20241213 - The soul is spiritual having atomic consciousness part2

This is a transcript of a December 2024 YouTube spiritual discourse (Jaya Pataka Swami / Guru Maharaj) focused on Vedantic/Vaishnava doctrine about the soul’s coverings and karmic mechanism. Main points: distinction between gross and subtle bodies (gross body performs actions; subtle carries results), explanation why material karma is described as beginningless yet perishable, illustrative hypnotic-regression anecdote of an insect reborn as human, classification of souls (liberated vs conditioned; Nityamukta and Baddha Mukta explained), descriptions of the spiritual realm (Vaikuntha/Krishna-loka, rasas) with Srimad Bhagavatam citations, and closing community items (prasadam, prayers, extensive book-distribution donations list with 1:10 Gita:small-books ratio).
Yesterday.
So we'll be discussing about the gross covering. So yesterday we discussed about the subtle covering.
Swami Namini.
Sam the gross covering. The first covering of the living entity's spiritual body is the subtle body and the second covering is the gross body. The gross body performs various actions and the results of these actions are carried by the subtle body to the next life. The gross and subtle body bound soul cycles of actions and insignificant wave of knowledge does not want to cease. Wise individuals have concluded that actions are both beginningless and have and end. The actions that exist only in the material will will be destroyed with the liberation of the soul. According to all philosophical doctrines, however, many do not clearly understand how actions are beginningless. Material Time as a reflection of eternal time is a specific material substance suitable for method of karma. The living entities in Vaikuntha depend on spiritual time.
How the gross body is able to harm various activities or karmas.
So the gross body is able to perform various activities or karma.
And they both are.
And then birth after birth they continue.
Attached to this soul.
So the new gross body, the subtle body, they attach to the soul.
In hypnotism back to the religious world.
So that's why they can take people through hypnotism back to their previous birth.
Because the time, intelligence, soul body whose with the soul Soul.
Because the mind false ego, intelligence, the subtle body, it goes with the soul.
And huh. Very unusual. In his previous life he was a bug.
So one person was taken back. It was very unusual. In his previous life he was a bug.
Only bug can come a human being so quick.
But normally a bug. They don't come as a human being so quick.
And he said he was lying in Z and there's a statue zong building.
So he was flying. He was a bug. He was flying and there was a statue in a building.
Put before the.
Statue, there was a plate of food put before the statue.
So it was what he landed on the fruit plate.
So he landed on the fruit plate. Start eating the fruit.
The man came out.
And then the man came out and killed him. So next bird, he picked birth as a human being. He took birth as a human being. The statue must have been a deity. And the puja is oh, what are you doing?
Kill him.
Kill him. So he died eating prasadam. He died in front of the deity.
So our subtle body goes with us.
So our subtle body goes with us. But the gross body changes.
And this is a rare case. A person was a flying insect.
So in this case the person was a flying insect. So next birth he Took birth as a human being.
Is quite easy imagine.
So devotees would have been quite easy to imagine. The statue must have been a deity.
Plate in front of the deity.
So the plate in front of the deity must have been a offering plate. Hybro.
Why is Karma beginningless?
Why is Karma, excuse me, beginningless? In it there is no states of the past and future. Only the present exists. When the living entity becomes bound to matter, they enter material time and become subject to the threefold nature of time, past, present and future, thereby experiencing happiness and sorrow. Material time originates from spiritual time and due to eternality of spiritual time, the origin of material karmic actions which is turning away from God predates material time. Therefore. Therefore in an impartial analysis regarding material time, the origin of action is said to precede material time. Hence Karma is called beginningless. It can be clearly stated that Karma in relation to material time is beginningless. But since it's an and is observed within material time, it is not unreasonable to call Karma perishable within material time. Karma has no beginning, but it does have an end.
He describes how things like objective systematic.
Is describing everything in a very attractive systematic way.
High material activities Karmas are all beginningless.
He explains why material activities karmas are called beginningless.
See the beginning of the activities.
Because we don't see the beginning of the activities, we can only see their end.
This is all very interesting.
See, this is very interesting.
That's right. Material Karma is called beginningless.
In this way the material Karma is called beginningless.
Because material karma has spiritual karma.
Because the material karma comes from the spiritual time which is eternal. It's Nitya Vartaman Eternal, present, liberated and conditioned souls. From the said analysis it is concluded that the there are two types of souls, liberated and conditioned. Liberated souls are of two types based on their nature. Those inclined towards opulence and those inclined towards sweetness. Sweetness.
Praise a lot more attached to the opulence and headache.
So some people they are more attached to opulence than they appear. In Vaikuntha.
I connect with Krishna and Raja.
At someone is more connected with sweetness and they connect with Krishna and Braja Mathura or Dwaraka. Sweetest is Raja, the sweetest is Braja. The next is Mathura.
More opulent form of Krishna is.
More opulent form of Ka is Indwarika.
Are sweet.
All are more sweet than Vaikuntha. So the difference Krishna Loka is also Vaikuntha. But the difference is in Vaikunta Loka there is Lakshmi Narayana. Then Krishna Loka It's Krishna. Five types of conditioned souls. Conditioned souls are of five types Fully blows. Blossomed consciousness Purna Vikachita Chetana Blossomed consciousness Vikachita chetana Budded consciousness Mukkulita chetana Contracted consciousness Sankochita Chetana Covered consciousness Achadhita Chetana Let us conclude with the analysis of the liberated souls. There are two types of liberated souls. Eternally liberated Nityamukta and liberated from bondage. Those who have never been bound by matter and who eternally reside in Vaikuntha are eternally liberated. Their nature and activities are characterized by sincere and selfless service to Bhagavan. They are the eternal associates of Bhagavan's infinite pastimes. When Bhagavan descends to the material world through his inconceivable power many liberated souls accompany him but never become bound by matter. They return to the spiritual realm along with Bhagavan. These souls are eternally perfect and eternal companions of Bhagavan. They are also infinite. The souls liberated from bondage Baddha Mukta behave in every way like the eternal eternally perfect ones. Having been liberated from the bound state, they are aware of all aspects of material world. From time to time they come to the material world to mercifully convey Bhagavan's message to suitable living entities. They willingly roam in their perfected bodies and they return to the spiritual realm. Even then they never become bound again.
So here Bhagavad Bhakti Nantuckar is enshrining two types of liberated souls.
Sir Bhakti. Here Bhakti Natakar is describing two types of liberated souls and the Badamukta.
So Ra, I think he gave his tattva a bit simple.
I think Srila Prabhupada gave this tattva a bit simple. He.
He only talked about Nitya Mukta. Bhatta Mukta.
So he only talked about Nityamukta. Either you are Nitya Bhatta or Nityamukta.
What? Even the other Mukhtar don't get bound again and they are the same.
So even the Baddha Mukta they will not get bound again and they will act similar to Nithyamukta. Similar to Nithyamukta.
So they are.
So the character of the Nithyamuktas. They sincerely offer service to Bhagavan. Sincerely and selflessly offer service to Bhagavan. They are eternal servants. They are eternal associate of Bhagavan in his unlimited eternal pastimes.
Bhagavan descends on the spiritual eternal world to the material world.
So Bhagavan descends from the spiritual eternal.
World to the material world using his unlimited potencies.
Using his unlimited potencies.
He is accompanied by many associates he.
Is accompanied by many associates who are.
Never bound up by Maya again.
Who are never bound up by Maya again. But they come to associate with Bhagavan. It says here, they are.
Also infinite.
They are also infinite. Okay?
And they are liberated from the wrong state. Then we become same as India.
Muktas. So if we are in this material world, if we become liberated, then we become same as the Niti Muktas.
We know about real world, but we.
Know about the material world.
So sometime we may come down to preach.
So sometime we may come down to Preach. Shrimad Bhagavatam 1.6.31.32 since then, by the grace of Almighty Vishnu, I travel everywhere without restriction both in the transcendental world and in the three divisions of material world. This is because I am fixed in unbroken devotional service of the Lord. And thus I travel constantly singing the transcendental message and the glories of the Lord. Vibrating this instrument called Veena which is charged with transcendental sound and which was given to me by Lord Krishna. Narad Muni. Yes. Am I right?
I think so.
Okay.
Travel in the material world.
He can travel in the material world and in the spiritual sky.
Always chanting the glories of the Supreme Personality on it.
And he's always chanting the glories of the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
He read earlier he has blessing from Krishna to give devotional service to anyone.
As we read before Nrada, he has the blessings from Lord Krishna that he could give devotional service of Krishna to anyone.
Trying to say that devotional services.
So I'm trying to say all of you should advance so that you can give devotional service anyone you want to anyone you want. Please give me some. There is no. Give it to all. Men, women, anyone. There is no defect in the spiritual realm. The liberated souls have spiritual shelter, spiritual ego, spiritual consciousness, spiritual mind, spiritual senses and a spiritual body. They do not have a craving. They do not have a craving for anything else. Their intense desire is solely for the service of Bhagavan. Due to their proximity, they are always engaged in varieties of services according to their respective specific relationships. Those who have an inclination towards opulence attain up to servitude. Those who are inclined towards sweetness attain the services of friendship, parental affection and conjugal love. Each soul Accepting a nature according to their Bhava resides either a feminine or masculine node. They are unlike in the material body. There is no need of feminine function, procreation or bodilex creations. The nourishment of their loving nature is through the conception of spiritual elements in the form of Bhagavan's prasad. For the service of Bhagavan they are constantly in the mutual company of saka and sakhi. There is no sorrow, no fear, no death. There is no scarcity of any type. There is no lack of anything. The time present there is spiritual, that is that time has no past or future. Only the present time conducts all activities.
All the spiritual realm is laying here.
So the spiritual realm is explained here.
It has no shortage.
It has no defect. No shortage.
So how the artist friendship rasa with Krishna they are associated with other friends.
If devotee have a friendship rasa with Krishna, they associate with other friends. They have a parental rasa. They may have a male body or a female body. If they have a conjugal rasa, then they will have a female body. So everyone is engaged in service to Krishna.
And as well he goes to Mathura.
Like in Krishna in this world he goes to Mathura.
He stays away for a long time.
And he stays away for a long time. Because.
Some curse.
Because of some curse on Radharani.
It was spiritual. I heard that Krishna is in Mathura for about two weeks.
Anyway, I heard that in the spiritual world Krishna is in Mathura for two weeks. About two weeks and then he comes back. Okay, A quote From Srimad Bhagavatam 2.9.9 to 10. The personality of Godhead brings us very much. Satisfied with the penance of Lord Brahma was pleased to manifest his abode Vaikuntha, the supreme planet above all others. This transcendental abode of the Lord is adored by all sages, all self realized persons freed from all kinds of miseries and fear of illusory existence. In the personal abode of the Lord, the material modes of ignorance and passion do not prevail. Nor is there any of their influence in goodness. There is. There is no predominance of the influence of time. So what to speak of the illusory external energy. It cannot enter that region without discrimination. Both the demigods and the demons worship the Lord as devotees.
Everyone in this spiritual world, even if they are sown arms demons.
So everyone in the spiritual world, even if they assume the form of demons or demigods to perform different pastimes, all.
In a mode of.
They are all in the mood of devotees. There are no one but devotees in Vaikuntha.
Everybody here can be very sincere and selflessly serve the Lord.
To everybody here may be sincere and selflessly serve the Lord. If everyone is like that, this place would be like Vaikuntha.
In this maternal world there are goodness, passion and events.
In this material world there is goodness, there is passion and ignorance. In the spiritual world there is pure goodness. Pure goodness. Yeah. We'll have for sure. Guru Maharaj, there's a devotee from Chennai here. Jai Gopinath Prabhu.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Did you bring some prasad from Sudha Satva for information? Sudha Satva is a restaurant in ISKCON Chennai. So Shuddha Satva means there is no mix of ignorance and passion.
Because here in this material world.
Because even in this material world everything is mixed up. Passion, there's some goodness mixed with a certain amount of passion and ignorance.
Colors. Yellow, blue and red.
Like the colors in the computer, they are mixed with yellow, blue and red.
Millions of colors.
And they make millions of colors.
Only pure goodness.
But in the spiritual world there is only pure goodness. Guru Maharaj, today is the appearance day of our Patmanetra Prabhu from Namahatta. Oh yeah. Happy appearance day, Prabhu. Let's chant Hare Krishna for Padmanitra Prabhu in Bengali and all other languages. Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare.
Non sweet prasadam.
Anyone want some non sweet prasadam? Salty prasad. Guru Mahj, there are some devotees. Anything you ask, they'll raise their hands. So you can't take them seriously. We ask, is it hot outside? They'll say yes. The only thing they want is attention.
