20260223 - Eighth Shower — Conclusion

Jayapataka Swami concludes Srila Sachidananda's Chaitanya Shikshaamrita, a text of philosophical inquiry rather than practice instructions. He applies a five-step method of analysis to four types of conditioned life, from godless to impersonal, and contrasts them with the inner-oriented life of spiritual practice, addressing questions about health, sexuality, and using the body for Krishna service.
Chapters
Foreign. That's it Hare Krishna Dear devote, today we'll be reading from Srila Sachidananda Bhakti Chaitanya Shiksha Amrita we are starting with new shower today the eighth shower entitled the conclusion so this is the last chapter of the book Chaitanya Shikshaamruta do not consider this small book of ours to be a book of Aswadhana Relish Consider it a book of Vichar deliberation if it were a book of Ashwadhan then the Leela description of Radhakrishna's Leela of the supremely excellent Madura Rasa would have been written here the Aswadhana of Leela is written in many books Moreover, all those truths being solely subjects of Asvadhan are difficult to write within this book Thus book is solely devoted to pure deliberation the astonishing fruits of deliberation on Vichar Granthas are described in R. Caitanya Charitamrita As I offer my obeisances unto the feet of all who here read this discourse kindly hear with attention the conclusion of all these statements if it were meant for enjoyment it would have contained descriptions of the sweetest divine place of Sri Radha and Krishna A sincere student should not neglect the discussion of such conclusions considering them controversial controversial for such discussion strengthen the mind Thus one's mind becomes attached to Sri Krishna Another verse from Chaitanya Charitamrata Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu advised Prakashananda Sarashati study Srimad Bhagavatam very scrutinizingly Then you will understand the actual meaning of Brahma Sutra 2.16 and 111.
Let's put as the low rise and all the. The long aspects of personal logic so
this books is for the deliberation of the different aspects of Krishna Bhakti
particularly going to the Leela Rahasa we can't.
It can't particularly go into the Leela
Rahasya and astrology gives us overview of the structure of writing of the Krishna
Bhakti it simply gives us the overview of the structure of Krishna Bhakti and
so that's something that's very useful so
that's something which is very useful and
we can see that Krishna Bhakti is
very elaborate and we can see that Krishna Bhakti is very elaborate Hare Krishna 4 types of conditioned life the panditas say that deliberation Vichara consists of five components Vishaya subject Samshaya Doubt Sangati connection Purva Paksha Opposing view and Siddhanta Conclusion what is the subject. What is Vishaya the subject of our deliberation? Such a question may arise, we reply the Jiva's life itself is the subject of this deliberation. What is the doubt, Samshaya? The answer to this question is what's life? What's its purpose? Our connection, Sangati is this. The Jiva's life is of two kinds Shuddha, Jivan, pure life but the Jeevana conditioned life. Should the Jeevana exist in the pure spiritual realm? Should the Chiddhama it's eternally pure and blissful. There's no scarcity, sorrow, fear, death there Bhatta Jeevan exists in this material world. Jada Jagat is of two type Bahirmukha attached to the external material tendency Turn away from the service of the Lord Antarmukha internal spiritual tendency Bahir Mukh Life does not aim toward the Chidham it has no facing toward it. Toward it. Antar Mukalai, though seen similar to Bayr Mukalai honors facing toward the Chidhama and seeks seeks it as the principal goal. Bahir Mukherbatta Chief Jiven is of four kind. Immoral, godless, conditioned life Naitika Nileshwara Bhattachivan Moral Godless life Naitika Seshwara Bhattachivan Moral, theistic, conditioned life Nirviche, Nirvi Shisha, Chinta, Vikrata Jivan Distorted life of impersonal, contaminate contemplation Immoral, godless conditioned life oh, there are four types and then. Niti, Shunya, Bhatta, Jivan Immortal Godless life is of two kinds. Subhuman life Naraytera Devan and human life Narajeevan the lives of animals, birds, etc. Are subhuman life. In such life, the faculty of intelligence is nearly extinct. Human life devoid of moral intellectual discernment is again divided into two types. The first is the extremely uncivilized condition of primitive man's wild natured life. In wild natured life, man acts according to his own desires like animals driven by fear and hope. He considers various dazzling inert objects like moon, sun, etc as different gods. In this state there is no ethics, no real God. The devotional tendency inherent the perfected state of the living entity is almost extinct. Yet it gives a faint indication of his essence. Just that. The second stage of human life is. Devoid of moral intellectual discernment is that one who, having acquired knowledge of matter and material energy, advances in various physical sciences and art through the application of logic and serve the pleasures of the Senses yet does not accept Niti or God. Their goal is not directed towards God or Niti. Would you like to comment? Okay. Naitika Nirishvara Baddha Jivan Moral godless condition life when the previously described life becomes infused with moral regardless it transformed into Nayatika Nireshvara Bhattajivan the second type of conditioned life Naytika Saveswara Bhatta Jivan Moral theistic conditioned life when belief in God is added to the previously described life it becomes Naitika Saveswara Bhattacheevan Moral theistic conditioned life. In this life, duties toward God remain subordinate to moral principles. And thus Bahir Mukatha attraction to the external material tendency is not eliminated. This is the third type of conditioned life. Nirvi Sesha Chinta Vikrata Jivan Distorted life of impersonal contemplation where extreme impersonal contemplation gains dominance in such a life and accepting life under its subordination one is removed from the hand of moral obligation and gradually belief in God is transformed into belief in undifferentiated non duality. There a Nirvi Sesha Chinta Vikrita Bahir Mukha Jivan External distorted life of impersonal contemplation is observed. This is the fourth type of Bahirmukha conditioned life. Sadhaka, would you like to.
This is all the first time is one just follows without any conception morality or God.
The first step without any conception of morality, a God or anything.
Second one there's morality.
Second one there is morality but no conception of God. But no conception of God.
There's a conception of God but. Well, there is are considered more important.
The third one is there is conception of God but morality is considered to be more important. And the fourth one is impersonal realization.
So I mean there's a different stages.
Hold on. So these are the different stages of material Bhatta Jivas
So what is the modern society in?
So what is the modern society in? Maybe the first one. Immoral Godless conditioned life. Immoral godless condition life. A moral theistic conditioned life.
Say oh, don't tell lie non steal.
So some people they say we should not tell a lie, we should not steal.
But they're atheists.
But they're atheists
so they believe in morality.
So they believe in morality regardless. But they're godless.
And where someone is immoral, heartless that's the first stage.
Someone who's moral, moral, immoral, godless that's the first stage.
So.
We are all in conditioned life in this material world,
we all Vaishnavas and Vaishnavis so we need to. Serve Krishna.
So we all are Vaishnavas and Vaishnavis. We all need to be very committed to serving Lord Krishna. State and gradually you'll attain the liberation or naturally you'll be in the liberated state.
So.
Okay, one more.
All right.
Okay. Sadhana Bhakta Jeevan the life of a Devotee in practice those who knowing the supreme Lord to be all in all of life, conduct their life journey by subordinating all signs are ethics, theism and thought or to devotion to God. Their lives, though externally bound, are Antarmukha. This Antarmukha is called the life of Sadhana Bhakti. The main goal of life is of is for the soul to be situated in spiritual rasa having eliminated unlimited material relationship and become established and it is kindled pure natural Svadharma that alone is the fruit of Antharmukha life. By hearing this Sangati exposition of hours, the souls who are conditioned by false impressions and situated in four types of Bahir Mukha conditioned lives previously mentioned can formulate a purva Paksha preliminary objection or opposing view. From their respective respective convictions. Sitting within their own compartments, the souls of each of such each such state will help the reasoning. With the help of reasoning, examine Vishaya subject Samshaya doubt and sangati connection of this exposition and thereby arrived arrive at individual Siddhanta's conclusions. These conclusions are presented to us in the form of purva pakshas. Now the point here is this. The living entity who formulates a purva facha from a particular level of life, his objection is already refuted by the living entity situated in the immediately higher level of life who has established his own conclusion. Simply by mentioning those conclusions, the conclusions of lower level of life become nullified. The level of life that is observed immediately below our own. The refutation of such conclusions of that level of life is our own task. We shall perform that very task in our book. These conclusions have been presented here and there. To make it simple, we shall now briefly re examine them.
So. These are these four divisions of material life.
So each of these four divisions of
material life, the utmost higher division dates on the second match. Nice. Higher.
Oh, they're higher than the one before. So it defeats the one before the one before, right? Immoral.
Better to be moral than immoral.
Oh, better to be moral than immoral.
And then Sorry. Better to live in God than not.
Better to believe in God than not.
But the highest jails in this dream is personal.
The highest material conditioning is impersonal.
Then if one wants to serve Krishna, he's already antarmukha.
So if one wants to serve Krishna then he's already antarmukha.
People. Say I believe in God.
People may say I believe in God
but they don't really serve him.
But they don't really serve him.
And maybe at best I try to handle this that so the best maybe
they would pray to him. Please give me this and that.
What? So all these to the indigenous are in the Bahrain work state.
So all these living conditions are in the Bahir Mukha stage.
Until I was in material body and they're trying to satisfy material body for
them they're entangled within the material body and they're trying to satisfy. They identify themselves with the material body and they try to satisfy their material senses.
So when one wants to ask the sir Krishna that's devotional service.
One wants to actually serve Krishna, that's devotional service. I think all this takes would be very long.
Yes,
I can't hear. Yeah, please give it to. She'll send it to Shiva. Prabhu Yesterday. In Grihasta life when the husband and wife sometimes misbehave with each other, do their sins count. Very much? What does that mean? No sense have sex. They have sex
with Kendra. Activities between Hazen and White that involves sex they consider as Brahmacharya.
In the fifth canto it's mentioned that the relationship between the husband and wife if there is sex, it's still considered as Brahmacharya.
At the same time, ideally one wants pure devotional service then they have regulated sex.
But then ideally if one performs regulatory devotional service then sorry, they perform pure devotional service then they'll have regulated sexual but it's not sinful. In any case
there was one man, he was visiting a prostitute There was
a man who was visiting a prostitute and he came before Srila Prabhupada.
You're married.
Prabhupada told him that you're mate. Why? Why you are going to prostitute.
That's sinful.
That's sinful.
And having a relationship with your wife and not sinful.
Having a relationship with your wife is not sinful.
But then he said oh, my wife is only for children procreation.
So then he said well my wife is only for procreation for children.
But I need more.
But I need more. That's why I go to prostitute
and the house with your wife.
Prabhupada said if you have sex with
your wife, that's not sinful.
That's not sinful.
But if you have sex with Rosa the
if you have sex with whom Government. With a prostitute, that's sinful. She's not here. Actually she has left already. Mataji, what kind of question is. You have to read? This is a Bengali question. Are you okay with it?
Visit.
Oh. Dikarmala rekhadi clickare chandingkore jabe balabi chitra devidashi.
I mean there are some situations in which maybe using a counting machine is
allowed. So there are some situation in which maybe using a counting machine is allowed.
But I don't think that one of them is that I fear lose my Java beats.
I don't think one of them would be I'm fear of losing my Japanese.
Be careful how lose our job of it.
You should be careful not to lose your japa beats.
And. Was saying about how he initiates a person not the beats.
Papa is saying that how he initiates a person not the beats, you can
also replace it with another one.
If you lose the beat, you can also replace it with another one.
My right hand is semi paralyzed.
My right hand is semi paralyzed.
So I use a counting machine.
So I use a counting machine.
I'm not able to use my right
hand because I'm not able to use my right hand.
Oh my goodness. Sounds like a legitimate reason.
So there this kind of. There are this kind of different reasons.
But her losing her jabba quite weak idea.
But fear of losing a japa bit, that's a weak idea. What kind of discussion is this? You're wasting Guruji's time. No, there's another question. Not this. There's another question. That's a personal question. That's a personal question. If you have a personal question, please write to me.
I get over a thousand mails a month.
I get over a thousand mails a month.
I'm very happy to answer personal questions.
I'm very happy to answer personal questions.
But here there's hundreds of devotees.
But here there are hundreds of devotees.
And we want to ask questions which are basically philosophical.
We want to ask questions which are basically philosophical.
Right.
Right. Thank you. Okay. It's a nice question here. So how do we practically apply our today life? We are not the body, we are the spirit soul. Living without bodily concepts of life. Question from your spiritual daughter Sangini Golokeshwari Devidasi. How to apply this idea of I am not this body, I am the spirit soul. On our practical. Practical. In a practical way.
We want to Serve Krishna, you know,
we want to serve Krishna.
We don't want to serve our body.
We don't want to serve the body.
We don't want to be called Dasa.
We don't want to be called Dhasa.
We want to read all sorts.
We want to become swami, the control of the senses.
So thinking about it, if you think
that you are the body and that's
the thing that's serving the body, serving the senses, all the life, then naturally
you think that serving the body, serving the senses is the goal of your life.
With the body.
But if you think that you are atma within the body, you are the atma. You are the atma.
I'm not going to use the body in Krishna service.
Then you want to use the body in Krishna's service.
Not that you use. Not that you are saying light.
Not that you stay in the body.
Serving the body.
Sorry. Not that you want to serve the body.
But just like I have a car, a wheel.
So just like if you have a car or a vehicle, you don't neglect it. You clean it, you oil it, you
put yours on it, you put gas in it. So like that, we don't think we're the body.
We don't think that we are the body.
But we don't mean we neglect the body.
That doesn't mean that we neglect the body.
Prabhupada said the first thing is health.
Prabhupada said the first thing is health. Then chanting on service, then service, and then reading.
So we don't have good health.
So if you don't have good health
and then we can't chant. We can't serve, we can't read, we
can't chant, we can't serve, we can't read.
So we don't neglect our body.
So we don't neglect our body.
Or we don't identify as our body.
But we don't identify that we are the body.
Just like you don't think I'm this car.
You don't think that I'm a car. I'm a Toyota or Mercedes, Hyundai.
So the car to take us place.
So we use the car to take. To take us somewhere.
So utilaries.
So we use the body to do different devotional service.
We have to eat.
So we have to eat.
We have to sleep.
We have to sleep.
How to do all the things we
have to do all the things that
to keep our body healthy.
That can keep the body healthy.
All right.
All right. Hare Krishna. Okay, I give you, I give all of you my blessings. Also, please do visit Guru Maharaj's physical book table and help him in his service to Srila Prabhupada and virtual book table as well. Hare Krishna.
