20260203 - Caitanya Śikṣāmṛta, Seventh Stream — Conjugal Bhakti-rasa_Part_4

In this devotional session, the teachers read from the Caitanya Śikṣāmṛta (Vashla Satchidananda) and discuss the nature of Madhurya rasa, especially the Parakiya (conjugal) aspect of devotional love. They explain that Krishna is the sole transcendental hero, making Parakiya rasa eternally pure for Him, while the same mood appears contemptible when applied to ordinary mortals. The talk cites scriptural sources such as the Ujjvala‑Nīlamaṇi, Bhāgavatam, and the writings of Bhakti Vinod Thakura to define terms like Upapathi, Parakiya Nayika, and the two categories of Parakiya women (unmarried Kanyaka and married Parodā). They describe how the Gopis’ love for Krishna, though appearing illicit in material terms, is the highest expression of love in Goloka, where such relationships are free from material contamination. The session also references Lord Chaitanya’s revelation of this ecstatic love through his guru Madhavendra Puri. Throughout, the speakers emphasize that true understanding of these rasas requires devotional experience and cannot be grasped by material reasoning alone. The latter part of the recording includes practical announcements: reminders about kirtan etiquette, timing, and the distribution of devotional books, thanking participants for their efforts.
Chapters
Hare Krishna. Dear devotees, today we will be reading from Sri Chaitanya Shikshamrita Vashla Satchidananda, the Bhakti Vinod Thakur on the subject matter of Madhuriya rasa quotation from 10.33.19 expanding himself as many times as there were cowhead women to associate with the Supreme Lord, though self satisfied, playfully enjoyed their company. In one aspect of Krishna Tattva lies atma Ramata self destruct. In the opposite aspect lies. Opposite aspect lies the pinnacle of Leela Ramata, manifested as parakia bhava when the hero and heroine, though entirely unrelated and externally distant, unite through attraction. Raag the astonishing rasa that arises, known as Parakia rasa, the more one is drawn toward Atmaramata, the more the rasa dries up, the more one is drawn to a Leela ramata, the more the rasa, the more Rasa blossoms in joy. Where Krishna alone is the hero, Parakya Rasa is never contemptible. When an ordinary living being assumes the role of a hero, then the distinctions of Dharma and Adharma arise and Parakiya Baba is completely contemptible. Even the mere conversation between a parama and a married woman is decided to be completely contemptible by poets. Sri Rupa Goswami states that the inferiority attributed to Upapathi Paramore in the scriptures of ordinary poetic ornamentation is spoken only in relation to mundane heroes, but applied in relation to the transcendental Krishna, who's directly the object of Rasa extraction and divine relish.
So it's learning how Krishna is the only hero.
So this is explaining how Krishna is the only hero.
He's a supreme person.
He is the supreme person.
He's the supreme enjoyer.
He's the supreme enjoyer.
So if he is in participating in.
This parasa, if he is participating in this parasa, it's transcendental. It's transcendental.
I'm not going to do it.
And it has nothing to do with the material world.
And so that people cannot easily understand.
It's something that people cannot easily understand. Prabhupada told one congregational member that I'm.
Not qualified on the congressional members. 106 Tell them about the loving of hers.
One congregation. Some congregation in Chennai. One congregational member. Oh, I thought, okay, okay, one. One congregational member requested him to teach them about Radha and Krishna.
So he said, you're not qualified.
So he said, he's not called. You are not qualified.
They said, oh, no, I qualified.
And then they say that, no, no, we are qualified.
Then he said I'm not qualified.
Then he said I'm not qualified.
So because people misunderstand unless they're practicing devotees, they won't understand.
Because people misunderstand unless they are practicing devotees, they don't understand.
I mean, what else can I stand and sell millions of arms?
I mean, who else can expand himself into million of forms and dance and dance with every gopi? So for Krishna. For Krishna this is very transcendental. The people, those who consider, consider this mundane. They're contemptible. All right. All right. The women of the city of Swakia lawfully wedded. One who accepts the maiden's hand in marriage is called a pati husband. Quotation from Ujwala Nilamani he is called the pati husband of a maiden who becomes the acceptor of her hand in marriage. When one becomes agitated by intense love Anuraga and transgresses the religious principles of marriage in order to attain a paramount here in surrendering everything to that love, such a person is described by learned scholars as an Upapadi Quotation from Ujjwala Neelamani. When one is impelled by passionate love, raga transgresses the religious codes of marriage in pursuit of a paramour heroine Parakiya and surrenders everything to that love, such a person is called Upapathi by learned scholars. In this very mood the supreme excellence of conjugal love Sringararasa is established. The inferiority sometimes attributed to this mood applied only to mundane lovers, not to Sri Krishna, the supreme personality of Godhead who descends to relish the essence of transcendental mallows. A woman who disregards both worldly and spiritual religious principles and violates the sanctity of marriage by surrendering herself to a man other than her husband is known as parakia Nayika. Parakia is of two types those who are unmarried girls and those who are married woman.
Krishna wants her intense love.
Krishna wants our intense love.
So if we person gives up her religious pencils social obligation to her husband.
So if a person gives up her social application and religious principle to a husband. Dedicates it to Krishna, that's transcendental. That's transcendental.
And so that's why the parasa something.
That Krishna enjoys, that's the paraki rasa something that Krishna enjoys it's like Krishna's. Actually Krishna is everyone's husband and other.
Sisters are there other husbands?
It's artificial that there are other husbands.
So that people had to be attached to their husband. But that more this kind of situation.
People are naturally attached to their husband. But their attachment to Krishna is more also.
All of us we want. Our inner think thought is that we want to serve Krishna.
So we also want all that in our inner heart. We should think that we want to serve Krishna.
All the tales of these other things are secondary. Our desire to serve Krishna, Guru and.
Krishna, all the material duties are secondary. Our desire to serve Guru and Krishna is Sukrim supreme.
We're also learning that seasonal high and the police footsteps.
So we are also learning the system of following the Gopi's footsteps that for.
Us we do everything. But really Krishna service is our supreme desire.
So for us we do everything very beautifully. But service of Krishna is our supreme. To serve Krishna is our supreme desire. What do you think? Okay. Can you go further?
Yeah, okay.
No, no, no. We can go on reading. The parakia mood of two is of two types involving unmarried girls Kanyaka and and married woman Paroda. The Brajagopis under the rule of Maharaj Nanda are renowned for this mood. Their hidden amorous desire Prachanna Kamata bring great pleasure to the King of Gokula. A woman who is united with her husband through the rite of marriage Panik Grahavidi who remains devoted to following his instruction and who does not deviate from the path of chastity Pati Vratya Dharma. She is known as Vakiya. The ladies of Braja are often in paramour relationship. Krishna's queens in Dwaraka are Swakiya. Whereas the ladies of Braja are often in the Parakiya mode, paramour lovers. From the conversations between Vijaya and Gopal Guru Goswami. This has been accepted up to this point with certain omissions here and there. The position of Krishna's consorts in the unmanifest pastimes where the Svakya or Parakya is now being expressed. The unmanifest Leela in Goloka is eternal. Just as there are daily eternal pastimes in this earthly braja Bauma vra so too are they present in Goloka. In the same manner, those who are seers in Goloka can see these leelas as it is because they are beyond Maya and thus possess vision that transcends the modes of nature. So Krishna is manifesting his leelas in Bhauma Vrindavan.
All leelas are eternally manifest in the spiritual world.
And those leelas are eternally manifest in the spiritual world.
So the Viners. What moment Asri Krishna When Rama stole all the cob voice. By him.
So Actually, when Brahma stole all the cowhead boys for him, it was a moment, but here and year went by.
That year Krishna manifested himself as all the hard boys.
And that year Krishna manifested himself as the cowhit boss.
Then in the Siddha was Ra that child marriage.
So in India it's Ram. What's the agreement?
Child marriage was rampant.
Okay.
Was the.
So in India. Actually, in India it was the custom. Child marriage was a custom result.
At that time all the hard boys and all the girls.
At that time all the cowherd boys married all the girls.
So as the hard boys were or Krishna.
Actually the cod boys were Krishna.
Actually Krishna was their husband.
So actually Krishna was their husband.
But officially the co boy was.
But officially the cow boys were their husband.
And what after one year came back with all boys returned to their.
After one year, when Brahma gave back, the Kahud boys returned. Brahma came back, the Kahud boys returned to their families.
When they drew out and over the house, the God boy that they were married to, actually they're married to Krishna. But the cod boy thought they're married to someone else.
So the cowhead boys, cowhead girls thought that actually they are married to someone else. And the cowhead boys thought that they were. What did the cowhead boys think of much?
They came back right to the rally.
Okay, so the cowhead boys thought when they came back they were married to actually someone else.
I don't know girls, how they're married to these a pretty good boy.
So the girls, they thought that they were married to this particular boy.
But I say they're married. Married to Krishna.
Actually they were married to Krishna.
All right. Apparently they are attached to Krishna.
Apparently they were more attached to Krishna than their husbands.
So like that, you know, there will be love, right?
So like this, the Gopis are being glorified throughout these discussions. Because of their unalloyed attachment to Lord Krishna.
You heard about all the other Rasas?
We heard about all the other Rasas.
And naturally the clans, the rams, servants. Are all Lord of God's Dharma.
So actually, naturally, the parents, the friends, the servants, they are all devoted to Krishna.
But here we see. It's a bit more intense.
But here we see in the Madhuri eras, it's a bit more intense. In Dwarka there is Vakya. They are married to Lord Krishna.
18 forms. And then the 16,108 palace.
He has 16,108 forms entering into 16,108 palaces.
And associate with wife in his palace.
And associate with his wife in each palace.
Krishna dances in a Rasa Leela.
Like that. Krishna dances in the Rasa Leela.
Millions of all these.
Even with millions of gopis or zillions of gopis, He can expand himself to that many forms.
I mean his cousin, all your hearts.
As I mean he's present in all of your hearts as super soul.
In your heart.
In your heart.
Not what you're thinking.
What are you thinking?
I don't know what you're thinking.
I don't know what you are thinking.
But he knows.
But he knows.
So we can't compare our love, our situation with his.
So we can't compare our love, our situations with him.
And just give us an idea what the Madhura Rasa is.
So this gives us the idea what the Madhuriya Rasa is.
Maybe, who knows? Or someone or the other Rasa.
So who knows? Some of you may be in the Madhuriya Rasa. Some of you may be in the other Rasas. Sure, the Parakiya Bhava of the Gopis is faultless. The eternal pastimes that manifest within the material realm are of the same nature as those in the spiritual world. However, due to the influence of the modes of illusion, the eyes and ears of the seers here are covered, and thus they perceive these pastimes with certain flaws and vision tinged by sense of illusion. The conception of Parakia Paramalov in that eternally exists in the Goloka may appear in the material world to resemble mundane relationships. In Krishna's pastimes there is no trace of inferiority or material contamination. But perception of inferiority and materiality is inevitable due to the senses that are composed of the modes of nature. This very truth was revealed by Krishna to the Gopas of this material world. Quotation from Srimad Bhagavatam Thus, deeply considering the situation, this all merciful supreme personality of Godhead Hari revealed to the Cowhat man his abode which is beyond the material darkness. Lord Krishna revealed the indestructible spiritual effulgence which is unlimited conscious and eternal. Sages see that spiritual existence in trance when their consciousness is free of the modes of material nature. There is no shame or fault whatsoever in the Parakyatva Paramomud of the Gopis because the criticisms heard regarding married women or the courtesans among ordinary worldly literary portrayals do not apply here. The women of Gokula, though being Krishna's eternal energies, relish Paraki Rasa in Goloka. And that rasa Is the Highest Sri Krishnachandra brought his Goloka consorts to Gokula in order to bring the Supreme Rasa into the world. What fault is there in that? He is not a mundane hero. This has happened solely for the welfare of the Jivas. Otherwise how would the Jivas become eligible to taste the highest Madura Rasa and attain the Supreme Rasa? To serve Krishna through Madura Rasa in the mood of the Gopis of a Gopi is the devotee's duty. One who tries to relish this Rasa by becoming Krishna he will certainly go to hell immediately. 1. Only deceitful, wicked and crooked minded people commit this offense.
We understood that someone was taking the position of Krishna.
We understood that someone who wants to take the position of Krishna he was.
Oh, he was dancing with married women.
So someone wanted to take the position of Krishna and he was dancing with married woman.
So Lord Grace Rajar challenge his divine.
Grisha Bhakti Vina Tako challenged him and.
Finally had him put in jail.
Finally having put in jail.
But he stuttered a lot like curses and things.
But he suffered a lot by curses and things.
But he kept determined to do the needful.
But he kept determined to do the.
Needful to stop, to sign the wicked, to signal.
To stop this kind of wicked deceitful expressions.
So like that there may be some people in the material world so like.
That there may be some people in this material world who want to take Krishna who wants to take the position of imitating Lord Krishna.
But it say that in the surge of the world.
But we see that in the spiritual world there is Krishna and his devotees.
Krishna creates different circumstances so that the love of his devotee is intensified.
So Krishna creates different circumstances so that the love of his devotees is intensified.
So we should appreciate that so we.
Should appreciate that.
Material illusions so we.
Shouldn'T compare it with the material illusion.
And Krishna wants to reciprocate love.
Krishna wants to reciprocate love.
And so this Madhuras Madhura Ras is most intense love.
So this Paraki Aras Madhura love, Madura Ras is the most intense love.
Lord Chaitanya, he revealed this secret.
So Lord Chaitanya, he revealed the secret.
He. The one.
Lord Chaitanya's Param Guru Madhavendrapuri he is the one who revealed this ecstatic love for Krishna.
When I saw someone listening, Lord Chinyama was listening and he saw the one, the Holy One, Brahmin, Loka's Brahmin.
So when Lord Chaitanya was visiting Vrindavan he saw a low caste Brahmin was.
Dancing and very ecstatic was dancing and.
Very ecstatic at the time. So then he thought that he must have some connection with Madhavendra Puri.
It turned out Madame Puri had visited his house.
And then when he inquired it turned out that Madhavendra Puri had visited his house. He took prasadam and gave him initiation. Haribo.
So like that Allah Chaitanya candid will to all us.
Like that Lord Caitanya came to reveal.
To all of us the continental knowledge about the Rasa Madhuriya Rasa.
The confidential knowledge about the Madhuriya Rasa.
Which is the most aboundville in the general world.
So some people might like the Swaki Rasa. But. But the Paraki Arasa is the most abominable in this material world. But in the spiritual world Paraki Arasa is the most elevated.
Very confidential to understand.
It's very confidential to understand.
My voice is giving up.

Sometimes I understood only 17 books.
Sometimes I only distribute 17 books.
Very appreciative that my others.
I'm very appreciative of. By your efforts I'm able to distribute more books.
