20061224 || Initiation and Bhagavad Gītā Class || Chicago, USA #JayapatakaSwamiArchives

Multi-speaker recorded class (YouTube) discussing initiation, devotional service (Bhakti-yoga), and scriptural foundations. The speakers argue Bhakti is the culmination of all yogas and explain stages from karma through jnana and raja to Bhakti, cite Bhagavad-gita (chapter 6) and Srimad-Bhagavatam verses (e.g., definition of bhakti), and retell a story of a king whose chanting of chapter six leads to spiritual elevation. The recording mixes commentary, scripture paraphrase, and practical remarks about initiation and community.
I got one blind man said well, might be your uncle. And then someone else said well, he's.
Blind.
After doing something wrong he has to tell them that.
Also.
Some pray devotees in one of his workshop mastery. Because you have to be finding faults in other people. You have to find out how they can refine themselves and improve their devotional service. I prefer not to do that initiation only from long time.
Bangladesh.
Bangladesh and they saw the migrated here in Canada. They're part of the community here. So I'm happy that they're being very responsible and active. Last night I was at the Narmata meeting and saw the many nice devotees who are studying Chaitanya Mahabhara's teachings and father's teachings as a Namah and then friend of the whole family.
This is a quite unique thing that.
The whole family has taken initiation at one time. Father blessed and atoned so much mercy by writing the chicken so many different instructions. So I kind of do a little bit of everything. Obviously I'm only coming here. This is the first time secretary included in the itinerary said that we should be respectful this temple of Krishna by offering service to Krishna until you go to Christians pastimes and then you'll be serving your close to Krishna by serving in your relationship. Your name is the name of.
Sa it there it's.
So your name is the name of Lord Chitanya and his one of his dear most devotees. So your name means that you're the.
Servant of prayer repute. It said that your name is purely.
Virgin.
For living in Virginia.
One of Christian had one friend who.
Was especially very dear to me and when he was Brahma he was.
The name is it Sam.
Yesterday Wal.
Raising.
Sam Samakam Krishnam Foreign Kamiyah.
Lo Nam. It's Ram. Ram. Ram. Ram. Ram. Sam. It's Sam. It's Sam. It's Sam. It's it's it's it's it's it's yeah.
Sam.
Save Sa single savage.
It Sa.
And of all the yogis, the one with great faith who always abides in.
Me.
Thinks of me within himself.
And.
Renders transcendental loving service to me. He is the most intimately united with me in yoga and is the highest of all. That is my opinion. The word Baja te is significant here. Bajate has its root in the very Buddhist which is used when there is need of service. The English word worship cannot be.
Used.
In the sense of husband. Worship means to adore or to show respect and honor to the worthy one. But service with love and faith is especially meant for the Supreme Personality of Yangi. One can avoid worshiping a respectable man or a living God and may be called disperse, but one cannot avoid serving the Supreme Lord without being thoroughly condemned. Every living entity is part and parcel of the Supreme Personality upon him, and thus every interview tended to serve the Supreme Lord by His own conclusions. Failing to do this, he falls down the Bhagavatam 11 came to the fifth ver. A chapter fifth verse confirms this as follows. If anybody has difficulty understanding the English.
As the first translation.
Anyone who does not come to service and neglects his duty unto the Primeval Lord who is the Source of all living entities, will certainly fall down from his constitution Position in this word the Word in this verse the word Vajranti is used. Therefore Vajanti is applicable to the Supreme Lord only, whereas the word worship can be applied to demigods or to any other Kabbalah living entity. The word Ravajanamti used in this verse of Srimad Vaiavajan is also found in the Bhagavad Gita. Only the fools and rascals derive the Supreme Personality of Raja Lord Krishna. Such rules take it upon themselves to write commentaries in the Bhagavad Gita without an attitude of service to the Lord. Consequently they cannot properly distinguish between the word Vajanti and the word Worship. The culmination of all kinds of yoga practices, lights and Bhaji. All other yogas are but man means to come to the point of Bhakti and Bhakti Yoga. Yoga actually means Bhakti Yoga. All other yogas are convictions towards the destination of Bhakti Yoga. From the beginning of Karma Yoga to the end of Bhakti Yoga, it's a wallowing to self realization. Karma Yoga without fruits or results is the beginning of this path. When Karma Yoga increases in knowledge and renunciation, the stage is called Gyan. When Gyamadoma increases the meditation on the super soul by different physical processes and the mind is ongoing, it is called Ashtakna Yoga. And when one surpasses the Ashtanga Yoga and comes to the point of the Supreme Personality of Godhaka, it is called Bhatiyoga the culmination. Factually, Bhakti Yoga is the ultimate goal. But to analyze Bhakti Yoga manually, one has to understand these other yogas. The Yogi who is progressive is therefore on the true path of eternal good fortune. One who sticks to a particular point and does not make further grudges is called by that particular name Karma Yogi Yana Yogi or Jnana Yogi, Raja Yogi, Hatha Yogi, etc. If one is forced enough to come to the point of Bhakti Yoga, it is to be understood that he has surpassed all of the yoga. Therefore, to become Ka conscious is the highest stage in yoga. Just as when one speaks of Himalayas, we refer to the world's highest mountains, of which the highest peak, Mount Everest, is considered to be a culmination. It is by great fortune that one comes to Krishna consciousness in the path of Bhakti Yoga to become well situated according to the Vedic prayer direction. The ideal Yogi concentrates his attention on Fish, who is called Siamasundaram, who is as beautifully colored as a cloud, whose lotus like face is as effulgent as the sun, whose dress is brilliant with jewels and whose body is flower garlanded. Illuminating all science sights is his gorgeous luster, which is called the Brahma Jyoti. He incarnates in different forms such as Rama, nha, Varaha and Ka, the supreme personality of Bhagavad. And he descends like a human being as the son of Mother Yasoda. And he is known as Krishna Go in. He is the perfect child, husband, friend and master. He is full with all opulences and transcendental qualities. If one remains fully conscious of these features of the Lord is called the Highest Yogi. This stage of highest perfection Yoga can be attained only by Bhakti Yoga, as is confirmed in all Vedic literature. Only after those great souls who have implicit faith in both the work and the spiritual master are all the imports of aid knowledge automatically revealed.
Such as What?
Your mothership.
6.23 Bhakti means devotional service to the Lord, which is free from desire for material profit, eager in this life or the next. Devoid of such inclinations, one should fully absorb the mind of the supreme. That is the purpose of man's karma. Gopal 1:15 these are some of the means of performance of Bhakti or Ka consciousness, the highest perfection of states of the nova system. What an ecstatic purpose must have been a total ecstasy when he wrote that sixth chapter of Bhagavad is called gaming and it's about Krishna telling Arjuna to build meditation. But in the end Arjuna found a great difficulty and so he wanted to know what was the better system. Krishna tells this verse that the last verse of the chapter Death system is Vajra, the awesome service to Kashmir. The problem went to great literature explaining why Bhajan is only for the supreme Lord. It's not meant for anyone else. In the glorious of the sixth chapter, Bhagavad Gita in the Parpat Purana.
There.
It mentions that bishop said that there was a king. What was his name? Now this king, he was so pious. He would have daily darkness, daily sacrifices that even the smoke would go up to the heavenly planets. And the trees in the heavenly planets were colored by the smoke from this fire. And they were so pious. That came from his daily ideas that the demigods, you can see them visiting his palace. You can see the extraterrestrials from the higher planets of this dream. That's how pious he was. Now, the extraterrestrials are not like the good ones.
Anyway.
They don't visit us. They don't know if you nasty ones, celestial beings. They're not interested with us. Maybe lower planets. There were two demigods who flagged by it in the form of swans. And one was just very low, close.
To.
The palace of the king. The other one said, Lord, who shafraid was standing? The great king, the highest king. And the other one said that who is he Conferred to the great Rishi Raksha. So the king was near the curious. Who is this great sage Raicha? He sends out his charioteers. Find Maksha. I want to meet this great sage. So he went to various holy places trying to find him. He went to Lunar, where Lord Shiva has worshipped the one who by dying there gods gets elevated from birth and death. He went to Gayal, that is the Galamir temple. Give his blessings and one lesson. After tay birth again he went all over India to holy place looking for the great king, the great Rishi Raicha. Then he went to Mathura, which is in the shape of a half moon with the beautiful gayest river. Transcendental river, Jumunan flowing river. And there all the saintly people come from all over the universe to worship the supreme personality of Bhagavad. And people easily achieve Bhakti there. But even in Vrindava he couldn't claim this great sage Raisha. See as looking everywhere. Finally he went to Kashmir. And there was the great king was a devotee of Oishi. And he would worship Shiva so opulently that his palace was a falchion. And he had all kinds of mystical appearances There somewhere where they gate of his palace, under a cart, sitting in a corner like a beggar, was the great sage Raishna. When the charioteer of the king went to see him, he said, you I.
Like sir.
Said that. But you're such A great sage. What are you doing in this very humble place? He said, I am completely satisfied. So immediately he understood. He had achieved so much renunciation. He didn't care where he was anymore. He was totally satisfied wherever he was. It didn't make any difference anymore. So he went back and conformed everything to the king. And the king said, Take me to see this great sage Moishe. And there they went from their chariot. They went all the way to Kashmir to see the great sage. And the king that saw him, he put valuable silks of pearls and jewels offered to the sage as a humble offering. The right Shahuni got angry. Take this garbage away from me. Millions of dollars of valuable jewels and take this garbage away. What is this? Go ahead and do with this stuff, please. For I just want to know what is how you have achieved this great stage of renunciation. This total detachment, this total satisfaction. And in this world people are trying to be satisfied. But they fail to be satisfied no.
Matter what they do.
How is it you have achieved full satisfaction? And he revealed right now I tell.
You.
Every name and recite the sixth chapter Bhagavad Gita. And by reciting the sixth chapter Bhagavad Gita completely sat looking out. So every day he would give Sadhana his Bhaja or sixth chapter Bhagavad Gita. So he taught, he chanted before the king initiated the king six chapter chanting. So the king he began chanting himself every day. And then a spiritual airplane came down from the spiritual world and took the king back to God and direct.
And.
King writes on that the issueites he was chanting. And also he was taken back to the Lord where he could serve the Lord in the spiritual world. So this chapter six is the read of everyday recited. It surely gives the blessing that you can get pure devotional service from the Supreme Lord and become his pure devoting and servant eternally and pure devotional service. That's the greatness of six chapter Bhagavad Gita. Thank you very much and Lord Gita Western whenever you come in Toronto. You told us how this time. That's it. Stay tuned.
