Dr. Jain (from Indore, Madhya Pradesh)
"His lifespan is billions of years. About 4 billion years long... 8 billion years is one of his days and nights."
Today and this is something that Krishna describes in the Bhagavad Gita that he comes whenever Yuga comes with every yoga, deliver his devotees in order to destroy and elevate the miscreants who are causing innocent people to suffer and prophesy that please his devotees. Because he has other, other ways of dealing with misrealists. He doesn't have the person to come to do that. So this is a very wonderful opportunity for us to remember how Krishna was one. He is supreme personality. God had. Part of his greatness is that he can come down and he can just mix with his devotees and have Ramayan exchanges in different ways. When he's a child, his parents can shower their parental love on him. Mother Yasoda would be cooking for him, would be massaging him with scented oils, would be bathing him, recycling the bath tonight, known as Abhishek at this baby. When Krishna was first born, then his parents gave him a birth bath. So this is the birth bath of the Abhishek. Both of these are considered to be antiseptic. Kang urine is also an Ayurvedic cure for about 87 different diseases. There's a doctor in Indore, Madhya Pradesh in India, he came to speak to us and we had a national meeting in Indore, in Ujjain, which is about an hour and a half In Indore, this Dr. Jain and he gave us a lecture on how medicine on different diseases which modern science doesn't have a cure for. He was able to cure them with Ayurvedic medicine and cow here he's got a website if you're interested in this kind of thing. It's called www.calurin.com which I never looked at it yet, but he told us he gave us so many case histories of patients with dropsy, with aids, with cancer. So he said, he claims that this is a wonder, wonderful wonder drug that the cows have four stomachs so it gets completely filtered through all the different natural biological stomachs and filters. So the cow is considered to be very important for spiritual life in human society. I know there's a lot of people in the horn dagons because of the mistreatment of cows. But at the same time, unfortunately that cows would sometimes treat it would like to in the future. Just like they have organic milk and organic vegetables, they also have ahimsa milk where the cows are actually allowed to live their normal term of life and they're protected to the end. And for that we don't mind paying a slightly premium, but we'd like to have that kind of non violent milk. We do have like in Mayapur we have cows. We don't ever sell them or get rid of them. We keep them at until they drop. Nice breath. And there are a few farms like that, but maybe like organic years ago nobody bothered. But not everybody wants organic products. But organic milk doesn't guarantee that the milk is also non violent. So maybe in the future we can put some pressure if it's profitable. I don't think farmers have any problem. They're just doing it for the money anyway. Two parts in organic big corporations. Not because they believe in organic medicine for the money. But it says that the cow milk is actually good to develop finer brain tissues to understand spiritual matters. So that's why it's an important aspect for the Bahinical society, for the spiritually oriented human society. And therefore the part of the ceremonies, the mouth products also take a prominent part. Also Krishna and his Leela. He appeared in Vrindavan when he was born as the son of what everybody knew. Of course we know that he was actually born of Vasudeva. And he was carried over on his birthday in the middle of the night to the village of Magnagram where he was put on the bed of the soda. And the soda had a baby girl and took her baby and brought it back. Brought her back to the prison house where Vasudei was kept. Because the elder brother of Deva Heath was a very demonic person and went on the wedding night he heard that the eighth son of devotee would be the cause of his death or kill him or whatever. Then he. Since that point he decided that he would kill the eighth child as soon as he was born. They showed well, you got a girl, the girl's not going to harm you. So but he took her by the feet and slung her around and tried to smash her head on the. He was such a base person. But she flew out from his hands and took the form of Durga in the sky. And he respected Durga so he offered his respects. She said what are you trying to do? The person who was going to kill you already is gone somewhere else. So like the letters, he made a plan to kill all the babies that were less than one year of age. And that way we can get rid of Krishna. So he sent assassins out to murder all the young babies. So that way they thought they'll be Krishna. That's where Puta. That's also something similar actually with Jesus I think. But this is. She was one of the top child killers. She Used to put poison on her breast and assume a very beautiful form and then go and offer her breast to the ladies when they suck the breast suck to poison and they die. So she thought like that she'll also kill Krishna. Went to the house of Yashoda. So what a beautiful day you have. Kuchi Kuchiku. And showed so much bodily affection. Can I feed him? And then she put Krishna's face on her breast and Havagita Krishna stuck to poison and died. But Krishna says in the Bhagavad, I reciprocate with the way that people approach me. So one hand she approached him as a loving mother, praising him and cuddling him. On the other hand, she wanted to kill him. So because she approached him as a mother after she died, he elevated her to the spiritual world where she could serve as the mother of Krishna. But because she wanted to kill Krishna, then Krishna reciprocated with that and killed her. Then he sucked the life air out from her body. And then she was realizing that her life air is leaving the body and she's trying to push off Krishna from her because poison can't kill Krishna. So then she couldn't pull him off. He was holding too tight. Then she died and she went to her atma. Her soul went to the spiritual world. So like that comes right from the very beginning, he was someone other sending different demons and different kinds of assassins to kill Krishna. And some of them had many mystical powers and could change their shapes and do all kinds of things. But somehow, one after another, Krishna and Balaram, they eliminated all these demons and protected their devotees for the most. Apart from Hindi film there's a few demons coming to kill them and then they kill them instead of Krishna. Balaram. But generally they were having a lot of wonderful pastimes. Very young age. They would go out in the fields with the cowgirl boys and they'd play different kinds of games. Sometimes wrestling, sometimes frog hop, sometimes different kinds of tag. Whatever kids tend to play, they'd all bring their lunch to hell with them. And then the parents of Krishna would share their lunch with Krishna. Of course, he's being the son of the King of Islam. He had everybody after the lunch, but he shared with everybody else. And like Krishna, they took turns in feeding Krishna and he was feeding his devotees. There's a lot of loving exchange as friends amongst the friends, the parents. When Krishna became older, when he became Kishore, then he also was dancing with the Gopis, with the young Kauhan girls. They actually started this dance when he was 7 years old. Just after the war downhill. And when Kishta took the gover downhill. When Maharashtra Brahma came and stole all the coward boys and all the calves to test Krishna. Is this really the supreme person I gathered or is this the village kid? Because the act was so good, even Brahma got the world. He couldn't have it. So then Krishna immediately manifested himself as the stolen couches boys and stolen cast Ramaleshwar. He came back in the minute of his time which was one year of our calculation. Because his time frame is much different. In Satya Loka or Brahmaloka where he normally lives at the edge of the universe. His lifespan is billions of years. About 4 billion years long. It's one day, one night, another four. 8 billion years is one of his days and nights. So for him it's the blink. The moment that goes by really fast. But our time, this one moment is our one year. So he came back and then he saw that the Calvin voice is still there. Nobody was sobi or he will you know. But I took all of them all here still he looked in this cave and he saw that the boys were still in the cave. He looked back and saw the boys are still here. So then he is one. Like what he said, when I look there, he puts him there. When I look here, they quickly shift him back here. Or is this a duplicate? How is it possible they're going to have a duplicate? He got so many wild because Brahma, although he's the creator of the universe, he's considered first angel in the universe. But he is also nothing compared to Krishna. Krishna's power, mystic power is unlimited. The comparison is that Krishna has unlimited mystic powers like the sun. And Brahma has an unlimited mystic power is like a fireflight. Here in King's parents you have lightning bugs or fireflies. Also in India, which is also tropical place. So in Tamil they call Nimi Nimi Puchis. And different languages they have different name. Bengali they say Jumpoga. Well, they glow at night. But in the daytime the growing wouldn't be very impressive compared to the sun. So ideas like that, when there's nothing else to compare with Brahma's mystic power looks pretty gay. But when you compare it with Krishna then he's overshadowed. So like this. Then Brahma realized that he's playing with the real Krishna. This is the original personality out here. And somehow he's pulling the will over his eye and made a duplicate all his works that he had stolen. So he fell down at Krishna's Lord's feet from Krishna's body. Many Brahmas and many Vishnu and many Lakshmis, goddesses of fortune. They were coming out. So this way Brahma. He begged for his forgiveness to Krishna. Begged Krishna for forgiveness, for his impudence to test him like that. So Krishna anyway is all just one day in his Leela. It's not a big deal, goes to actually marry Krishna because he was all become a boy. Although it appears that they married different coward boys, but actually it was Krishna. So there was the natural affection that the Gopis had also Krishna is the original husband, he's the original Purusha. So this way. And there's those pastimes of Ka dancing. But when he was seven years old and dancing. There's no question of lust in a seven year old. It's not a sexual dance. It was a dance of loving exchange. So much higher level like this. There are so many different pastimes of Ka. Until he speaks the Bhagavad Gita near the end of his life when he goes to visit the Arjuna at the Kuruksheta battlefield that time, the battle going between the battle, battling armies before the fight started. Then he spoke of Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna. Gita means song and Bhagavad means literally of God, the personality of Godhead. So Bhagavad Gita is the song of the personality of Gahead. So they were getting the teachings right from the Lord's lotus mouth for Krishna. He was saying that actually to be born as a human being. In fact we read this morning in the Schumann Bhagavad Companion that it's a very rare gift, the gift of Krishna, because as a human being we're able to understand why is there a purpose of spiritual life in the animal species. They also have sense gratification. But human beings can understand that just the gratification of the senses in itself is not really the purpose of life because anything we do with our senses gets us. That's not a devotional service, gets us entangled in karma. And if you have good karma that we can enjoy some happiness in the material world because you're all in Australia because there's some good karma, there's a lot worse places to be in the world. But at the same time, it's not that you have to be here in the material world to experience your karma. And whatever bad karmas we have, we have. We have cancer, we have so many diseases, we have aids, we have different problems, mental stress, legal problems. So good and bad karma, they are affecting everyone. Krishna is actually giving us another alternative that we can perform his devotional service. He'll be performing his devotional service. Then there's no karma. It's called a karma because any of the Krishna, when he just absorbs it, he directly blesses us. It's out of the material frame. There's a verse in the Bhagavad Gita that says that every time we offer our service to Ka in Bhakti Yoga that Ida is transcendental to the three modes of material nature. It's not in the mode of ignorance or passion or even goodness. It's in pure goodness. It's in the transcendental mode. And by offering that service to Krishna, then Krishna directly reciprocates with us and directly gives us his blessings. So it's on transcendental platform. So this kind of activity that Bhakti Yoga devis offer, they use their sense, just like today. I think Taruni and Jagadpati have prepared one. Buddha devotees have prepared a feast, you see. So this using your tongue by eating the feast, that is also a meditation. It's not a very difficult one. How many of you like to do that kind of meditation? We use our senses in Krishna server reading Prasadam, the one Sam becomes a serious Bhakti Yogi Ganl avoid eating anything but passage. I'll try to offer everything that he could. Krishna. When they're traveling, when it's not possible, then they have some kind of emergency mantra. You can say Sri Vishnu. Sri Vishnu, Sri Vishnu and eat it. I'm going to avoid nutrish and eggs and things that Krishna, doesn't accept. So like this in devotees, by their diet, by their chant, meditating on Krishna's name, chanting Hare Vishna, Hare Vishna, Hare Krishna Haram. So this way also meditating, enchanting and hearing. Just like even here in this community, we don't have a temple yet. But of course we have a small Hindu house, temple of Jaganpat King Jaronich. So we're able to come here and see their deities. But we don't have like a central temple here. But still, everyone can practice in your own house. You can have some giris or come to the different Riyasa Tahos and come participate. But anywhere you go, whether in your car, whether walking, whether sitting on the beach, whether in the forest, whether in your closet, wherever you like to, or just out, you can chant Re Krishna Ray Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Hare Rama Hare. We're talking a little bit about Brahma actually after Brahma stole Ka's calves and cows he was feeling really guilty that why did I do that? Why did I act so impudently with Krishna? And he decided that he wanted to get forgiven really he wanted to get some special blessing that he wouldn't do this again I want to get lolaka I don't want to remain in this kind of situation Then Brahma was. There is no living entity in the universe Like I was just in Trivandrum for an Ayurvedic health cure and there they have the deity of Padmanabha I don't know if you've ever seen the Padman Anybody seen Padmanabha deity in Perela? Anybody else? So this deity there's about eight different deities in India which are considered to be like very special deities who are manifesting themselves and having some eternal Leela Like Krishna in Vrindavan is eternally in childhood pastime Krishna and Babir are not he's always meditating since Krishna in Jagannath Puri he's always eating 56 times a day Krishna in Mayanpur he's always as a devotee so this Bhagavanada he's lying down on the Ananta Sesha is the form of Garba Daksha y Vishnu the Vishnu enters into the empty universe and from his navel comes a spiritual special kind of subtle lotus flower and from that lotus flower Brahma is born Lakshmi is a calm sword is massaging his feet by his side she's not needed to give birth to the sun his mother, father, everything he he is an expansion of Krishna so there you can see the Nili and he's got from his navel this Brahma coming and his oldest Brahma so like that Brahma is also son of Vishnu Vishnu is his father so that meaning kind of shows that Viva the Brahma he decided that I'm going to go to Nadavidam Lord Chaitanya's when we are here in Italy Yuga 5,000 years later after Krishna leaves so maybe I can get his blessings and I can give love for God here But he's always eternally residing in Avadi GDA here in the middle there says Lord Gauranga he's eternally residing in Avadiikda so then Lord Chaitanya then rather Brahma he was worshipping Lord Chaitanya so he started to chant the name of Lord Caitanya One of Lord Chaitanya's names is Goranga Gora means golden and Anga means form or body the one who has a golden form or golden body. So that Brahma started to chant this thing. Go Ranga. Go Ranga. Go Ranga. Go Ranga. Go Ranga. Go Ranga. Here's so then Lord Sutranya up here to Lord Brahma. He has his three marks on his neck. He's got a very broad chest, narrow waist, very beautiful smile. So when he appeared, Lord Brahma obeyed his obeisances. Fell down on the ground with his foreheads, rubbing his forehead, seeing cow down and offered his respects. Got up and offered prayers, came overwhelmed seeing the morrow, Lord Chaitanya fell down again offering obeys. And Lord Gauravi asked, why did you call me? Why do you want? The Brahma said, you see, half your life is already over. Still I did offenses. I sold your cows and calves and your Krishna Leela. I tend to be impudent and disrespectful. Sometimes I want to get purified from all these offenses. And I want to develop my pure love for you. So give me your blessing for this. The Lord Shaitan said the Tas Taha. Okay, so be it. I'm going to give you the mercy. You're going to appear as. As in a Mohammedan family, in a non Hindu family. Which means you're going to have to be very humble and tolerant. Because people are going to not appreciate what you chant. Hare Krishna. You're going to chant 300,000 names in Krishna a day. You'll be known as the Namacharya, the spiritual master of the Holy name. And your name will be Abidas. And you're going to be one of my associates in my Leela. So like this, he gave him a blessing. So Lord Brahma came down and became Haridas Thakur and participated in Lord Gauravarami's leva. Like this, even the greatest personalities of the universe, different angels, different celestial beings. They come down to participate in Lord Chaitanya's pastimes. I don't know if any of you have come from any other planets, celestial planets. You all look very fine and pure. But you probably won't reveal that to us anyway. But sometimes this can happen when people do come from other planets just to join this Sankirta movement. Because it's the easiest way to get a free ticket, very cheap ticket back to Godhead. And it's very pleasantly performed. Krishna said, whoever surrenders to me, I'll protect him. I'll take him back to me. But very hard normally for people to surrender the Lord Shaitanya tua that we just chant and we Start to practice Bhakti yoga. It's very simple. And we can actually, in this very practical, easy way. We have a very easy process like feasting and Krishna Prasad chanting, dancing, doing some of these ceremonies. It's not a very complicated thing. And by doing that we can get actually Ka's mercy. We can get back to Ka very easily by Vojitamya's special blessings on us. So like this Brahma, he came down again, took birth at this planet as a human being just to be part of Lord Chitra this pastime. So we're very fortunate, we can also be part. These pastimes are still going on. So the Lord Shaitanya's Mumma will be on this planet for 10,000 years. So we can hook up with it now. We can chant, we can practice. You don't have to. You can practice from your own home, practice in your own speed, whatever way you like to. And this way gradually build up your spiritual strength. Rather purify yourself from material contaminations and karmas and establish yourself on the transcendental platform. So Krishna comes down to attract. But that's how many people took advantage of Krishna's coming. Again, as a devotee, the devotee has a little more of a moral right. I do, I worship Krishna. You should also worship. This is how you worship Krishna. Then there's interesting. Someone told me recently in May, I was in Mexico for the Rath Yatra there and one Jagat Chakshu Prabhu, a Prabhupada disciple, my God brother, he told me that he found a book from the 1800s that a Christian theologian went to India and the name of the book was Journey to Goratpur in search of Jesus outside of Christianity. Something like that. Maybe that's not the exact opposite, but something in that direction. So he was a Christian theologian. He went. So when he got to India, somehow he came in contact with Chaitanya Mahapan, whose history, his life history. So in his book he wrote that anywhere in the world, east or west, you don't find another example better Gord Chaitanya, of total communion with God, total love of God. Then he was in his loving ecstasies and appreciation of the glories of the supreme personality of Bhagyat that he would manifest. He would be crying, would be having his ecstatic symptoms which we don't see anywhere in the world. Such an amazing kind of ecstatic symptoms. And then he also noticed that even in the final pastimes of his life, he would be together with some intimate devotees and they would be discussing very intimately, sharing their realizations about the Supreme Lord. And becoming also a deep ecstasy and crying in appreciation for the wonders of the supreme personality. He somehow is a very neutral, objective person. He really appreciated Chaitanya Mahpu. That was kind of interesting because usually nowadays people tend to put up their barricades between the different religions. And there's not so much appreciation of one or another. But apparently he went with a very open mind. And he had this kind of realization that Lord Chaitanya is offering something which he had never seen offered before in any other saint or personality, whether East, West. So like that, we hope that in the future people will be able to appreciate what Caitanya that he's actually giving us Krishna, giving us the personality of God. In a way revealing that we didn't know before. Anyway, as part of our celebration today, Taruni devidasti is taking her second initiation. Which will kind of an organization. She'll become an official priest. So that's one. And also we have Amber, who she's expecting. And she's in the sixth month of pregnancy. So fourth, sixth or eighth month. There's a ceremony can perform which is called the Shri Mata, which blesses her, her partner, her child. And we're all set up for that. We got all the ingredients. So I was talking, but probably should not be too late. Because we can do those ceremonies. We'll finish up with an aarti here and then there'll be a feast. So these things don't take too long. This Sigma to Nine ceremony is about 15 minutes. And initiation ceremony, while the Yagya is about 12 minutes. Maybe within a half an hour we can finish it. Just let me speak a few words. One thing is for us, in the Vedic culture, we like in Krishna troubles. And having children is always a matter of rejoicing. Because human beings have an opportunity to get back to Krishna. So we want to give them that opportunity. And for us, having children is a nice matter of rejoicing. It's a good opportunity to get together. When you have anybody having this like three, four ceremonies you can have during the pregnancy. Then after the child's born, there's some things that are more private, like the birth ceremony. But then there's Namakara, giving the name of the baby. Then there's Annaprasana, which is giving the first grades you offer to Krishna, give the first grace. Sometimes people do elaborate celebrations for that. Or sometimes they do it very simple. Depends what they want to do. But it's an excuse for a reason you could do a festival, for example, give everybody a feast, your child's having a present. This way it's also opportunity. Everybody likes festivals, likes to get together. It's also a nice social exchange. But it's all based around trying to spiritualize our family, spiritualize our relationships, give blessings to their children so that they can not only be successful materially and healthy materially, but that they can also spiritually achieve success in their life. So we do have about what's called dasam Samskara. It's about 10 different, these kind of purificatory rituals. Practically a few more than 10, but more or less 10, maybe 13 or 14 when you first cut the hair. It's called hundan. There's a few others that maybe not always the main ones, but they're also done together. So for this one sivantananga we performed was the indraduma swami. And we had all these different samskaras for the newly born babies and the respective mothers, the couples. We had a ceremony at a stage one time, because every year I had to do the weddings I do. I was overseeing, like weddings. And then one year I said, why not do samskaras? I didn't have any people yet married. We could do samskaras. So that's beautiful to our rituals. So we got like 15 people on the stage in South Africa, different stages of pregnancy and. And with babies, and do these different ceremonies. So it was something that many people, even modern Indians, maybe South India, they still do this more. In some parts of India they do more. Some places they're a bit modernized. They forgot really how to do some of these things. So in the west, it's not much opportunity to do it. So we like to also promote this kind of blessings because until a child gets a certain age, they really can't do too much on their own, right? They're totally dependent on their parents. So they can also get spiritual blessings from the parents through these different ceremonies. Plus also the mother gets blessings. Father everywhere. Thank you for watching our videos.
