A recorded spiritual discourse by Jayapataka Swami (with remarks by Vaisesika Das) focused on the importance and power of associating with pure devotees (sadhu-sanga). The speakers recount devotional stories and personal experiences (Radhastami in Mayapur, Haridasa Thakur in prison, book-distribution anecdotes, temple inaugurations and prison/recovery programs) to illustrate how even brief contact with devotees can transform lives and deepen Krishna consciousness.
He was enjoying actually everyone surrendered to the finish. The finish the concrete slab up to the required level. So many things. So I'm very happy to be back here in so many devotees at the sham distribution and book distribution and preaching college preaching. I was, I was in my empire for radasthomy. We had a beautiful Radastomy festival the Babis Nirvana and Krishna moveset Radhaswami. It's a very special day in Mayapur because Mayapur is the land of Radharani. Krishna's land is Vrinava and Radharani's land is Mayanpur. She makes Mayanpur as offering for Ka. So when Ka goes into Mayatwara he takes the water rather on. So I'm trying to do a very special Radastami. So the day before Radhastami we had a very big procession to the Ganges. And I was just flying in from South India. So I reached my ampur at about 1 o' clock and went down relay to the Ganges lifting a procession to the Ganges to get water to carry back for the next day Abhishek and Rayan and Radhakrishna. So I went to the wrong evening and I got there and someone told me they already must have come and gone. So then I went into the Ganges and took my bath. And then someone told me no, they had a drawn hand, they're heading out right now and they're going to go to another God mother bathing stairway which is 300 meters down the Ganges. So I said okay, let's just swim down. So then I swam down, went down to the other lady garden and met all the devoleens there. And it must have been 200 Devolis pots and things to do the Ganges Puja offering Aarti to the Ganges. And everybody, those who are Brahmanas they didn't have to take a bath. But the non Brahmanas they're supposed to take a bath in a wet cloth. They carry the waters and all the water is pure Brahmanas, they're all pure. So everybody was carrying the Ganthis in different states of moistness and.
With the.
Elephant in the front and the Kirtan party. So it's quite nice touch on pageantry. Kind of show how important it was we were doing Kara rang that night they had a drama and then they had also in the evening they had Aribas. You know anyone? Adi Vas is a preparatory ceremony and do before very important functions like we do a daily installation with sometimes 2, 3 days before you do Adi Vasis. So Rupara Goswami prescribes the paranasa. And you offer all kinds of auspicious items to the devi, touch them to the devi, to them, to this kalash and to the ground. So there must have been about 40 items there. And each one has a mantra. But it's like gold, silver, copper, sesame seeds, mustard seeds, Ganges mat, chamara lamp, kumkum, the holy swastika. So many items. Just like a whole tray, like this tray filled with. All filled with different items, different Navaratnas, shami ram, a stone, anything nice in the world, anything, you know, that you fit in a little container. Is there a few things you didn't take a problem. Scented essential oil, Gopi chandam, all kinds of things. So each one has a mantra, touched.
To the daily.
Go ash and touch. So I got to do that, get everybody in the mood. And the next day Nagarani's birthday is there and says in Parma Purana that Marastami is more powerful than 50 or 100,000 Ekana Sea friends. Very simple. Also it's half day. It's not a very, you know, austere kind of. So a little time we had, we wanted to put as much into it we could. Everybody was there for the long life, for the thousands of devotees that gathered.
For last.
Beautiful Abhishek classes. They did a special service this year they do in Barsanas. They have Krishna Sai Bopis and Gopas and Radha Sai Gopis and Gopas and the Pru sign. We're having a tidal war and all kinds of devotees with turmoils and Vajravasi guests. During the tidal war before Rahu Krishna, he gave us a different festivities they are doing. And that may have Abishay with all the water they brought from the Ganges of the Holy Lands. So it was very nice rhinostomy. Then I was after anastomy, I went to their son, congregational devotees who have been living for 19 years in Korea. They built the temple there. And so they asked me to inaugurate it, to open it, along with the local chairman of the municipality. So then I was invited to go to Rio de Janeiro for a theatre in Johannesburg. So I didn't know which one I should go. And then I thought that I'll be going to South America later in the next November, this October I'll be going there. So better I'd come here. So then I went from Korea down here to the Katra. So I thought that when I'm here, at least I should visit Dormant and Cape Town. But I'D like to come again in January and if you want to have the Paninati type festival during the mango season depends the person. So that's. I'd like to stay longer, but I have. I have to. I have a 4th of October they're having a big festival in Russia before that I have a visa for Yugoslavia which expires on the 20 end of September. So I need to get a problem. I'd be there having Irathya next Saturday or Friday. Friday is the last time.
So to.
Go back to Europe and then in October back to India, then back to South America like that November back to India for Prabhupada disappearance and the son of them something planning out here. I may pass through in December but I was thinking probably December is not currently because that's your marathon. Which time is there? Very happy again to see all the devotees. I'm happy that also last time I was here last was the funny happy festival and that time I don't get his association with my emperor and I'll have to come down here. Any questions? How's everybody doing? Mother Mango. We did very nice teaching at the World Summit.
I don't know if you received all the information.
I heard that you're disabling Prasado and then seeking to tell me about the big Kavinam protest appear on the anonyms files in the natural television stations they broadcast are enough. So I try to make myself available for the moment before the evening. Jesus Sa translation Then Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu asks out of all auspicious and beneficial activities which is best for the living entity? Ramananda Rai replied, the only auspicious activity is association with the devotees of Ka Purport translation of repetition Then Chichetanimaru asks out of all auspicious and beneficial activities which is best which is for the living entity? For the living entity. Ramananda Rai replied, the only auspicious activity is association with is association with the devotees of Krishna. According to Srimad Bhagavatam 11230 Acha Ajantikam Semam Prichamo Pavato Naga Sansare Sming Shana Gopi Satsanga Sevadir Nina we are asking you to tell us what is the most perfect world for activity. I think that in this material world association with devotees, even if it be for a moment is the greatest treasure house for mankind. This so will find Bhakta Samaivas. Bhakta samaivas to associate with the devotees is considered to be the most auspicious here the only auspicious activity for human beings. Because association with devotees brings out our devotion to Krishna. We learn to appreciate Krishna by associating with the devotees of Ka. That's why it's important for those who are aspiring to be a devotee of Ka. To be good association for others. Not to do Pajalpa or gossiping. And not to be a poor representative of Ka. But actually to transfer that attachment of Ka, that appreciation for Ka. Most of the time they would meet with another devotee. They would invariably talk about Ka. They might the normal niceties. How are you? You're all right. But then afterwards, then talking about Ka consciousness, talking about the qualities of Ka, the glorious of Ka, the pastimes of Krishna and his devotees. This is something which was always happening with Lord Chaitanya. Lord Chaitanya would go in South India. He met Lord Shiva and they sat together and they began to talk about Ka. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu once was sitting in the King Prakabudra Maharaj and came in disguise as just an ordinary Vaishnava. Because kings were allowed to see Lord Chaitanya. So he had to come and speak as if he was just the ordinary beholding. And he was singing the Gwaris of Krishna. Bhochatani had been doing kirtan in Rath Yatra for so many hours. So he was lying with his eyes closed on a slab of stone. He didn't know overtly who was massaging his leg and who was singing all these songs about Krishna from the Bhagavatam. He was saying a beautiful breast, how Ka is the most merciful. And those who give the nectar of Ka, they're the most merciful. They're the Bodhidha Da. This word, word Da means to give. We have a demoni here, Dhana. So Da means to give for Bori. Da means someone who just gives. So the verse is there that anyone who's giving Ka, they're the most beneficent person. There may be people who are giving other kinds of charity. But that charity will all have a beginning and an end. Everything in the material world has a beginning and an end. But Ka has no beginning and no ending. Ka does the greatest act of charity. So there's a beautiful verse in the Bhaiavada talks about how giving knowledge about Krishna, talking about Ka. This person was giving that Ka association. They're Buddhis, the most magnificent people. When Lord Shaitan heard that, he just became so ecstatic. He sat up and said I don't know who you are. But you've given me so much lecture by telling you about Ka that I am very grateful to you. Therefore I don't have anything to give you because I'm just a poor man again. So all I'm going to give you is a hug. And then once you turn your hug to him, he more or less melted in Ramakrishna. So this way he got so much mercy from Lord, she took him. So it was all because of the giving Krishna. That's what we should try to do when we associate with each other is to have the quality of our association. So we give Ka to each other, appreciating the qualities, trying to find the good qualities of Ka and enumerate those and discuss those. Krishna says, what's that verse? I'm not in Vaikuntha. I'm not in the heart of the yogis. But wherever my devotees are discussing my glories, that's for. Because especially like the Gopis or the Vijavasis, they love to talk about Ka. In fact, all the childhood pastimes where Krishna was doing mischievous things, those who are just setting the scene for Ka to be discussed more opportunity to discuss his worries, to share with each other. Oh, today Ka was doing this really. So they may express it in different ways, but because everybody was totally addicted to talking about Ka. In Bengal, when Mochitani was present, there was a Mohammedan government. And you know, some are relative among the people and some are not like in every religion. So some people, they didn't. They liked that what Utah was seeing names of God. And they appreciate it. But some people, they didn't. So some Hindus came and complained to the Shankazi about Vocitanya, that he's marooning Hindu Dharma because he's singing the names of God out loud. These are supposed to be kept secret. If you sing them out loud, they lose their potency. And then some Muslims also came and they complained. And he said, well, you're complaining. Why are you all singing Hare Krishna? I mean, you're yourself are chained saying Hare Krishna. They said, this is the thing. There's some kind of magic. Once you hear them singing and dancing, you can't stop it. You just start thinking about it, sleeping, waking. You can't help but saying Halibal Haribal. It's like some mesmerizing effect. So people would begin to change just by a woman's association with the devotee Hari Das Takhal. He was on the other side. He was born a Muslim, but then he was not allowed. He was chanting Hare Ka. He loved it. He was a maiden Acharya, the spiritual master of the holy being. So then he was arrested by this Mughal king. And he was told, why you're being a Muslim? Why are you chanting Hare Krishna? He said, anyway, there's only one God, a God that we know as Allah. He also has other names in different languages. And in Sanskrit, his name is Krishna. So some people like to chant the name in Arabic. Some people like to. I do personally like to chant the name of Allah in Sanskrit. So therefore I chant as Krishna. It's only the same lore, just different names, different languages. So somebody chants Hare Ka or somebody chants Ama. What's the problem? So many people are chanting Amala. So one person chants Krishna, as in Ahmed harming anybody. It's just my personal preference. So is there any harm that I'm causing to anybody? Then he thought, well, actually there's no harm. That's the problem. He can change. But then his Mula, his ayatollah, he objected. He said, no, if one starts, then everybody will start. He pretty sure could become a move by a sting. This is haram. This is very offensive. So he should be punished. Put him in jail. So then Harida's Takur, he was put into the prison. And so he's there with all the killers, murderers, in prison to fight his own criminals. So he's there with all of the criminals and he's chanting Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama Hare Hare. And then the criminals, they find. They focus. What is this guy doing? Why are you always happy? What right do you have to be happy? We're in this miserable place and we're in this prison. Why you're happy? Was he crazy or something? And Haridas Thakwa said, well, everybody in the whole world is in a prison. This whole entire material existence is a prison. And the only difference is that we know we're in prison and they don't. We're in the small prison within the prison. And there we're in the big prison. We're all prisoners. We're all suffering birth, death, old age, disease. We're all forced to go through the cycle of birth and death. We're forced. We're prisoners of our senses and other modes of nature and so on. You should all be happy that you're in prison. Fuck you. Nonsense. You should be happy with. Don't joke with us. Why you should be happy when prison. Because you know that you're in prison, therefore you're better off, you're at least more in touch with reality. They're in prison, but they don't know it. But because you know you're in prison, you can actually. The real way of being free is to liberate your consciousness. Because even you're liberated from this little prison house, you're still going to be within the prison of this body. But if you sing the names, the chant mantras of Hare Ka, then you'll be liberated from your consciousness. You'll be liberated from this material consciousness, liberated from the whole bodily concept, and then you'll be able to experience transcendental happiness. So like this, he convinced them all to sing and chant. So then they were all singing, dancing and chanting in their prison. Then the word got to the king that there's prison. Everybody's happy, singing and dancing. And then the king said, what's going on here? You put people in prison, so they suffer. Actually, they're really being rehabilitation. Nowadays, modern prisons are called rehabilitation. Like, they want a rehabilitation center. They want a rehabilitation. Very few people get rehabilitated, but through this chanting, you actually become rehabilitated. We do in Malaysia. We give this chanting, therapy and counseling programs to the inmates, to the drug rehabilitation centers. Those who are heroin addicts, mainly heroin addicts, they have an option of going to prison or going to the rehabilitation center. So most of them are for the rehabilitation center. And then we go there and give programs for the Hindu, Indian, Chinese or attendants. And the government has recognized that the people who go through our mantra program, that at least 60% don't go back to drugs, which for them is like that, are very high because usually 80% go back. Their success rate is about 20%. So we have a 60% success rate. So they thought it was. So they were encouraging us to do more of these programs. And so these prisoners, this by a little association with Haridaz Thakur, they all got. They had a change of heart. They started feeling spiritual happiness. So every one of you can also make tremendous difference in the lives of the people you meet. By leaving ka association, you have the potential to give people ka. And if you give them that ka satsanga, then they'll change their lives. Lava matrasatu samya sara Sit behind that. Association with devotees. Association with devotees. Even a fraction of a second a lover, technically a lover is a sixth of a second. Even a second association with the devotee could change one and give one all perfection. In the Puranas, it says how there was a thief who was being chased by the police and he's trying to escape. So he ran by a temple. They saw like this, a group of people sitting down on the sutra. They were just disguised behind him. The police are just about to turn the corner. So he jumped in and sat on my screen. So meanwhile the class was going on and the picture was talking about Krishna, talking about karma or. For every action we do, we get a reaction. How the purpose of human life is actually to perform transcendental activities that don't produce any reaction. I don't know what the class was. I'd like to know, actually. Somehow in the short time that he was in the class, when the police were gone and they couldn't. He left after the class was over one hour. But he could never forget the class. And actually because of that, even just for the few moments that he was in the class, he became a devotee. I was giving a class in Poland and at the end of the class there was a public hall and there was maybe a few hundred devotees there. People. Probably at the end of the program, the. A young man stood up. He was always going to sanct, actually. And he said that by the end of the question, he said actually there was a Hare Krishna festival going on. Some festival, music festival where Hare Krishna put out a book table. Books and things ever do that here? And said that three young men that came up to the book table with the idea to somehow play around with the book distributor and steal one of his books. So they came and two were distracting on one side and talking and this and that. The other one took a Bible gid and put it in his bank. So then he said that actually they were really laughing. And I thought he really played a joke on those Harry Christians. They took their paradox. But later on someone wanted to say, what is this book anyway? And I said, and they read the book. And I just want to admit to you that I'm one of those three. The other one is I'm your disciple. The other one is disciple. The third one also became your disciple by reading the Bible. So we thought, you know, who cheated who, right? They wanted to take from Krishna. Instead, Krishna captured them. Probably they would never buy the book, right? If they stole it, they wouldn't.
See.
Even a moment's association can have so much positive effect in the lecture of instruction. It describes how there's importance to control our urges of speech, of anger, and to also control the tongue and the belly and the genitals from just being completely out of control. Control these urges. And then so there's a very long purport to that verse, Prabhupada explains how we are all spiritual by nature, but because of conditioning, we become conditioned to think that we're this material body. And so we're put under the control of the material energy. But if we're able to understand that we are of the spiritual nature, we put ourselves under the spiritual energy, the internal potency of Krishna, like Raha Lakshmi, then we're able to engage in devotional service under the spiritual potency. That's when we actually achieve the real happiness we're seeking. So then there's two more verses that tell us what we should avoid and what we should would I recommend it. So the thing we should avoid is association with non devotees. The non devotees who are thoroughly identified with this bodily concept of life, they tend to pull our consciousness down into that level. But when you associate with devotees, the devotee is considered a Mahatma. Anybody who is rendering devotional service is great soul because they've understood how they fit into the whole universe. They've understood their relationship with Krishna as an eternal servant. And they have a natural outlook which is in harmony with nature, with Krishna, with the whole universe. On the other hand, the persons who are not in the consciousness or in the mundane consciousness, the materialistic consciousness, they're called dura atmas or misdirected souls. And they're seeing everything from this distorted point of view. So if we associate with them, then we tend. We tend to get conditioned and we associate with devotees. We tend to get liberated. So the eight practices of eight levels of advancement of spiritual life is first is shalt faith Ado Shraddha to come and hear a class, to come and hear from devotees. I have some faith to at least find out what is it about. And the second level is called Sadhu sangha, to associate with the devotees. When we associate with the devotees, that's when we start to make further progress. So by associating with devotees, we started seeing things from a spiritual point of view. Then the next step was to perform devotional service. And she started to chant. I have to come all the way to Cape Town in order to get this association. Because in Mayapur we'll be ref. Now I was at Mayapur for his Vyasa Puja celebration. And there we were glorifying Srila Prabhupada Bhakti Srirumahaj. He was serving Srila Prabhupada so selflessly during Prabhupada's final relapse. And Prabhupada gave him so much mercy that you're always inspired by his service attitude and his gain and mercy. This is the verse we're not able to get the association now in my upper Matshara he's looking all over the universe where I could find him. He thought he could hide from me somehow. Krishna gave me this good fortune. So reading today this one how association with the devotee is the most important. So I just came actually to get this association. Saeed the Purified actually doing such an important service. We know we have to make this sacrifice because he's doing the Aboycharan series which is to give everybody the association with Prabhupada. So he's what we're talking about, association with devotees. So here Prabhupada is the pure devotee to present that through the medium of film so that people can to some extent get some experience of Grampha and appreciate its worries. That's his wonderful vision and that's the most important association to give. So he's depriving us a little bit of his association so that anyone can get Prabhupada's association. But your portion is here in the Gideon's Association.
I'm stuck. Well, I. First of all I want to say.
That I'm very sorry that.
Couldn'T come earlier. And actually I should have taken this opportunity opportunity to have the association of Shiva Jayapataka Swami Maharaj, my very senior Godbrother. From the beginning of my spiritual life Jayakataka Maharaj played a very important role when enjoying since the time he actually took me under his wings and gave me a very soothing and very profound shelter. It is due to the mercy of Jayapatika Maharaj and my other senior godbrothers like Babananda Maharaj, Tamakrishna Maharaj that I had the good fortune of the association of Shankaraka. And often I recall one very wonderful incident that shows Jaypathaka Maharaj's kind heartedness and concern for the devotees. Once after I joined in Mayapur I had some disagreement with some devotee. And also when I came and joined in Mayapur I didn't inform anybody back home. I came to visit Mayapurai and I ended up joining. The next morning I shaved up and I went devotee.
So.
So when I had. One thing is that I had this disagreement with one devotee. But that was not a very big thing. But I felt that I should at least go home and tell them what I'm doing. At that time, Jaipadaka Maharaj was on a traveling preaching program, book distribution program. Maharaj Used to go with a group of devotees in different parts of versus. So when Maharaj came back to Mayapur, he heard that I went back home. Not my original home, but my father's home. And so when he got the news, when he got to know that I left, Maharaj just went to Calcutta and went to my house, my father's house. And it so happened that day I was visiting a friend and the whole day I was out and Maharaj went there three, four times to just meet with me. So when I came back home at night, my father told me that. And I felt so obliged that the next morning I went to the temple to attend the Mungaladic. And when I went there, I found that Maharaj already left. So. But Gargamoni Maharaj was going to my purpose. So I just got a ride with him to my pure. So that shows how kind hearted Jayapura Ramarj is. And since then, time and time again I have seen Maharaj always so concerned about the devotees. He would. He would always try to save all the devotees and go out of his way to bring devotees back. So this way we can see how great and how wonderful devotee. And today I was feeling very embarrassed that such an exalted devotee is such a wonderful God. Took all the took the trouble to come here and why didn't I drop everything and just come and see Maharajing be with him. And as my senior godbrother, as my Shiksha guru Jayapadaga Maharaj is teaching me what to do and what not to do. And this verse is an ideal instruction for me that Maharaj is pointing out that I should actually seek for devotee association because that's the most important thing. And often we feel that this is one problem we have. In this context we notice that we are so busy, everyone, especially the devotees in leadership position, they are so busy that they don't actually have the time to associate with anybody. I remember two years back, some devotees were making that point. Like when we are considering different problems of iskcon, the point that was made was that for two months all the devotees should just converge in mind. All the leaders of ISKCON should come to my home and just stay there for two months, associate with them, drop all their management. And often I thought that that's of Benny important consideration. Our problems, lot of our problems can be solved if we all get together and spend time with each other. And as it has been pointed out by this verse, in this verse, through Ramananda Roy, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu who is pointing out to us and how important it is to associate with devotees. And about association of devotees, which has been pointed out also in Srimad Bhagavatam, what kind of association we should seek for it says that Shajati Ashaya, Sriktha Sadhu Sangu Satu Bhagi. That what kind of Sangha or what kind of sadhu Sangha, what kind of association of devotees we should always seek for he should be Sajatiya, he should be of the same. In simple words, we can say he should be from the same sampradaya. Like we should seek for Gauria Vaishnav association. Or we can even focus it and make it precise that we should seek for the association of Prabhupada Nandra. That is one very special association. You should see the devotees, those who are loyal to Srila Prabhupada, devotees who have dedicated themselves to Srila Prabhupada. That is the meaning of Swajati, of belonging to the same family. And he should be snigtha. He should be very gentle, A kind of person in whose association our hearts will become tranquil. Our heart will feel the serenity. Sajathi Ashrasmitha, Sadhu Sangha, Swatu body. And that sadhu should be more advanced. Body means senior or more than five. So that is like we often we associate, but we are in the association of devotees. But often that association is of junior devotees. Especially we leaders in Afghis Khan do not really get the opportunity to so often to associate with the senior devotees. So Jayapura Maharaj gave me a little pat on my back today and reminded me of my my duty. I was about to say that he gave me this. That on.
Wasn'T my intention. No slaps.
But whatever it is, thank you very much. Mar. It's always so wonderful.
This verse was picked out by singing.
Anyway ultimately solved Krishna's arrangement. This Krishna consciousness movement is actually meant for association with different things. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu personally showed that, as you can see through the discussion that he had with Ramana Devoi very systematically. Mahaprabhu is bringing us up to the point like what is the ultimate goal of life? And Mahaprabhu Sri Ramananda Rai rejected everything one after another. He rejected Karma yoga, he rejected Gyani Yoga, he rejected Sannyas. He rejected every single and every other aspect, even spiritual practice. But then, when it came to pure devotional service, Chaitanya Mahapra accepted. Yes, that's it. But then also step by step, he pointed out through his questions Chetanya Mahaprabhu asked the questions to Ramanandurai and Ramanandurai answered. And through these questions and answers, Chaitanu Mahaprabhu pointed out that pure devotional service is the real spiritual activity. Karma Yoga, Gyana Yoga, all these different processes, they are simply the means to come to a certain point. But the ultimate point of spiritual activity is pure devotion of service, not mixed devotion. Then pure devotional service again you know, has different levels. Pure devotional service in survey to ship, pure devotional service in friendship with the Lord, pure devotional service in parental love and pure devotional service in conjugal love. And then further Mahapur went to went to the point, went to the point of indicating that even the conjugal love in Vrindavan is the highest loving devotion, highest platform. And in Vrindavan Shimunti Radharani's position is the highest. And then when it came to the point of like what are, how should a devotee lead his life? Then Ramanandra right is pointing out like what are desired, what is real desirable object when one becomes a devotee. And this verse is pointing out that as a devotee one simply wants to have an association of devotees. That also has been pointed out by Papil Dev when he was instructing his mother Satan Prashandan Mamuviricha Sam Vida why association of devotee is so important? Because in Satan Prasham Gyan, in the association of devotees Mama Birija Samdhida very.
Powerful.
Understanding and recollection of the supreme personality of God Godhead Ka takes place. It's only in the association of devotees that we can discuss about Ka. And in the association of devotees we can understand the importance of Ka consciousness. And as a result of that Bhavanti is Karna Rashayana Katha that Krishna Katha, the discussions about Ka pleases the heart. The heart becomes very joyful by hearing about Krishna in the association of exalted devotees and Tajoshu Nadashu Apuvadu at Muni and by hearing about Krishna very quickly Ashu, the materialistic life comes to an end. The power Varga, the materialistic life that begins with sinful activities and ends with death. And the beginning of materialistic life is sin. And the culmination of that materialistic life is death. So that is called Pavarga. So this materialistic life comes to an end by hearing about from the lotus lips of any thought that they've also taken. And then what happens? Shraddharati Bhakti on Mukra Mishati. Gradually one develops his faith in Krishna consciousness. He develops his taste, he develops his devotion. So this is the benefit of the association of devotees. And how is the association of devotees? This association of devotees actually takes place on a completely different level. It doesn't take place on the material level, it takes place on the space level. Therefore, material consideration of time doesn't have anything to do with. That's what it says.
Lava.
One lover is 1/11 part of a second. That 1/11 part of a second association of a devotee. Everything is achieved or everything can be achieved in this respect. I just remember one very beautiful example was given by His Holiness Bhakti Chaitanya Maharaj. The other day we were. Maharaj was telling about Prabhupada Memorial day. And on the 17th of September we celebrated Prabhupada Memorial Day in Durban. And Dr. Chaitanya Maharaj was speaking about Srila Prabhupada. The first time he met Shila Prabhupada. The first time he saw Shila Prabhupada he was in New Zealand. He was just a young student at the time in the university. And there he saw a very strange sight. And he saw some young girls who were dressed up in Indian sarees. And there was a. And they were surround. They were flanking or one elderly Indian gentleman was flanked by some young girls and they were throwing flower petals. And there were groups of young men, Western boys, clad in saffron robes. They were following them. And this person was very unusual and he was telling that he had a feeling that this is heavenly, this is out of this world because this is not a sight from this world. And then he, then this gentleman, the Indian, elderly Indian gentleman, you can very imagine who that person was. That was Srila Prabhupada.
So.
Srila Prabhupada sat down on the lawn in the campus and Prabhupada was peaking and he couldn't actually understand what Prabhupada was speaking because Prabhupada, you know, he was not acquainted with the Indian English accent and Prabhupada anyway, so he was, he couldn't understand a single word of what Prabhupada saying. And first of all, Prabhupada English he couldn't understand then he was not familiar with the topic that Prabhupada was discussing. But just that impression, he was there, stood there, and when he couldn't understand, he walked away. But it had such a deep impression in his mind, in his heart.
