All the food offered to Lord Jagannātha in Jagannātha Pūlī is offered to Devī, to Parvati. All the food which is offered, in fact, first she gets, then after that we get. That's why it's called Mahāprasāda. We get her remnants. Jagannātha's prasāda, then she takes, then we take. This is because Durga is the energy of K��a, as we read today. She is the material energy. She is known in the Upani��ads as Narayani, energy of Narayana. She is also known as Vaishnavī. She is the divine potency of the Lord, and she is very happy to get the Lord's prasādam.
