HG Śacī Janani Mataji offers tribute at the 75th Vyāsa-pūjā celebration in Śrī Māyāpur. Devotees express gratitude for their Guru Maharaj's perseverance through health struggles and his compassion, sharing how his example has transformed their devotional practice.
My dear Guru Maharaj, please accept my respectful obeisances at your Lotus Suite. It's a very great fortune today for all of us that we are celebrating this so special 75th Vyas Puja. But of course, all of us are feeling great distress also because Guru Maharaj is not physically in Mayapur. I want to start by saying that I cannot every Vyas Puja. I just feel more and more enabled to thank Guru Maharaj for what he has done to me. Picked me up from this material conditioned life and put me in a position where I can perform some devotional service. It's been a great fortune for me to have worked very closely with Guru Maharaj even while we were in the Middle east doing services for Guru Maharaj so closely. And this has given me a chance, Guru Maharaj, to understand how so many disciples love you so much. And I always feel very, very bad that I don't have that kind of love for you. Even after I came to Mayapur, I was involved in the E care services and the services in the office and this all the time, the association of all our Godbrothers and God sisters. And it's always been amazing to see how all the disciples love Guru Maharaj so much. They are willing to give so much for Guru Maharaj. And I have learned so much from all my Godbrothers and God sisters. And I always feel envious because I see so much love that they have. Anyway, our Guru Maharaj, you are so expert that you can just take any piece of dirt from this material world and make it shine like a diamond. And even at this age with this condition of your health, you still go to the minute details, inspiring people. You know, like you did the Bhaktivedanta course, the Bhakti Vaibhava course, the, you know, being relentless, fighting and just going on preaching in spite of so many health issues and so many obstacles. Seeing all of this is so inspiring for all of us. And we see how you are teaching all of us how to just keep going and never, never give up under any circumstances and go on doing our work, facing the obstacles, but just going on whatever happens and always developing so many good qualities that will help us in our devotional service. Thank you Gurumaj for being such a wonderful example for all of us and always inspiring, caring. And in spite of all the things you have, I have seen how you are care for every single disciple of yours. When even a small message comes to you, you are willing to stop so many things and reply to that devotee. You just go beyond your limits to serve all the devotees and serve Srila Prabhupada. And I pray on this day that somewhere, somehow, I can develop this little bit of enthusiasm, compassion and all the good qualities that you have and always remain under your shelter and in your service.
