Foreign translation By His Divine grace, neither I nor the sages born before you know the fully omnipotent personality of Heaven. So what can others who are born after us know about Him? Even the first incarnation of the Lord, namely Sesha, has not been able to reach the limit of such knowledge, although he is describing the qualities of the Lord with ten hundred faces. The omnipotent personality of God has primarily three potential manifestations, namely internal, external and marginal potencies with unlimited expansions of these three energies. As such, the potential expansions can never be calculated by anyone because even the personality of God Himself as the incarnation of Sesha cannot estimate the potencies, although he has been describing them continuously with His 1000 faces. Thus ends the Bhaktivedanta Swoni translation of the second Canto 7, chapter 41st verse in the matter of the scheduled incarnations. So here Lord Brahman is explaining the glories about the different scheduled incarnations in this chapter. And he's the first living entity in the universe. So if anybody knows something about the supreme Lord, it must be Brahman. But he's saying he doesn't know everything about the Lord. He doesn't know everything about the Lord's potency. There's unlimited qualities of the Lord. Therefore it's not possible for anyone to know everything about the Lord. Even the great sages or the great many gods, they don't know everything. My brother Brahman knows a lot. He doesn't claim to know everything. He says that somebody's got pure devotion for the Lord and maybe then they can understand the Lord to some extent. That's in the next verse. In the previous verse explains how the Lord undertakes these steps and covers the whole universe in two steps and breaks the hole through the universe and lets the Ganges come in, which is purifying the three worlds. So this also amazed even the demigods, amazed everyone how he could do that. All the elevated living entities in this universe, they are only aware of what's going on in the universe. They don't know what's going beyond. And even they don't fully know everything that's going on with all the energies on the board. This is why some of the Vedas there are sages who are glorifying the maternal energy as Mother Durga, and some are glorifying Shiva and some are glorifying Vishnu. Because even the material energy is so amazing that it bewilders the great sages. It enamors them like Markinde Rishi who wanted to get the blessing, understand what was the illusion of Maya when he saw Narayanai and Rishi. And now this is in the Bhagavatam where they came to Naranai. Rishi smiled what I questioned. You see the incarnation of the supreme Lord. But you want to know how does the illusion work? A scientist, they want to see how this material nature is working. But what's more important is how is the person who's made the material nature. This is a big question that people have, of course, whether there is a God, whether somebody made a maternal nature. Would it be good if somebody did already? I think that must be done by Sivanga Goswami. In his silence on Bhairavas. His Prabhupada said if anybody reads their silence on Bhairavas, understands them that they had to become ka conscious. How to convince the scientific oriented people that there is a personality about him and that there is a supreme intelligence behind everything. Some scientists came to that conclusion on their own. Not many that are due to two hands of scientists. Some are atheistic and some are a little more theistic. Einstein just approached it from a purely scientific point of view after studying the material physical energy that everything is so urgent. There has to be some intelligence behind it couldn't all just be an accident. There are some other scientists that have the same belief. But there has to be some intelligence behind this Machal nature. Because it's so dynamically organized, so orderly things by chance come out in random. Here everything is final order. But even if somebody knows, all the atoms in the universe knows everything, can figure out the quantum theories and all, whatever there is to do, known about the material nature. That doesn't mean they can know KA's beyond its maternal nature. For him, the maternal nature can cover in one step. Even they won't know everything about the maternal nature. There will always be something more. Some higher level of the scientists are only studying the external Pancha Buddhas. We find the gross elements of the Rishis and the mystics, they're studying more the subtle elements. So the modern scientists, they haven't even got to the subtle elements yet. They're just touching the surface of the gross elements. And even a great Rishi like Mark. And then he wanted to know how does this illusion work so he could survive for days of Brahman. He got such a benediction from Lord Shiva that he could survive nine days of Brahman. There's his place in Makande Kunda and Jagannath Puri with a Shiva linga there. The parents are told by astrologer that if you have a child, they can only live for nine years. They said well still we want a child because it was very nice point. He was a very good devotee. He would worship to the head of Siva Lingay. His father was a priest. He'd do his worship. Then the 9th birthday is coming up and the parents are feeling very depressed because they know my own dying. So you saw everybody's like hanging their head down and depressed. What's happening? What's wrong with all of you? And then they told them what was the situation. They never told them before. So he went and he just embraced Shiva Linga. And then Rama Raj came and said it's your Titan. And he said I'm not letting go and says he's holding on to Shiva Lingali saying that the thing Amaraj couldn't take him. So that's so then finally Shiva appears to live. He's supposed to live for nine years. I give him a blessing. Live for nine days of Rama years to day. So he went. He also was amazed at how this motion nature is going. Prabhupada stressing the point here that there's different poem. Saints of the Lord are also practically he was sitting in his eye Shram one day and then all of a sudden the ashram filled up with water. The hole is in the Himalayas and the hole everything gets flooded and gets swept away in this flood water. Then he saw Krishna on a leaf of a banyan tree. Little baby form, sucking his toe. And Krishna breathed in and in his breath he sucked in Markander Rishi. Then he's sitting back in his ashram and everything is just like normal, dry. No more being smashed around in the ocean of Then Krishna breathes out back into the ocean again. So the illusion is created by Ka. It is virtual reality. But it's so real that when you're in it you think that this is the reality. The vasoft center is that Krishna is showing that I'm doing it. I can change it in a second. I can bring you back to one other situation. So ultimately Krishna is the magician that is making all this magic of material energies. Different potencies, even his potencies are unlimited. Weather spirit are inconceivable for us. What to speak of using our material mind which is made of material energy. How can we understand something beyond the material nature? Even we can understand the length and breadth of the material nature. Some of these Rishis, they have a better handle on things than a person we do. They have so much. I would say even for them it's an amazing. But for Krishna, the thing is everything is under his understanding. It's not like anything is independent of him. Simultaneously one and different lets him function automatically. But he's aware of everything that's going on. Ultimately they do whatever he says. So it's very interesting. Prophet said that when we discuss like on the day of the apparition, the avatar advent of any of the Avatars, it's good to discuss about all the Avatars. For some times he would discuss about different avatars on the advent of the a particular avatar. Since they're all not different with the manifestations of the Lord. Since we're preparing up to Mashaya Navit also, this is not the back chapter discussing with the Avatars. One of you discuss this chapter is an ambition tattooer. He's an incarnation of the world and he's always verifying the word a thousand mouths. He is not ever able to come to the end of the glories of the Lord. The Lord has unlimited glories. Nobody is able to come to the limit to know everything about the supreme world. You know everything about Rishi. One of the parameters was some Rishi who was very much devoted to Lord Brahma, forgive his name. And his desire was to see that to have Brahma consciousness, different vishits and different ideas. He was somehow like Brahma Bhakta and he was worshiping Brahma, meditating on Brahma. We're all very fortunate that we're being trained to be Ka conscious right from the very beginning. In India you do find the Sampradayas, there's all kinds of people. People worship all types of devas and Devis. That is they focus on one particular Deva or Devi. You don't find too many focused on Brahma. But Khut's card has a Brahman temple for us. We see all the devas as the devotees of the Lord and as different energies of the Lord. But like some people are just focused on a particular devil. They may believe there is absolute truth. Maybe their concept may be impersonal or not very developed. But they're just focused on that particular. So this particular Rishi, he was a Brahma devotee. So finally he satisfied Brahma. Utamakur Sri Rani Kashita worship Brahma and Brahma was satisfied to give him a blessing. This person wasn't asking for anything demoniac. His desire was that he could have see everything from the point of view of Lord Brahma even for a second. Because the Brahman himself is so amazing when he creates the Whole universe. He's aware of everything that goes on in all the planets. Just now with the newspapers, people want to know what's going on on our planet. World News Somalia. This one's being genocide and this other place, so many people got killed but we don't know anything going on. A little bit. CNN people watch sometimes for hours and hours. They need to see the different news stations and what's going on. They want to know what's going on this one little planet. Some of the destroyed news. And again what to speak as someone who knows what's going on. An ugly planet of the entire universe. He's aware just like we're aware of our body. He's aware of the whole universe. You know, if our neck is scratching our head, he knows everything going on. We don't even know what goes on in our body, but he does. Is it our body? Like if we eat food, we don't know exactly how it's being digested. We just know that it tasted good and it went there and there's either digestion or indigestion. So Brahmaya is earlier. There's so many people that you see in the sports section of the newspaper. There's so much attention, you know because somebody caught a ball, somebody kicked the ball or somebody hit a ball with their head or something or something. Somebody put a ball in a basket or kicked a ball in a net or whatever. Some kind of the other people, you know, wow, he's such a great guy. Then of course next week he doesn't do it. Then we're spitting on him. But glad that this isn't more the passion, right? Bhagavad Gita says the passion worship a human being. Great human beings more and more of passion boasts and ignorance the devas and more of witness. So that people were enamored by the devas. Definitely much more worthy of attention than these people in the newspaper that are getting so much attention. So finally Brahma appeared and said what blessing want to give you blessings? I want the blessing to see to have your consciousness for it. You don't have my body, how can you have my consciousness? I have a particular body which has this capacity to know all these things. Foreheads and subtle body. Since body lives for so long, so it's that. But this is my desire. Ramadhi. Well I can give you that blessing but I don't know what's going to happen. I don't know what's going to happen. If you have my consciousness, you have to take it at your own Risk whatever it may be, even for a moment, if I can have your consciousness, I just want to see things from the way you see them. So then have that blessing you'll have at such and such time, at such and such hour. Middle of the day, at 12 o', clock, meditating is waiting and time's coming. 10, 9. This is for like the lifestyle. 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. But he got Brahma consciousness by him was so heavy that it completely exploded his brain. And the whole brain and body went into it. Because how can a little human brain hold all the information that Brahman is like trying to put in a small piece of whatever just meltdown exploded. But because he died and at that moment in Brahma consciousness he went to Brahma Loka. He came associated with Brahma. He's resident on the same planet. We don't know what even Brahma is saying. I don't know Vishnu, what you people can know. I don't know him fully so much. I don't know. He knows a lot about him. He's the source of so much information. But he is also saying, I don't know everything. What about me? Sasha, with his expansion he got some money. So it's important that we understand this, that we can never know everything about Ka, but we can know something about it by Bhakti yoga. Those who are not doing Bhakti yoga, they know very little about it or they're not doing unalloyed Bhakti. They don't know something, but not so much or they may end by confusing. This year we went on Gambia safari again. Some years ago South Indian safari was different. I probably took over. Sometimes you go on and then you're surprised. So two years ago we went down through the ocean and the influence of the Ganges, where the Ganges were goes down to the lower planets where the ayram of Kapil Muni is the deity there. Kapil Muni. We don't know where the subtle original word of actual Kapil Muni is meditating is that he's another plane. Also there's a temple. That temple moved many times with the changing of shoreline, hurricanes and cyclones. It was very wonderful experience. Really unforgettable. Living on the Ganges and going down to the confluence just happened when we were at the we all went to the influence by bus. We parked the boats on other side of the Saga island and went the last 30 km by buses. The boatman said you can't take the boats to the very choppy water. The river and the ocean meet and it's dangerous to go there by boat. Better to be on this side of this 30 kilometer island. To be on this side. There's a parking when you go on the island to the other side of the island. Huge storm king. We were all in the island. No devotee, only two devotees were there in the kitchen group. Half the pots got blown off. One of the boats was blown up on the shore somehow. Otherwise the whole time it was very peaceful. Then only one day there was. We were in all the guest houses. So Krishna protected us. There's the ganges of survival. 30, 30 kilometers wide in the middle you don't see the shores. Sometimes you only see one shore, you don't see the other. So we are down that side. We've gone to the extreme and the south. So this year we thought let's go up to the north because it's really hot. It's a late warp 40 months. So we go up to Isshikesh harbor, up to Dala Prayag where Gyanche is officially is called the Ganges. Of course he starts in Wobok and Gandmotri. But that's closed until a particular time. I didn't want to take so many devotees about winding roads. We took a holiday. Prayag was 70 km on the same winding road up to Bhagirath. So then he took the devotees and we had a bath at Bhagirathi and Alakananda combined. And from that point she's known as Ghanda. It's a very, very beautiful place where everyone took their bath and the water rushing down. Cold water. But Sadhguru went in eight times and kept everything going. It's so cold. You can't stay in the it just feels so spiritually energized. Going again, again and again. Got addicted. There's some Yogi that's sitting in a cave. I got that confluence just 10ft from the. Just 10, 5, 6 meters from the confluence. Come here. Stay with me in the Ganesh Baba anyway, but we mainly want to do we go to this place. We also do some preaching. So we're doing Hari now and preaching. But in Harigar we met most everybody, very few. There was one Vaishnava, someone of a Vaishnava devotee of Hanuman and Raghavir Raghavendra. He took us around to the different ashrams. And when we went to the Ganga Ghat Adigipuri there we did a big kirtan to do Krishna conscious eyes. The whole thing. Whatever I said is Worshipping done well, nothing they do. They bring bells and kirtan. Then the secretary for the All India, Sadhu Samaj, like the head of all the sadhus of India, he happened to be there. He liked the devotees very much. He appreciated that we were chanting. We were following so many foreigners. 160 devotees from 40 countries, including some from Germany, Slovenia, Yugoslavia. I mean 40 countries. So many from the former CIS, from Europe, from South America, everywhere. We had two from one from Nigeria, one from Ghana, South Africa. We have other continents. And he gave me a book from his master. He's very old guy already very old sahib. But he had this book. So I opened it up, just opened it. And the page I opened and the person said, some people say we should only worship the impersonal truth. But this is not correct. The personal truth should be worshiped just like God and Bali have been so many other Mahajans and so many other great devotees. They worship chanting his holy names, worshipping his deity. This is very. This is how we get purified. The world is pretty good. I thought he was like, oh maybe O my worries, you know, he seems to be mentored. The question advises us we shouldn't hear even the nectar about Hadi from the non devotees. Then I read the next paragraph. He says by following all these bhakti systems you get purified. Then you can understand the supreme impersonal reality. This is why we can't read it. You know, they always put some little twist in it has to end up impressing them. This is the nicest guy there, all kindly and what to speak to others about. They all do byword cutters and you can understand what they're saying. At the end of every Bhagavad Palestine, they'll put some impersonal twist on it. So that's. We are so sad because so many foreigners go to Harike, Rishikesh and Harvard and what they're going to find, they'll find the Vaishnav there is like a needle in the haystack. Some people go there and learn yoga and everything. And the foreigners said when they saw all of our devotees from around the world, we did Hari nouns and the newspaper, everything. We went in the old gadgets and took our bath and boardings and all kinds of things. We picked up eight different devotees from new people from some from Spain, somebody from Brazil, Mexico. I forgot. All eight different. Different people joined us and were with us for two, three days. Just they saw. Oh, you're all so happy. You see the sadhus. Some of them are. Some of them are the least sincere following. They're silent. And some people are just, you know, like these hadoos to smoke and whatnot. I don't know what they do, but they don't look very satvik. Some are satisfying, but anyway, they're following different paths. We were sad that the people go there. They don't find out. They don't get much. There's nothing. Iskhan has a little branch, but so it's not so prominent. They don't have any foreigners to preach to. These foreign visitors that come to me, it's kind of like we attracted. Because there were so many foreign bodies. So they got immediately someone to talk to them in their language. One guy from Mexico, he joined us at the last day. He said, look, we're all going back to my airport now. Why don't you come with us? She said, okay, I wouldn't have to stay here anymore. She went with us to Mayapur. Now he's like chairman Japan. And his mother came to me. I was just coming from Mexico now for Rafiacho, Mexico City. His mother, his auntie, his grandmother, they all came to see. They said, we are the mother and mother of Jorge and George. We showed the picture. Thank you so much. You're giving our son such a nice spiritual orientation. But always your parents said thank you. You took care of him so nicely. So now we change her as a mother, we also change. So most of these amphinitas and they don't have even a little bit of idea about the sh. Little bit. You know, something that they have. But they speculate, they change. They know if you worship Vishnu, you're purified. Even the good ones. But then they think after everything is impersonal. And that's. Most people are impersonalists. That's the problem. That's an easy thing for them. So at least, of course we respect everybody. That's our. All the students. Not that we want to listen to them in great detail because that can also destroy their own understanding. They have their lives in the meantime. So what you want to know about Vishnu, about Krishna, you need to hear from Bonu, five disciples, succession. And then you have. Then you need to practice Bhakti Yoga. Krishna says in Bhagavad Gita, Bhaktama Vijana. Except for my devotee, nobody can know me. But still we don't expect to know everything about Krishna. That we can know a lot about Krishna. We should really appreciate how Ka is so great. I mean, I can understand like Brahma in this verse. He's speaking in a very ecstatic way. Neither I nor all the sages before you. Mara. He's speaking of Mara, right? None of them, they are able to know about Vishnu completely. Even Seisha with thousands of mouths, he doesn't find any additional words. So much appreciation Brahman has in such a great devotee. And all these different. So many people says nothing better to do. Best thing to do is glorify Ka. So this is what we also do. We glorify Ka. You know, people want to achieve other kinds of realization. They can achieve it faster by worship. At least this one particular Sadhu. He realized that if he used Bharati yoga to get impersonal, realizing what a waste you don't know about. Like I tell the story when I preach to these Saiko Samu people. That Ramchandra offered a blessing to Hanuman that you can merge. I'll give you anything in service tonight. What blessing you want? Oh, I don't want anything. Oh, I'll give you blessing. Conversion to my Jyoti. No, no, no. I don't want that. You are my master. They never hear these things. They never hear the bhakti point. Then finally Hanuman hez. He gets a blessing to my 1. I love you so much. Just like you're shooting a dear. Like my father. Like a father's for the son. I feel that kind of affection. If I can just hug you one time. Like a son, his father. So there's a picture. Sometimes it's a rare picture, but sometimes it's the Rama landing around that comes from that blessing. Some people, they just, you know, sometimes a little graphic example and they get an idea that there's something we should desire. Otherwise in India we preach there. And I was watching one drama, Mirabai. It was so nice, so devotional. Mirabai always drinking the poison that was fed to her. And Krishna came and ate it and protected him. All this very nice story about Mirabai. Then at the very end when Mirabai achieves Ka then they add something that's not in the story. The original story. They say now Mirabai merges with Kaj. They always put this merging, merging, merging thing. That's how old people, they get distorted. Because all they hear, they don't hear from the Ka. You can't blame Hindus if they have this orientation. That's the main 99% of all the preachers are doing that. I also had to spend so much time in India preaching because Prabhupada gave me that as a gurudatta desh. We had to preach the Vaishnavas. Preaching Maybe a little bit in South India. There's some pockets North India. Not much. Not much preaching. So then they get all the modern people. Tell them it's all mythology. Don't take it as real history. Why this is being spoken? It's not anatology. This is a history. Brahma spoke these words to Narada. What does Vyas? They have been writing legends or something. These are actually histories to give us insight into the greatness of Ka Brahma. He is saying that I am the first created living entity in the universe. There is so much I don't know about Vishnu. He only scratched the surface in Prabhupada. We don't even. We can't even know all his energies. What to speak. Krishna, Vishnu, even all his energies. His potencies are inconceivable. That's what he understands. Why we have to understand. This is then when you see how the Lord is. So I am in. He comes down to our level and he associates with us. He takes Prahlad at his lap, treats him like his own little son, protects him. He comes and he defends. Protects his devotee when they are in danger. He accepts the offerings of the devotees. Nasingadev in Mayapur says he came to the place called Narasimha Puri. And before the Devas when he was on the throne of Imani Kashipur he was unapproachable. Nobody could come to him. He was still angry. He was still angry. This guy has been abused. Losing my child. He's such a rascal guy. He was very angry. Nobody could approach him. Only Prah to finally go and offer beautiful prayers. And then gradually. Then the Maheshimi made cool down. It was a Leela he was showing. So when he went to Naval Deep which is Adori Adam. This is different. Dharms have different opulences. Jagannath Puri is called Aishwarya. Very opulence Krishna as Jagannath takes 56 offerings a day. Huge rath Yatras and thousands of Pujaris. And so many very opulent kind of worship. 26 different Baishas in Islam. I don't think they used all the 26 Vesh. I've never heard anyone. I heard few Hati Vaish, Padma Vaish. I don't know if we use any other. Maybe I heard in Ayurvedic they used the one with the Ramchandra. He had like 26 different masks that he put on top of Jahanna. And he had some different forms. So they didn't very well elaborate kind of worship for Jagannath that would be. Here we have Maharshenga temples, maybe one of our Jagannath temples. Sometimes I try and do all the 26 Veshas and all the Pujas. So Mayapur, all the deities are there. But this Saddam is known as Sadetsaja. Jagapur is Ashwarya Dam. But in Mayapur he has this in a more simple way. Vrinavana is known as Madhuryadam. That's the land, that's the bowl of sweetness. The sweet pastimes of Krishna, childhood Leela and Radhakrishna Leela are there. And Mayapur's Adarya, which is the Lord Chaitanya's pastime which is giving all the mercy freely to everyone. Even though not so qualified or not at all qualified to receive it. He gives the mercy freely. So the Lord takes the mood at whatever ground he goes to. And when he goes to Mayapur then he is in the mood of Darya giving out the mercy. So there he was very accessible. Now the devas came there and took form as villagers. And the wives of the devas were cooking sabjis and things were nashing the Dev and they were going and offering and he was eating, accepting their offerings. So he became very accessible. They could go and worship him. So that lace we go to him and I would pray. Usually the first day the west, the International Rupo. Second day, the Bengali Rupo. It's a gojo.
