Transcript of a Vyāsa Pūjā ceremony in Mayapur honoring Jaya Pataka Swami. The recording records mantras, ritual explanations (installation of an Acharya-pot/holipath, offering of upavastra and puja books), and multiple devotees’ speeches/testimonials emphasizing the Guru–paramparā, service to Srila Prabhupada, devotional qualities, and appeals to preserve and continue the mission. The tone is reverent, devotional, and exhortatory.
Sam. Ram Sam. It's. It's Ram Sam. It's Ram Sam. It's. It's Sam. Ram. It's Hal. It's. It's Sam. It's. It's. It's Ram Sam. It's Ram Sam. Ram Ram Sam Sa Ram. So.
We can thank you and snap it. Repeat the mantra for bringing auspiciousness from the Puja. The Lord should come in the word. The devotees found a process written by Bhakti Siddhan Sarasoti Thakur and corrected by Bhakti Dinol Thakur for the Vyasa Puja celebration. And part of it is to install a holipath with all the Acharya. We just invited Prabhupada Thakur, Jagannathas, Babaji and all the other previous Acharyas are all sitting right now in this pot. Then we're going to also invite five Acharyas, all kinds of personalities to come in this pot. Like we explained before, each time we install Anu, then we're going to worship all of them. Then after that we perform the Avas with the Shaligram Shivas and all the Acharyas from our Sampradaya, from the four Sampradayas from the spiritual world, from ancient collection of all the great spiritual masters. They're all going to be in this pot. And this pot is going to be kept on the altar. Tonight worship in the morning and in the tomorrow bring the as Puja celebration. The pot will be sitting up in the back there next to Prabhupada and everyone. So they'll be looking down on top of me and all of you.

Abahano Bhagwan since we Gurude Param, Guru Paramashti, Guru Evan Amarajatu Panchakan Important wind Mahaprabhu Srirachal.

Sapory ceremony the day before prescribe before daily installations, the Vyat Pujas, Samastani Sagrab to get us purified and prepared in the right consciousness that we're doing a Yajna overpriced for the pleasure of the Guru Parampara. Everyone likes festivals, Everyone likes feasts.
Especially.
At the same time. To get the most out of a festival on USAV is to be uplifted. We need to be in the proper consciousness. So this is definitely very sobering for me. But I know that in this pod we have the fourth Muarez and Bishop Shena, we have Sutiveva Goswami, we have Ali Guru Parambara to open all the devotees and all the proper consciousness. Those who want to gather for granted from the Yagna we're putting on the right ladies on the left hand and then on the right hand. So do you know that this idea of Yasuja is worshipping the Guru as the representative of a discipline succession, worshiping the whole discipline succession through that spiritual master. All of us are connected to the Guru Parampara only respect one member and the Guru Parampara we either respect all the members because the mercy that we get from the spiritual master we're getting from all the spiritual masters becomes down by descending masters disciple Ganges helping God from the fossil ocean, watching the lotus feet of Lord Vishnu and then descending to the three worlds. In this Kemla Purana it mentions that the same water that's outside the universe is inside the universe in the form of Danga. So this year we went to the Deva Prayara where the Alakandams and Bagheerati combined. From that point on the river is known as Ganga. So it mentions that in Kali Yuga Ganga gives us the mercy. In Kali Yuga the holy name gives us the mercy and we get also the mercy by association of Guru and Vaishnava according to gains how to go to white side holding on Jan. So hope all the devotees get in the proper consciousness and have a real nice celebration tomorrow. Hare Krishna. Hari Krishna.
Krishna Krishna.
We're the bank back Shilas to the temple intercession. We will take the gut the installed part of all the Acharyas also to the temple.
We have the umbrella.
We would like to thank all the.
Devotees who have very enthusiastically.
Participated in this Adi ceremony.
We hope you all enjoy the very.
Nicely and wish you all the best.
It's Ram Sam. Yeah, Sam Ra Sam. Ram it it. And.
Now for the Upavastra we have a special Upavastra which is ordered by Guru Mahara Harinam Chadar with Radha Madhava lotus feet and special order of Jayar Atma Dhava under the supervision of Jananiva Strabhu. It was made at Jagannath Mandir and award to Radha Madhava. Today we are very happy to present you his first production. So Jalami Masrami Amayam.
Sa.
Hare Krishna.
Now.
There will be Bengali Pasa Puja book to be offered to Guru Maharaj and this has been prepared. Everything has been done by Padmapad Prabhu and he will go and offer it.
To Guru Maharaj.
It.
Hare Krishna. Now there will be offering.
So service to the devotees and the the regulations of Pansarachaka Pt. Lord Caitanya actually came to give the process of the Holy Name as the most superior conception of worship of God in the age of Kali Yuga. So.
It'S not.
This is the time we get actually to glorify the devotees and serve the devotees. And this is one of the most pleasing aspects to please Krishna. If Krishna finds his devotees unpleased pragmatism, there's nothing else that will satisfy Krishna more than this. So we take advantage in these days and glorify, serve, remember somehow or another to be absorbed in service and the devotees of Krishna.
Maharaj has always been a very great inspiration for my service to Srila Prabhupada. I knew him in as early as 1972 when I was the Pujaria in Calcutta. I was worshipping radical Vinda deities in Calcutta. And Maharaj used to live in Mayapur. And he was working so hard for Srila Prabhupada. At that time in Mayapur, there was only one hut and many, many rice fields. So Maharaj, sometimes he would even plow the field. And sometimes he would ride on the cement truck and the truck with bricks to build the building, this lotus building. He would ride in the truck because that time the cement and the bricks were very, very scarce. So he would have to protect the truck. And he would ride from Calcutta to Mayapur in the truck. So he was always a very great inspiration. And he would follow very strictly all the regatta principles. He'd always be at Mangalati in Calcutta, even though he had a very hard day's work. And also I remember that he would always treat me like his mother. I would have the Maha Prashad and he would come begging to me, mother, you have something for me to eat? And I would always give him Maha Prashad because he was such a nice son. I thought he was a very nice son. And not only was he a nice son, but he was a great inspiration. When I would see how he would chant Hare Krishna, then I would also be inspired to chant Martin Hare Krishna. And when I would hear him give his very enthusiastic classes, then I would also be very inspired to serve Srila Prabhupada. So I was reading in Srimad Bhagavatam there is one verse where Shukrip Goshami says, gyanasim achuta bala. So Gyanasim means that Krishna gives us the sword of knowledge, I.e. gita Bhagavatam, all of his words. But unless we get the strength of Balaram, we can't hold the sword. So that's Bachuta Balaam. So we need both. We need Krishna's help and we need Balaram's help. So Balaram's help comes through the spiritual master, Guru Maharaj. So by the mercy of the Guru, we can hold the sword of knowledge and preach in five Srila Prabhupada. So Prabhupada gave me some orders to preach and also to teach. And Maharaj was talking about that in his class today that we have to follow the orders of Srila Prabhupada. So today I'm begging for Maharaj's blessings so that I can also follow the orders that Prabhupada gave me. Because he is already doing it hundred times more, a thousand times more than I can ever hope to do. So I'm just begging for Maharaj's blessings and for all of you also to follow your Guru Maharaj and follow the orders of Siddhartha. Thank you very much.
Who is the sold out, faithful, empowered servant of Sridhar Prabhupada. I'm very honored to be here today on this auspicious occasion and to offer a few words and qualification of my Godbrother who has distinguished himself for many, many mission. The main principle, one of the principles in Vaishnavism is that one should not look for the spots on the moon. There are spots on the moon if you want to look for the spots on the moon. You can do that if you want to look at the full moon. Just like Ka has, his face is compared to a full moon. We can appreciate in this way also the Vaishnavas, especially those that are fully dedicated without reservation to the mission of Srila Prabhupada making a difference not only just in India, but all over the world. That is Jaguar, Dhaka Maharaj that for so many decades, actually I joined the same year as Jackataka Mari. We have seen this movement go through so many incarnations, so much transformation over the years into the present day. And I'd like to say that.
He.
Is distinguishing himself in ways that you know, but perhaps it will help you to appreciate even more. You hear a Godbrother also saying the same things regarding his good qualities. I just came from the three weeks of personal association on the Ganga Safari party. And so I had an opportunity to see up close, I have for the past three years the personal behavior of Jaguataka Maharaj. And it's quite amazing because he has got so many good Vaishnava qualities, compassion, I, you know, these things. But I want to repeat them that he is compassionate to the devotees, he is loving and affectionate to the devotees. He is very kind to his godbrothers. He has attended the detail to see that their cares and needs are taken care of. He is willing to listen to anybody that comes forward. And there's one quality that I notice is very outstanding and that is that he is Dira. Just like we are singing the songs of the six called Swamis. Dira, Dhira, Jana, Jana, Priya, Karomanyo, Sadakanyo, we are singing that song in glorification of those six Goswamis and Vrindava. So Japanaka Maharaj, by being a sold out follower, totally dedicated to Sri Prabhupada. But he's having qualities, also good qualities. He's having qualities. Following in the footsteps of the sixth Gosam is in Vrindavan. Dheera means control, control of the tongue. So actually, in all the time I have spent a personal association with Jaipur Daki Maharaj actually rarely gets upset. It really takes something big to get him upset or it really takes something big to get him angry. Most of the time he's very pleasant, jovial and very, very tolerant and very supportive of his disciples. Even if a disciple does something wrong, he's very concerned and compassionate and trying to look for a solution to the situation. He doesn't get upset. These are signs of advancement in Ka consciousness. So I just want to emphasize what you already know to increase your faith and appreciation. Now, before I complete, I want to say something else also that the class Maharsh gave this morning, it is very, very important. It should be distributed on the Internet all over the world. Especially actually for all the devotees, not only for disciples, all the devotees should hear what he had to say this morning. It should be printed in magazines. It should be distributed by word of mouth in every way possible. Because the instructions he gave this morning are essential to your progress as this, you know, a disciple. Disciples are always asking for personal guidance. They always want personal instruction. It's very, very difficult if you have so many thousands of disciples. Especially if somebody else is coming forward with emails saying, Maharaj, please name my baby. There's a world mission, there's crisis. There's so many things that are going on and people want things like the Guru to name their baby. That's very nice. If you personally, with the Maharaj Namah program or something that you can name your baby, that's great. But otherwise it's a great world mission. Souls are dying. They are burning in the fire of this material world. So as far as personal instruction, I just want to emphasize you all, every single person received personal instructions instruction this morning from Jaguar Thakur Maharaj. Please take it. I am begging actually, please take it in that way. Because the instruction he's giving so important. So let us highlight some of those instructions. That time is going. He is saying that every year of Yasa Puja, one year, his body is one year older. All of us, look of us that took direct initiation. We don't have much time left. This movement must be passed on to you all. You must become very strong. Balara, my God sister mentioned about Balaram. Yes, Balahini. Now who gives? Actually, I'll never forget it. San Francisco Brath Yatra 1970 Srira Prabhad wisdom speaking Gaman, who is Lord Balaram? He said, who gives you spiritual strength?
And like.
Like the whole universe was shaking on his. Who gives you spiritual strength, that is Balaram. So we must become strong. Balaram is Adi Guru after Krishna first. Adi Guru is Bahram. And our disciple succession is deception. From Palarang through Nitai down to the disciples succession all the way to Jaipur. Dankar Maharaj and all my God brothers. You must become strong in this way to keep the legacy of your Guru Maharaj alive and well. Because our bodies, these material bodies that we have, they're not permanent. You know that. But we haven't got much time to have. House is burning. The house of the material world is burning. We haven't got much time to complete a foundation for this movement in such a way that you all who are younger than us, whose bodies will last longer, can carry on. Please. I'm begging. Become fit to carry on the hard work that your Guru is doing. Especially working to spread Ka consciousness not only in India but all over the world. Your duty is to take up with that same spirit, that same sold out food. Sold out to your Guru Maharaj and also sold out to Suna Prabhupada. Completely sold out. Develop your love for Prabhupada so that after we're all dead and gone, you can be very, very strong in your conviction.
Yes.
ISKCON is Prabhupada's body.
Yes.
This is the mission of Tetanima Babu.
Yes.
I'll keep on reading Prabhupada's books. Please do not become a separatist. Because you know you have one of Srila Prabhupada's dear most disciples and one of Srila Prabhupada's most empowered preachers. Says your Gurubhaj but please don't become separatists. Your duty as disciples is to give relief to your Guru Maharaj. Please remember that. To give him relief. That means being become leaders. Those of you who are householders become bhakta kapi bhiksha leaders. Become Namahatha leaders. Or become an assistant to the temple president. Do something wonderful, your Guru Maharaj. That way you will be recognized by Krishna Prabhupada. And you will be recognized by our Guru Maharaj also. So time is short. Make yourself strong now. Don't wait.
And you.
Become spiritually strong. Now help your Guru Maharaj. Do something wonderful to assist your Guru Maharaj.
Now.
Because there's no difference between the mission of your Guru Maharaj and the mission of Srila Prabhupada. It's one and the same. That's called the absolute platform. Otherwise it would be the mundane dualistic platform. It is the same mission.
Similar.
Your mission is the same as the mission of Srina Prabhupada. Your mission mission is the same as the mission of Guru Maharaj. Carry it on because I've heard disturbing stories. For example, I think it's Kazakhstan, someplace like that. Where disciples of Jaguataka Maharaj they're fighting with disciples of Gopal Krishna Maharaj. That does not give pleasure to you, Guru Maharaj. Never, never will I give him. Because he has a big heart. He has compassion. He has a big heart. He gives him penny just in Mahabhara. In our generation we caused so much trouble to see the Prophet. It gave him pain. Literally heart pain. Literally heartaches. Don't do that to your Guru Maharaj. Don't do that. You must become big hearted like him. You must become tolerant like him. Because he is an Acharya. He may not be infallible. That isn't required to be Acharya. It's not required to be Guru.
No.
Just follow his example. How he's following his Prabhupada's footsteps. That means don't become separatists. Don't become fault finders. Don't think just because you have such a glorious empowered Acharya for your Guru Dev that therefore you all are better than others. And then you spit on other disciples who have got some other guru and some other land in some other country and this and that. No, that does that cannot give pleasure to you, Guru Maharaj. You want people to oh Maharaj, how can we please you? Become a pure devotee.
That's how.
Become a pure devotee. Study those 26 qualities of Vaishnava. If you see a Vaishnava, take the dust from their feet. Never mind who their Guru is. As long as they're bona fide spiritual master following in the line of Srila Prabhupada Baksa dancers. Take the dust from their feet, put it on your head. Please develop this legacy. Then you will always know. Somebody's asking how do we know we are getting the mercy? How do we know that we are getting the mercy of our Guru? How do we know that we are receiving that we. How do we get the mercy of a Guru? How do we verify that? But Krishna is. Take the Guru within the heart. You surrender to the mission of your Guru Maharaj and assist him and assist all the Vaishtavas. Otherwise why we're saying take the dust of all the Vaishnavas you put on your head, then you will give pleasure. Then you will know you're giving pleasure to Guru Maharaj. Because that's what he does. He giving his broad minded. He is actual Mahatma. He is broad minded with Gorima other Vaishtavas, he brings them together in an attitude of reconciliation. All these things that Srila Prabhupada wants done, he's doing like that. You just assist them. Then your life is perfect and you know you're getting full 100% mercy. Thank you very much.
Thank you very much for his prayer.
Thank you.
He's on a safari for three weeks. But we'll now beg his forgiveness for all the offenses the disciples must have been offering to him not serving his Lord as faith properly.
Foreign.
Dear Solness is a seventh master of basicist theologosphere. In this auspicious occasion of your fears in this world, I want to offer my sincerest sentiment of gratitude for the great service that you are offering to Srila Prabhupada in expanding and rendering more manifest the wonderful holy town Srimayapuchando Daya Mandira that Srila Prabhupada told directly to do. Expanding, developing my poor Chandradea Mandir and enjoy. So by your mercy we are all here in this most holy place, the sacred. As Bhaktivin Otaku said that this universe, the sacred place is Mayapuru. Chandradhara Mandre is the most sacred place. And by this propag we are seeing this Mayapur Chandra Mandir expanding every day. And the devotees are coming from the west for the Goku Nima. I'm surprised to see how it's increasing continuously, unlimitedly. So just like this year there were so many devotees, didn't come to Mayanko or some devotee didn't come for 20 years.
30.
30 years. So they were amazed in such a detailed way. This wonderful holy Dhamma is being manifested by the mercy of Japattaka Swami Maharaj. So in this occasion I also ask blessing to follow in his footsteps in a way that is so enlarged and manifesting. And following Srila prayer instruction.
We had no money, we didn't know what to do. We wanted to do something for this great guru that was coming. And we got some lining clothes, some red carpet and some. My daughter decorated it with flowers and fruits and everything. And you came and you just stood at the edge. You wouldn't step on it, but she was so excited, she said, please, it's for you, step on it. And then you walk down and it was so nice. Somehow you just connected or she connected with you at that time. And at that time, I'm sure you don't remember, but you gave her a small deity of Ganesh and told her that when you worship Ganesh, he will remove the obstacles in our path and spiritual life. And she's still worshipping that deity many years later, two or three years later, you brought us here to Mahaj bow, bow and arrow. And you came to our house. We lived in the top of the goshala. And you came for lunch one day and you saw the bow. It was unstrung because it was so strong nobody could string it. And you said, oh, whose is that? And my husband explained that he'd made it, and you very easily strung it. And you said, let's go outside. You maybe don't remember this. And we went out and at that time there were just fields around the goshala. And you said to my daughter, who was six at the time, oh, what should I aim for? And there was nothing around, so but way across the field there was one stick sticking up a little higher than the grass. And she said, oh, wait for that. And you said, okay. And you just looked at it and then shot the arrow so high in the air we lost sight of it. It went up, up, up, and then it came down right into the top of the.
Armature.
Been there for 10 years. And somehow I always met you in the shoe room. I was always coming out and you were always arriving. Somehow I was always paying my basis in the shoe room to you. And at that time, my daughter was then the end of her teens and she decided to take initiation from you. And we went to see you. You were with Keshava Bharati Prabhu. And so. And we asked if she could take shelter of you and take initiation from you. And you look so humble and so surprised. Who, me? She wanted to take initiation from me. This is always. You're so personal and so humble, Maharaj. You have so many reasons to be so proud. And yet you're always so humble. So anyway, she went on to become initiated by you. And then this is a very personal story, very amazing story that later on she got married and she had a very difficult marriage and quite a violent marriage, actually. And you were in Singapore at the time. It was the year when we had the biggest flood in my tour in three. And it was also the year that Marquesh Prabhu left. So there was two major disasters happening. And Mars was in Singapore and he was waiting. He had a ticket to go to Russia to save the situation in Russia. And he had a ticket in the other hand to come to Mayapur to fly to Calcutta because we had such a huge situation here with the biggest flood in 300 years. And you told me that you had. You were just going to log on one more time and see which situation was worse to get on that plane.
Meanwhile.
Meanwhile, meanwhile, my daughter had a very difficult, horrible thing happen in her marriage. And I wrote, asking you to please, just as her spiritual father, just write her a few words because she was in the most desperate situation of her life. Just write a few words of wisdom to encourage her. But when you logged on to see which situation to go to, you got my letter and you went straight to the counter and asked when was the next plane for Perth, Australia? And it was just leaving. And you, I don't know what you said. Some prayers and some blessings, whatever. And now I have a lovely granddaughter. So I'm very grateful to you. You've been there in our life so much. And one last thing, one last sweet memory I have is one day I was just leaving early for some reason out of Tulsi Arti. And you were walking around Tulsi Arti. And just as I was walking out, our paths crossed. And you stood and everybody stopped behind you. And you asked me, how are you? And how is your service and is everything all right? Here you are like Narada Mooney, traveling all over the world with thousands of disciples depending on you. And you, you thought about one little God sister and is she all right? So thank you so much, Marsh. Happy birthday. Happy today. Hi, Krishna.
Thank you very much. Now serving in Mayapur as the secretary of the Mayapur temple. As always, who before was principal of the Gurukul. She's always doing very valuable services. Very pleased to have such a wonderful God sister and that she's part of our Mayaprio family.
1977 and one of my first remembrances is that we were on Parikram and I. I think we were at where the Jagannath temple now is. But at that time it was just a field. Isn't that right, Mark? Am I wrong or.
Anyway, there wasn't. There was very small Jagannath temple.
Anyway, we were sitting there and Jaipatta Viraj was telling these wonderful nectar pastimes. And I was sitting by two sannyasis, two very prominent devotees in the movement. And one of them turned to the other and said, it's nectar like this that keeps me in this movement.
