The following is a morning class given by His Holiness Jaya Pataka Swami Maharaj on September 6, 2025 in Sridharmapur, India. The class begins with a reading from the Srimad Bhagavatam third canto, chapter 20, verse 9 through 11.

Tomorrow is Bhadra Purnima.

Purnima.

And that is the day we especially worship Bhagavad.

That is the day when we specially worship Srimad Bhagavatam.

If Bhagavatam is gifted or donated or given in charity, then one will, on that day one will go back home, back to Godhead. Amrashedin Dankochi. All those Bhagavatams that we have received as gifts or donations, we are going to give those in. We are going to sponsor or give those in charity tomorrow.

Now who are you? Agyatamatavat.

Who of you are Agyatamanavita?

Now.

Please raise your hands.

Now, those of you who have taken initiation in the Guru Parampara in the discipline succession, you all can be called as a Gyata Margavit. After listening to this, are there any of you who are Agnargavit?

Yes. Just like Prabhupada, we heard that there's a spiritual world.

Because just like from Prabhupada we heard that there is a spiritual world.

And we have also heard that from the earth and the prayer.

And we have also heard from the Gurus and the Parampara.

Those are not known. I mean those are not seen.

Those are not seen.

The Eishamasta, Vishayvastu Dhakahayana, Therefore it is known as Agnvit or that which is known. Although it is beyond our sense perception.

So we don't know. We don't see the stranger world. But we have heard that from our superior authorities in the Duravaram Ra.

So we don't know. We have not seen the spiritual world. But we have heard from the supreme authority, the Guru Parampara Amra.

In the Guru Brahm Brah, we get our spiritual knowledge.

So in the Guru Parampara we get our spiritual knowledge.

First person is Brahma. Narad, like that goes to Brahma.

First person is Brahma, then Narad and then goes on in the Guru Parampara.

Srila Vyasadeva. After compiling the Vedas, the Upanishads, the Puranas the Mahabharata he was feeling incomplete within himself. Sri krishna shamanda. He understood Srila Vyasadeva understood from his spiritual master Srila Narad Muni that one scripture was required to be compiled solely and completely on the topic of the supreme personality of Godhead Lord Sri Krishna.

We know that of 18 Puranas 6 are goodness, 6 in passion and 6 in ignorance.

Motive. So the purpose of writing in such a way is that the writer he has a particular motive within his mind.

Actually the Shrinrod Bhagavatam is the not different from Krishna.

So actually Srimad Bhagavatam is non different from Krishna.

Therefore, those who read this Srimad Bhagavatam, those who give this Srimad Bhagavatam in charity they are directly dealing with the personality of Godhead Sri Krishna.

There's a history of bhakti devi.

Bhakti devi ekti ithiha.

Bhakti devi was mind with two sons.

When bhakti devi was in vrindavan with.

Two sons, bhakti devi dhamma chillen tar duiputra sahid.

Her two sons yana and royal. Emaciated and weak.

But the two sons Gyan and Vairagya were emaciated and weak.

Pure devotion.

If there is no pure devotion then there is no Gyana and Vairagya.

He searched the entire all the places in India. But he could not find a single place where Bhakti was presiding.

He found Parti Devi with a Jew emaciated sons.

So then he found Bhakti Devi in Vrindavan with two emaciated sons. So narad muni asked bhakti devi what's the story?

She said, I was born in Kanna in.

She said that I appeared in Dwidadesh, Dravidadesh.

And I grew up.

And then I grew up in Karnataka.

I went to Maharashtra and I was Helena. I was.

I started there and then I went to Maharashtra and I was accepted there.

And then Kaliyuga started. And then I came here to sit down because became two out of sailing worlds.

Then I came to Vrindavan because Kalyuga started and because it was difficult to stay near. Because it was difficult to stay anywhere else.

Bhakti Devi inquired from Narad Muni now what should I do? How will my sons stay alive? What is my duty now?

Narad Muni said that seven days I'll read the Srirad Bhagavad and then you'll revive.

So Narad Muni said for next seven days I will recite Shrimad Bhagavatam and then your sons will revive.

Bhagavatam. Hila Krishna Swaroop Srimad Bhagavatam is the personality of Lord Sri Krishna.

Muni. He started to read Srimad Bhagavatam seven days.

So Narad Muni he started to read Srimad Bhagavatam for seven days. And Bhakti and her sons rejuvenated.

Is a very rare scripture.

So Bhagavatam is a very rare scripture.

It's not just a scripture.

It's not just a scripture.

That's Krishna himself.

It's Krishna himself. Reminds you of every sentence. Every shloka of Srimad Bhagavatam reminds you of Krishna Bhagavata.

In this it is mentioned glorification of the Srimad Bhagavatam. It is mentioned that all the demigods they come and offer their respectful obeisances to this Rmad Bhagavatam. Sri Chaitanya Mahprabhu mentioned that if one studies the Srimad Bhagavatam and the Bhagavad Gita, these two books then one will achieve perfection in life.

Bhagavad Gita is the veterinary study for Bhagavatam.

Bhagavad Gita is the preliminary study of Srimad Bhagavatam.

Tells you that. All the times, early holidays and sent the answer. A lot is done.

So Bhagavatam tells you about different avatars, about different devotees. 10th Canto tells about Krishna.

Now everyone should study the Srimad Bhagavatam and this is a must. This is a great necessity. If one studies the Srimad Bhagavatam up to the 12th canto then one is awarded the Bhaktivedanta degree.

Yes.

So I got the Bhaktivedanta degree.

They wanted to give me honorary degree.

They wanted to give me an honorary degree. But I refused it.

I studied.

I studied.

I took the test.

I took the tests.

Oh God.

And I got a plus.

I am now preparing studying for the Bhakti Sarvabhoma degree. Shima bhavatai, jamar shamasta shisho shisha shamaktara. Now I want that all of my disciples and all the devotees that they will study the Rmad Bhagavatam. They will study the Sri Chaitanya Charitamrita and the Bhagavad Gita.

Some people don't know how to read?

Some people, they don't know how to read. They can hear the Shastras.

Transcend. There is a transcend app by which you can hear the Srimad Bhagavatam and all the books if it is played.

We want Krishna. He comes to us by his form.

We want Krishna and he comes to us in various forms.

We can't see Krishna yet because they will not be pure enough.

We cannot see Krishna yet because we may not be pure enough.

As a deity Archa Vigraha.

So he comes to us as a deity Archa Vigraha.

That deity is non different from Krishna himself. Lord Krishna, out of his causeless mercy he has come in the form of the deity or the Archa Vigraha.

Asa Ashwe Ka. He doesn't take on material ingredients as his form.

Actually Krishna doesn't take these material ingredients in his form.

His form is made by his internal energy.

His form is made by his internal.

Energy Tar Je Roop.

So sometimes he makes that visual as all his Prakat Leela. Sometimes his invisible has called Alpha Hot Leela.

So sometimes he acts visible which is called his Prakatleela and sometimes he acts as invisible which is called his uppercut Leela.

Now there is another form of Krishna and that form is that he has come as the Srimad Bhagavatam. In the form of the Srimad Bhagavatam.

All the rational reciters I like to go right to the Ras Leela at the glories Hari Almana candles.

So the professional reciters they would like to go to the Rasa Leela. But the devotees they go through all the cantos. So this Srimad Bhagavatam is non different from Krishna. Every canto tells us different things about different avatars of Ka Pure devotees of Ka.

Bhagavatar Bhagavaner.

Radev.

Kopiladev, narasinghadev, lord varaha, lord kapila, lord narasimha. Many, many incarnations are depicted in the Srimad Bhagavatam and how Ka is the supremely powerful personality of Godhead.

That description is given in the ninth canto. A little letter written about lots going around Chandra.

In the ninth canto there's a little bit written about Lord Ramachandra and Lakshman.

Sri Ramchandra Evang Brata Lakhan Samanthe.

We are all hankering after Sam Rasa.

We are all hankering after Samrasa.

I Krishna as the Dan had all.

Are also Krishna is the fountainhead of all the incarnations.

Naturally we're all looking to Krishna for his special list.

So naturally we are all looking at Krishna for the spiritual bliss.

Radhastami Holo. Some days back the festival of Radhastami took place.

Krishna known as.

Krishna is known as madan mohan.

Mohan.

Radharani is madan mohan mohini and radharani.

Is madan mohan mohini radharani.

So in the Shrinvad Bhagavatam song of Kresh Tas Clandonenzo pastimes are mentioned.

So in Srimad Bhagavatam some of the Krishna's confidential pastimes are mentioned. And these are not anything material.

Perverted reflection. This material world is the perverted reflection of this spiritual world. Therefore the Rasa contained here is also the nature of inferior of inferior nature.

The Sringvad Bharavatam reveals something about the Rasas in the spiritual world.

So Srimad Bhagavatam reveals something about the Rasas in the spiritual world.

Someone studies Srimad Bhagavatam and gradually understand.

If somebody studies Srimad Bhagavatam they will gradually understand.

Now this is very very important that who you are listening from about the Srimad Bhagavatam or on the topic of Srimad Bhagavatam. Guru parampara dharai avasthita. That are you listening? Are you hearing the Srimad Bhagavatam from an Acharya who is in line with the disciplic succession the Guru Parampara or you are listening to a commercialist, materialist or a professional reciter?
