels all over.
Come up.
Give him a hat on the other side. Give him a hat. And he dedicated himself traveling around former Soviet Union and encouraging the congregational preaching. So we want to give him a special award, he and his wife for their congregational contributions.
He's taking his life into his hands.
To receive this award.
Of course he's probably not as risky as being under Bresna. We're normally only giving the cake when the person's here. But since there's so many Russians here, we're giving the cake anyway. You can all tell. Chetanya Chandra. Yes. A small city called Magyam Gram. 3, 400,000 people. And they have. Can you believe it? 77 Namhatas. One little town. And it's all under his organization. He has. So we're giving him special award.
Every house is a Namhata.
Yes. They're trying to make the whole city ka conscious. They have Harinams Vishnu para Guru Vas Kijay. Thank you. Wish you a lot of money. You don't give the audience to a partner.
Ministry office at Mayapur. And for maintaining the communication and publications of the ministry. So where is it? And Hema Gopher Mayapur. Hey. And they're here in Mayapur and they still haven't come out. That's a real person. And when she gets here, what do we do? Okay. You just saved my life.
Thank you.
Keep saving it until this program is over.
They're dedicated all the congregational preaching. It's called Congregational Development Journal. They've been publishing and editing under Conte docs. Doing a lot of the office work for many many years and other appreciates. We wanted to give them an award for their dedicated service for congregational development ministry. This is the wife of Guru Pada Vishnu Pada Guru Das. Okay, here they are together.
The 14. What do we say? What was that? So that was Krishna's arrangement. Because if Mataji had come out earlier, she wouldn't have got a chair. Now she got a big chair.
Pranama Poornima Vishnu Paraguru Das Hareem.
Thank you very much. And now the last personal award tonight is for his grace Sita Mohanda. The Vira Chandra Prabhu Award for his dedicated efforts in the field of congregational development in New Delhi. Sita Mohan Prabhu.
Are he going off taking chakra too?
So you have to come back Peru and take this award on behalf of the Sita Mohan, the Sankatan leader again from Delhi. So Maharashtra.
Sita Mohan, are you here?
He's out preaching to the congregation. Hey, hey. No, no, no. You have to come and accept the award. Hey. And what happens when he hands the.
That was totally inelagible or inedible.
Okay, so now we're on for the temple awards. We have ISKCON Washington D.C. uSA. It was fifth place in the small temple category. And it was 20th place overall in the world. Who do we have from Washington D.C. is it George Bush or.
We have Anuta Madaz.
We have an Utamadas. Where is an Utama Prabhu. We do not have an Utama group. Do we have anybody from Washington in the audience?
No.
Okay, who's going to come out from the wings and accept this on behalf of Washington, D.C. well, he's close enough. I think he's from.
Where are you from?
Colombia. That was very slow response. You know, I shouldn't have to tell you every time. If you don't say it quicker next time, you go straight home to bed.
Okay.
Place in the world. Do we have anybody from iskcon? Vishakar Patnam. Okay, and now next we have ISKCON Moscow. In Russia, who came first place in the CIS and 18th place in the world. Do we have anybody from ISKCON Moscow or even ISKCON Russia and Giramuni coming back again? How do you bal.
They probably got a higher. They probably would have deserved a higher place, but they probably didn't have time to send their scores now. So whatever we look at the full year score, this is with a partial year score, they still got their first place in the CIS, 18th place in.
The world with a partial score.
So thank you.
Okay, next we have in 5th place in the median temple category and 17th place in the world, we have ISKCON Calcutta, India. Surely we have somebody from ISKCON Calcutta. ISKCON Calcutta.
Ashwai program. This is strictly based on numbers of the 5th place medium temple in the world. 17th place in the world, Iskand Ka Kalavi. It's got how many Mahatirikshas? 25 and many other programs. Congratulations.

While they're distributing many books, he's also in the top one of the top positions in book distribution, building a temple. They have over 44, 45 bhakti riksha groups and they do program for janmas with over 200,000 people.
Okay, next we have second place in India, first place in the small temple category and fourth place in the world, ISKCON, Pune, India.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Kids.
Hey, Semester Is here sick. Okay. Be received by secretary of the temple. Mahabharah.
You only have two more to go, but these are the ones that you have to give the biggest cheer for. So we have in first place, Middle east congregation, first place in the Middle east, and second place in the world, iskcon Maturatesh in the Middle east.
The team, the temple Yatra leader Vijay Venugopal and his wife, Prema Patnini. They work very hard there. They have over about 120s, five architecture groups and mamatas.
Okay. And now and somehow or another, I've got this sneaking feeling that we will have somebody coming out for this award. Because first place in India, first place in the large temple category, and first place in the world, iskconshih Mayapur.
Is anybody here from Mayapur? They have 3,000 Sardva boutiques, 600,000 outdoor programs, and 500 Rama Hathas works. From my memory, many other things. Congregational preaching.
We're not going to go through them one by one and bring people out. We're just going to call them out. So I think I'll let you, Marish, call them out.
I'll hold them and you. ISKCON Namladesh. Third place in the Middle East. Fourth place in congregation. It'sKan Balarampdesh, Middle East. Fourth place in Middle East. Fifth place in congregation. Iskcon, Montreal, Canada. Iskcon Chicago. Fourth place in North America. Iskcon, Seattle, Washington, usa, Fifth place in the North America. Now we're going to Latin America. ISKCON Buenos Aires, 1st place in Latin America. ISKCON Mexico City, 2nd place in Latin America. Iskcon Guyana. 4th place in South America. Iskcon Lima, Peru. 5th place in Latin America. Auckland, New Zealand with.
Scott. Perth, Australia, fifth place in Australasia and Oceana, Perth. Anybody?
Perth.
Come and get it. Come and see us in the back in three minutes of life.
Don't want to ask me because you see, I don't get anymore. Obviously this is our most. Well, everything is most important preaching. But I can make 500 bucks. A picture means what, 5,000 at least people, right?
Yes.
And are maybe, maybe between 4 and 6,000. So we're talking about so many, many people becoming devotees and getting intimate association. It's much different than just coming to the temple on Sunday when there's a few thousand people and hearing a lecture and seeing the deities. When a small group meets in the home and they intimately discuss scripture. So it's a very, very wonderful thing. We invite anybody. In Indonesia, where I work, we have a huge congregation, but somehow I can't get them organized. So if any of you organizers would come and help out, we can win next year all the prizes. But it's very wonderful to see this and we have to thank Isolraj for pushing us on for many years and organizing and coming up up with all these different ideas. And we'll see that if it keeps going at this rate, how many in 10 years we're going to have, right? Millions.
Millions and millions.
Yeah. If they can get 25 in one year somewhere, then the next year should be more than 50, at least 50. So thank you very much and please keep it up. Keep making more and more and more. Everything's meant to expand all the time. Everyone is meant to be a leader, not make just one leader in each group. Make everybody a leader and everybody go out and make a new group. Okay, Hare Krishna. How do we say Hare Krishna?
Hare Krishna.
This side is what we're all Haribo right now.
See, when you put your hands out, become double loud.
I want to thank Kavichanga Maharaj Khadij's preaching. He's there and we really appreciate though that he takes the time to give his association for the congregational development. This is the conclusion of our awards ceremony tonight because although it was still difficult, maybe next year we want to thank all of you for your patience. We do want to try to give our appreciation to all the congregational preachers all over the world that are helping to expand this pioneer effort. It's very important that we should appreciate all those devotees that are working hard to develop our congregation, because that's where the future lies is bigger and bigger congregations all over the world. And we appreciate the book distributors who are distributing the books that have seeded the congregation. Appreciate Pragosh Tolu for his wonderful master of ceremony, Hare Krishna, and thank all of you for your patience. It's a bit spontaneous, but filled with love.
It was Raga Newgi Congregational Preaching. You'll notice, actually, that I didn't get an award.
