Transcript excerpt from a question-and-answer session (likely by Jaya Pataka Swami) recorded in Dallas about how distant disciples can serve their guru. The speaker explains types of service to a spiritual master (vapu seva/personal service, vani seva/serving by following instructions) and encourages disciples to follow instructions, study devotional texts, engage in devotional service, and persist despite long spiritual timelines.

My question is like disciples are far away in different countries, different states. So how can we serve you? Very far. Some of us disciples are far away in different countries. We can see. So how can we still serve you? Service of guru. You see, there's two types of service to Guru Bhavaseva. Vapu seva, Raghat seva and Brahmi seva. When I personally present, I'm grateful. Personal service. So when I'm personally present and you're doing some personal service, that's the vapu seva. That is called vapu seva. Other eyes. Vanessa. To serve the spiritual master, acquiring his instructors. Otherwise Vani seva is to serve the spiritual master by following his instructions. So if you like the Rodis, if you study Quran rad works, if you make devotees, if you study Srila Prabhupada's books, you engage in some form of devotional service. I get very happy by that. I get very happy by that. And it's not necessary that you have to be where I am. It's not necessary that you have to be where I am. You can carry out my instructions anywhere. Hare Krishna. Guru Maharaj, please accept my respectful obeisances. I cannot speak. Guru Maharaj, when we are chanting the Mahamandra, how do we develop the love or the feeling of separation from Lord Krishna? Shiva Baba said it took 20 years for him. How many lifetimes will it take for us? How many lifetimes it will take for us, I don't know. But we try to do service for Lord Krishna. But we try to do service for Lord Ka Prabhad. Guru Vishnu Prabhupada for Guru. And this way Arachni, the devotional ecstasy. Dogs on stars. And in this way, devotional ecstasies. Devotional service increase. Thank you for watching our videos. Be sure to subscribe to our channel. We publish new videos every day. And don't forget to like and share our channel.
