In this devotional talk, Jananivasa Prabhu explains the Adhi Vāś (Adhibas) ceremony performed prior to the Vyāspūja. He traces its origin to Caitanya Mahāprabhu and Nityānanda Prabhu, describing it as a preparatory rite that purifies and elevates consciousness for the upcoming Vyāspūja, which glorifies pure devotees of Krishna. The speaker details the offering of 27 specific purifying items—gold, silver, copper, kajal, sindur, shostikam, Ganges clay, rice, etc.—to the guru, emphasizing their symbolic role in cleansing the devotee’s mind. He expands on the theological framework of Krishna consciousness, distinguishing individual awakening from the collective mission: one first becomes Krishna‑conscious, then convinces others, following the program set by Lord Caitanya. The talk underscores the centrality of chanting Hare Krishna, serving the guru, and the ultimate goal of returning to the spiritual world (Godhead). References to Srila Prabhupāda’s statement about making one pure devotee as ISKCON’s success highlight the urgency of spreading Krishna consciousness. The narrative concludes with a call to propagate kīrtan worldwide, linking the ceremony to the broader ISKCON mission, and ends with a brief channel promotion.

So today, prior to the Vyāspūja, we're observing this ceremony, the Adhi Vāś ceremony. Which was performed by Caitanya Mahāprabhu and Nityānanda Prabhu, glorifying the, the cāryas who are coming in line and bringing this knowledge of Ka consciousness. So the divāsa ceremony is something like a preparation of consciousness for the function that will happen tomorrow, namely the, the yāsapūja ceremony, in which we are glorifying the activities of the, of the pure devotees of Ka, uh, and understanding the significance of the appearance of such devotees who live not for others but for themselves. And these acharyas are coming and establishing Ka consciousness, following in the footsteps of Caitanya Mahāprabhu and Pāñcātāva. In this line, this parampara line of Lord Caitanya, who is the Supreme Personality of Godhead Himself, He has come to show us how we can serve this wonderful mission of Ka consciousness by being Ka consciousness. There is our own individual consciousness, and there is also the collective Ka consciousness, which means one becomes Ka conscious himself and then he makes others Ka conscious. This is the program and order of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu, that first you become convinced about this process of Ka consciousness And when you are convinced, then you convince others. So the, the essence of the message of Krishna consciousness is you simply chant Hare Krishna and go back home, back to Godhead. This is why the cāryas have appeared. This is why Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu has appeared, to give us this opportunity to engage in the service of the Param Brahman with the connection to Krishna, so that we may may go back home, back to Godhead, back to service, regaining our eternal service to Ka, to Rādhā-Ka. So this is the significance that Śrīla Prabhupāda said, that if I can make one pure devotee of Ka, then I will consider the International Society for Krishna Consciousness a success. So it's seeing the urgency of and the need of Krishna consciousness now, one should become convinced and then take this philosophy and give Krishna consciousness to others. So there are some details like offering the adibas different items. There are 27 different items that are offered to Guru. And the idea is that these are all purifying items. 27. Gold, silver, copper, kajal, sindur, shostikam, clay from the bank of the Ganges, rice, so many different objects that are offered one after another. And in this, in this way, with mantra, the official offering is made. And so like this, the consciousness is being prepared for the significance. We are worshipping this great soul, we are serving him, we are offering this. Why? So we may become purified and go back home, back to Godhead. This is going to please our spiritual masters, this is going to please Caitanya Mahaprabhu. How we can serve, better serve our Guru Mahārāja, purify consciousness. This will be our meditation, on the greatness of Guru, how He has come here, He has given the message of Ka consciousness, and how we can repay Him, how we can serve Him, how we can help in His mission. This should be our state of mind. So it's like a meditation in purity of consciousness of actually how we can serve these great devotees by assisting them in their mission of Ka consciousness. So it's a very, very rare thing. It's a very grave function actually, because it's dealing with the topmost welfare work of the living entities, the Ka consciousness. And, but simultaneously, because we are a kīrtan movement, the mission is kīrtan, the goal is kīrtan, the satya is kīrtan. With all his kirtans. So like this, the mission of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu will be spread in every town and village of the world. So this would be the best thing for everyone to do, and also the best thing for one's own self and others. So we'll continue with the program and the glorification on this auspicious day of appearance of His Divine Grace. Om bishyam parabrahman mahantsa parivrajata charya ashtaparashurshi Jayapataka Swami Maharaj ji jai. Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare, Hare Do you like our ad-free videos?
